Day One Thousand and Forty Five

Miss Pancake

It was so beautiful this morning that Zita and I had two walks.

It was just an all over everywhere sunshine day.

And it was not even cold,

Zita only had to wear her keep you warm fuzzy for the first walk.

When we got home she talked to her parents in far away.

I had my first nap on my sofa in the den.

Then we went on another all over everywhere walk.

And when we got home Craig was all awake and getting up.

I had a late lunch, because Craig was all awake bit late walking up. Oh well.

I got a piece of our old as can be cheese with my lunch. Ha.

Then Zita went to visit Mister IKEA’s store, to find some boxes for her clothes fixing table.

I did not go, because I was guarding Craig.

Mister Tom brought us some of our very favourite detective programs. My goodness.

Mister Tom always had good detective programs for us.

Because we are good friends.

When I was watching the whole world from my watching window I saw that some of our leaves are not green.

That is because soon all the beautiful leaves will just fall down onto the ground. Oh dear.

When Zita got home she had some of our delicious cinnamon buns, that Mister IKEA makes for our breakfast.

It was very nice outside this afternoon, so I had my before dinner nap in my side yard.

And then Craig and I played take the ball away. Ha. He is not so strong as me.

So I always win that game.

We had some more of the

extra wedding food for our dinnertime.

Zita and I had a very nice sleep in today.

And after our breakfasts, we went on a lovely all over walk.

When we got home we made brand new Irish bread. Ha.

Then when it was just cooking we went on another walk. My goodness me.

And it was a lovely day too.

Then Niamh and Mister Tyler came here. To borrow the fast car.

Because they had to go to the too much of everything store.

To buy lots of food.

Then when Craig was all dressed Niamh and the fast car came back.

So Niamh could have a nice visit with me.

After I had my lunch, I helped Craig with his Irish toasts, and there was jams all over them. Ha.

Then I sat in the kitchen and listened to Zita and Niamh talk.

Because I am a very good listener.

Then Zita took Niamh back to Mister Tyler’s apartment.

I minded Craig, when he was playing with the computer.

When Zita came home I was very happy to see her. Ha.

It is very quiet here, because it is only Craig and Zita here for me to mind. Oh well.

It is very nice for me when I have lots of people to mind. Sometimes I get even more treats.

My friend Mister Kirian always gives me treats.

Before dinnertime Zita was busy making Emmet’s bedroom her clothes fixing room again.

So we all can have clothes that do not fall down. Ha.

We had Tyler cooked hamburgers for our dinner. And I got giant pieces of lettuce.

Then it was detective time for us.

Day One Thousand and Forty Three

We had a very quiet day today.

Because it is only Craig and Zita and I here.

Zita had a nice breakfast with her lady friends and I minded Craig.

And when he was all dressed it was my lunchtime.

Then I helped him with his toasty bagel. It was very full of butter.

And butter is my favourite.

Then Zita went to that store, because something brand new for the outside cooker was broken.

I minded Craig, all by myself.

My friends Emmet and Alice are back in their own apartment in far away Cork. They told us.

Then when Zita got home she talked to her far away sister. My goodness. So many far away people.

And nice nurse Rose came to give Craig a brand new bandage for his shoulder.

But she does not have to come here so often anymore. Because he is nearly perfect again. Ha.

That is because I keep him toasty as can be all night. That is a good job for me.

We had a special tasty pie for our dinner.

It was from the wedding restaurant.

We saved in it the refrigerator, so we could have it when we were very hungry.

And that was tonight. Ha.

And we were finished very early, so we could watch the detectives right in our comfy bed. Ha.

Day One Thousand and Forty Two

My goodness me, my friend Erin is going on a very big adventure tip to very far away Japan.

And her mother is going with her. That is a good idea.

Now they will not get lost.

Maybe she will send me beautiful pictures. Ha.

It was a just for the flowers day today.

But when we went on our walk we only got just a very little bit soggy.

I was helping Niamh in her office when Craig was getting all dressed, but he made a very loud noise.

So I ran in right away.

But I could not be his helper, because he was all better.

It was just his broken up leg. The doctors put it back together a bit wrong.

So sometimes it is not so very perfect.

Today Emmet and Alice are going to the aeroport. Because that is where the aeroplanes live.

And they are going to find the one that knows where their in Cork apartment is. Ha.

But maybe they will come back for Merry Christmas time.

If Alice’s hospital is not way too busy.

Maybe they can be at our very special Merry Christmas parties. My goodness me.

Maybe we might have the smelly cheese. With crunchy biscuits too. Ha.

After lunchtime Emmet went out to have a tea, with his old friend Mister Even.

Then we were all very sad, because Emmet and Alice had to go back to far away Ireland.

So I gave them my very best nose hugs.

And then the fast car took them away.

And when it got back Zita and Niamh went shopping for groceries, before Niamh went to Tyler’s apartment.

But when Zita got back there was nobody here except us. My goodness me.

So we went to fast asleep very early. Ha.

We had a very lovely sleep.

Because everybody was too tired.

And this morning the fast car brought Niamh home from the cottage, so she could do her work.

I was her best helper.

When Alice was all awake, and had her own breakfast, Emmet and Alice went on an adventure walk.

Because it was a beautiful as could be day outside.

When Craig got up I helped him eat his toasty bagels.

Then I had a relax, so Zita went to find brand new very delicious peaches.

Maybe we will have them for our dessert tonight.

The fast car went to downtown and found Emmet and Alice and brought them back home.

And then Emmet and Alice and Niamh and Tarryn and Dina went to the hard questions restaurant.

Craig and Zita and I went to bed. Ha.

Day One Thousand and Forty

My Goodness, what a time.

Sunday, when everybody was at the wedding I stayed here to mind Miss Dina.

And my house.

And when my friends the Badgers got home, they all had to go downstairs for a relax.

They said that they were out in the sun for too long.

Craig said it was the champagne cocktails at the after wedding restaurant party.

Then all of Emmet and Niamh’s friends came here for the next party.

So Zita and Auntie Eileen and I hid at Miss Bruna’s house.

Craig was just tired, so he went to fast asleep in our big bed.

We put lots and lots of the extra food in Miss Bruna’s refrigerator, then we sat outside and had lots of coffees and treats.

But before we went home I took Zita and Auntie Eileen on a before bedtime walk.

And we took a picture of my favourite giant tree.

I was the best minder dog.

When we got home the house was still full of the lovely friends.

And there were lots of pieces of pizzas everywhere. My goodness me.

But we were tired and just went to our own bed.

And when we got up in the morning we were the only ones here.

Because Emmet and Alice went to the beautiful castle hotel.

And the fast car took Niamh and Mister Kirian to the Mahoney’s cottage.

So Zita and Auntie Eileen and I sat in the side yard and had coffees and delicious treats.

Even some of that tasty as could be salmons, on top of scones. Ha.

When Craig got up Zita and Eileen went out to do even more shopping.

I was too tired, so was Craig, so we stayed here and had a together relax.

And after dinnertime we all went to bed early, except for Zita and Auntie Eileen who just talked for a long time.

This morning I minded the house when Zita and Auntie Eileen did more shopping.

Craig told me that it was the day for all the dogs everywhere.

But we were way too tired after all parties and the too much treats.

So we had a relax and had a butter tart for our breakfast.

When Zita and Auntie Eileen got home, it was time to find that aeroplane that takes Auntie Eileen back to Ireland.

And then Professor Jill came over to give Alice a fat envelope present. Ha.

And everybody had biscuits.

And when Zita got back it was time for our walk.

Then Zita went and found an already cooked delicious chicken. For our together dinner.

Day One Thousand and Thirty Eight - A Blackthorn-Badger Special Report

Miss Pancake has asked me to take the notes at Master Emmet’s wedding.

Unfortunately some deranged bureaucrat had decreed that dogs were persona non grata at the location.

So I have been honoured to be her scribe for the auspice event.

Considering that the event took place at the summer retreat of the rather deranged Mackenzie King we went to the location the evening before to sanitize everything.

Festis, Furrgus’s and I circumscribed the location by pouring third rate Bulgarian whiskey in the pattern of the Blackthorn-Badger tartan.

Then as the clock struck twelve Festis on his pibroch and Furrgus on his accordion, did a stirring rendering of the Highland Cathedral, driving any mischievous sìth from the environs.

So yesterday as we boarded Mister Clifford, we were confident the site was well protected from gouls, kelpies, wulvers or stray bean-nigh.

Through the kind efforts and arm twisting of Richard we were able to disembark close to the site.

The off-road wheel was attached to the chair and we were off.

Mister Tyler provided the muscle.

The ceremony went off without a hitch.

The efforts of Niamh and Tarryn flowered everywhere.

And not one was liberated from a stranger’s garden, which unfortunately broke millennia of Blackthorn-Badger tradition.

Miss Alice was spectacular as she made her appearance.

We only saw it from the periphery, as we three were the self appointed mystical security.

Well, where Mackenzie King is concerned one does not take the normal for granted.

Now considering the weather the decision to have water coolers available was well done.

The same nameless bureaucrats who prevented Miss P’s attendance also mandated against mint juleps and iced Champers.

But we struggled on and managed to look composed for the obligatory documentation of the event.

And eventually all the regular suspects were rounded up, including Mister Charlie.

Fortunately Emmet and Alice chose the perfect venue for the reception.

There was enough champagne to even impress Furrgus’s jaded opinion.

And the scones, the scones, my goodness the scones, well we filled our sporrans to the brim.

Since we were no longer on security we were able to mingle.

Everyone was there, Judge Louise, Professor Jill, all of Emmet’s Dungeon and Dragons friends, Alice’s aunts and uncles even some who braved the American border.

And of course everyone of the Mahoneys.

And there was a reunion as Festis and Furrgus’s old landlords, Aunt and Jane and Uncle George were naturally there too. My lord.

Then we all bundled ourselves and Mrs. Eileen into Mister Clifford and arrived at the reception.

Unfortunately they decided to forgo the customary speeches, so I could not apologize for the absence of the Imperious Pigs marching pipes and oboes. They were in Ukrain. ‘Nought said.

And in spite of the crush, there was so much extra and extraordinarily delicious food, that it was all bundled over to Miss Bruna’s refrigerator.

And as could we be expected, as soon as the “auld ones” departed a follow-on party erupted back at our home.

Festis, Furrgus and I went to the pub to relax.

Day One Thousand and Thirty Six

My goodness me.

Last night we had the biggest cheese party ever. And I was there.

And everybody was here.

Even all of Alice’s family too. and I met them too.

I was very polite, so I got lots of tasty cheese.

And they brought Craig a present.

And it was one of Zita’s family’s dangerous friends.

That was a good present.

It is to keep your tea as warm as could be.

And Mister Tyler cooked all the hamburgers for everybody on the outside stove.

And they were very delicious. Craig gave me a big bite of his next one.

And Mister Tyler smelled just like hamburgers. My goodness me.

And everybody gave me more cheese. Ha. That was a very good party.

And Emmet and Alice got married in my park.

But it was a secret, because they are getting married tomorrow too.

And next year they are getting married again, but this time in Ireland.

It is for all the from Ireland friends. My goodness me.

But I cannot be there, because of the aeroplanes. Oh well.

When our party was all over I got my comfy chair back. Ha.

Then it was very late and it was past everybody’s bedtime.

So we went to fast sleep.

Emmet and Alice and Niamh and Tyler went to bed downstairs, in their own bedrooms.

I went to fast asleep beside Craig and Zita. Ha.

Day One Thousand and Eighty Five

What a busy day I had.

When Emmet came home he had their hair all beautiful for the wedding,

Because Miss Sue always makes his hair all beautiful.

And then my friend Tara came to visit.

And Mister Charlie was with her. My goodness me.

Mister Charlie is a brand new baby.

So I was very very careful.

Because babies are very little. My goodness me.

Tarra is going to be Emmet’s best person at the wedding. Ha. That was a good idea.

Noe everybody has very beautiful fingers.

You have to be very beautiful when you get married.

And Emmet and Alice are getting married two times.

Today they are getting married right in our park.

And tomorrow they are getting married with all our friends, in that almost a castle.

My goodness me.

Day One Thousand and Eighty Four

I have been very very busy again.

As soon as were all awake we got in Susan’s new car and went to the giant garage.

Because they had fixed my friend Mister Clifford all up.

And the nice lady was very glad to see me.

So I got two giant treats this time.

And we brought them a very big box of doughnuts.

Because they were very very good helpers.

Then we took the borrowed giant car back to its garage.

And we took Emmet and Alice downtown to find their getting how to get married papers.

And then it was time to go to our own aeroport and we found Auntie Eileen there. My goodness me.

When we got home Craig was up, so I helped him with his lunch muffins.

Then I went into the office to be Niamh’s best under the desk assistant. My goodness me.

So I had my nap.

Because I was very busy all day.

And we are having a party here tomorrow. It is a before the wedding party.

So Zita and Auntie Eileen went to get some especially delicious dinner treats.

Maybe even smelly cheeses.

And the very delicious just for meat shop, is going to make special hamburgers for our party. My goodness.

Alice’s mother and father are coming to our party. So I have to very polite.

Or they might think that Craig and Zita are not very good dog helpers.

Maybe they will put my good dog medals on my little house.

So everybody would know I passed my polite dog exams.

This afternoon Craig was reading one of Emmet’s very interesting stories.

And it is going to be in a book, so everybody can read it, not just Craig and me.

It is about old old Irishmen throwing swords up in the air, and catching them.

But not all the time. My goodness me, that is a silly game.

Auntie Eileen is going to sleep on my sofa in our office.

So Zita and Niamh made it into a comfy bed. My goodness.

But I still have my lovely sofa in the den, and my comfy chair.

So I did not mind.

Tonight Emmet and Alice are playing the dragons game with his friends from our nice university.

Day One Thousand and Eighty Three

My goodness, we had another very busy day.

Because today an aeroplane brought Emmet and Alice back home.

So Zita got a much bigger car so all their important stuff can fit.

The fast car is not so very big.

And Mister Clifford was visiting the special fix it garage.

And tomorrow Auntie Eileen is going to be here too.

That is why Zita went to the too much store, so we would have enough too much tea.

After lunchtime Zita went to that Aeroport in not too faraway Montreal.

And she brought lots of food for Emmet and Alice.

Because they were all nearly awake for a very very long time.

So they had a car picnic. My goodness me. That is funny.

Craig said that there are no ants at car picnics. That was silly.

Then I decided it was the best time for my own relax.

But I helped Craig with his oatmeal cookies. He had them for his lunch. My goodness me.

When we had a together dinner with my friends Emmet and Alice. Ha.

And they talked and talked and until they were all too tired because of the wrong clocks in Ireland.

So we went to bed.

Day One Thousand and Eighty Two

Last night, just before we went to fast asleep Niamh had a big idea.

So the fast car took Zita and Niamh and I up to the busy street.

And we got ice cream treats.

Zita got a giant chocolate ice cream in a box, and Craig and Niamh got especially delicious milkshakes.

And those milkshakes had their own special glasses. My goodness me.

And they had that all whipped up cream on top. My goodness me.

And I got some of Craig’s too. Ha.

This morning, after our walk Kathy came and then Zita and Kathy went to the way too much store.

To find things for our wedding. My goodness me.

I stayed here to help Niamh and to mind Craig.

We have champagnes in a big box. Zita put it downstairs.

All the Badgers are very excited about the wedding.

They had to get Cousin Mórag to send them their very best uniforms. My goodness.

Because Emmet asked Colonel Dugal to give a speech.

But now he is very nervous, and is always in the bathroom, in the basement, practicing his talking.

So everybody has to use the upstairs bathroom. Oh dear.

Craig is going to talk too.

Festis and Furrgus are not going to say anything, because they have to guard the special bottles of very old scotch, for the Cheers to Emmet and Alice time.

Niamh was very busy today, but I could not be her helper, because I was very busy minding Craig.

Zita and I went out for our before dinnertime walk.

It was only a bit rainy, so were were not all soggy as could be.

Day One Thousand and Eighty One

We had a quiet day today, because we were way too busy yesterday. Especially me.

We had a very nice long slow walk, after our breakfast.

And when we got back it was time for me to be Niamh’s best helper.

Because she had lots and lots of very important work to do.

But I was a very big help.

Then Zita and I made delicious muffins.

And when Craig was all awake I helped him eat two of those very delicious muffins.

Then Zita went to do a giant groceries shopping.

Because tomorrow Emmet and Alice will be at my own house. Ha.

So Zita got lots of brand new tea.

Because Alice’s own parents will be here soon.

I think they are going to the wedding too.

And they can only drink teas, because they are Irish.

Sometimes I get ice in my water, if it is way too hot outside.

We had very fat hamburgers for dinner.

But we did not watch our detectives tonight, because we talked too much. Oh well.

Day One Thousand and Eighty

This morning we had lots and lots of rain for our farmers.

They will be very happy, and our own vegetables too.

But when we went for our hello to everybody walk it was just beautiful and not even a bit hot.

But then Zita found that clean the floors machine.

So I went to the bedroom to keep Craig company, and toasty warm.

But as soon he did his stretches we went and found my friend Niamh.

And when we got home Tarryn was there, so we had together toasts.

I waited right beside Craig and he gave me all the crumbs. Ha.

Zita and Susan went to look for something for Susan.

But then Niamh told me that it was time to finish my get all beautiful for the wedding.

Oh dear. I thought I was beautiful enough.

So Niamh and I and Tarryn went into my side yard.

Because Niamh found that noisy scissors machine. Oh dear.

But Niamh told me that she did not want the wedding guests to think I was a messy dog.

So now my fur coat was the very same all over me.

And everyone can see my beautiful eyes. That is a good idea.

And when Zita got home she helped too.

I got lots of treats, because I was very brave.

Those noisy machines are a bit scary. But I was very brave. Ha.

Maybe I will get some beautiful brave medals, like Craig’s father.

The old King gave him those medals,

Because he fixed his aeroplane, while it was still up in the sky.

So it did not even crash even a little bit. My goodness.

When I was all dry as a chip, we talked to the special and delicious pizza shop.

But it was a secret, because we did not get Mister Tony’s pizza this time.

And a very nice man brought it to us.

And I got some of the very crunchy crust.

Then we went to bed, because getting beautiful makes me very tired.

Day One Thousand and Seventy Nine

My goodness me.

I had a big adventure yesterday.

But I could not tell everybody, because Craig had to stay in bed to do his stretchings.

But we took Mister Clifford to the very special garage, very very early in the morning.

With Miss Susan.

I went too.

And it was a giant garage, and they said it was alright for nice dogs to visit.

So I met everybody and I did not even have my leash. Ha.

And they had special very big tasty treats for big dogs like me.

And everybody told me I was beautiful and very polite. That was true, Zita told me.

That garage makes their own things for any car, even for Mister Clifford’s ramp.

And a very nice man explained all about making a new part to Zita. For a very long time.

He was very excited. My goodness.

And then the fast car took us to Mister Tyler’s to get Niamh and bring her home.

Because she had lots of important work to do.

So I helped her.

And last night for dinner we had bacon sandwiches. Right in bed.

Because of Miss Janet’s stretching exercise.

I got lots of bacons. Ha.

This morning Zita and I went for a lovely all over walk, before all the too hot came to my street.

Craig got up early this morning, but I did not help him.

Because I was having my after breakfast naps.

Then Zita and I went downtown to get Niamh.

Because I had a SPA day.

So I would be beautiful as could be for our wedding.

But I had to have a bath first. Oh well.

And my bathtub was very dirty when I was all squeaky clean.

Then Zita and Niamh got my scissors to take away all the nasty knots.

And tomorrow they are going to use those noisy scissors to make me all even and furry. Ha.

We had some tasty rollups for our lunch.

Then Niamh went to find Tarryn.

And when they were here I minded them.

They were very glad I was there.

Then we had delicious chillies, after Zita took Niamh and Tarryn to downtown to Tyler’s apartment.

So they could have their own altogether dinnertime.

Then it was detective time for us.

Day One Thousand and Seventy Seven

We had such a very beautiful day today. And it was for all day too.

And we had a very long nice walk.

And when the fast car brought Niamh home we had a together breakfast.

Last night we had that from China food with the Mahoneys.

But it was only Richard and Kathy, everybody else was busy.

Mister Kiran got a new job, cooking in an expensive restaurant. Goodness me.

When Craig was all awake I helped him with some brand new muffins. They were strawberries muffins.

Miss Rose, the very nice nurse came to look at the bandage on Craig’s shoulder.

She said he is not going to be sick at all. That is good.

Then Niamh and Zita doing secret things.

They did not tell me, or even Craig, because it is secret. My goodness me.

So I had my afternoon nap.

Then Professor Alec and Miss Francis came here, and they gave us a card for Emmet and Miss Alice.

Professor Alec used to be Emmet’s favourite professor.

But now she is all retired. Ha.

Niamh did not win at the hard questions restaurant’ last night. So we were all very sad.

So we had food from far away India.

Then we were not a bit sad.

But is was not for nice dogs.

So Craig found some especially tasty cheese for me.

Because we are best friends. Ha.

We had the extra, from last night’s party, from China food for tonight’s dinnertime.

Then we went to bed early, because we were up very late last night, talking.

Day One Thousand and Seventy Six

My goodness, when Zita and I were all awake there was a loud thunderstorm, and lots and lots of rain.

Zita said our garden will be very happy, and all our farmers too. That is good.

But when we went for our good morning walk it was all finished raining.

So we did not get soggy.

Niamh was doing her work very early this morning, because this afternoon she went to help Tarryn at the lovely shop.

And at lunchtime Zita went to the busy street to visit Doctor Don.

And now he has to fix a bit of a broken tooth. Oh dear.

When she came home Craig got up and found me a big piece of delicious cheese.

Because I had not eaten my lunch.

Then I helped him eat a blueberries muffin.

Then I had a long nap.

Because my toe medicine makes me a bit sleepy.

Before dinnertime Zita made our front garden all neat and tidy.

Because it was all messy after all that very loud thunder.

I think the loud thunder scared some of the leafs off some of our trees.

Oh dear me, that was not so good.

Tonight Richard and Kathy came to our house for a very delicious dinner.

Niamh could not have any of our dinner, because it was hard questions night at that restaurant. Too bad for her.

Day One Thousand and Seventy Five

My goodness me, it was even hot outside when we were all just awake.

So we had our slow walk very early today.

Then I helped Niamh and my friend Erin on the computer.

And I helped Craig with his breakfast toasts.

Then our fast car took me to my nice hospital, because I had a sore toe.

I think a nasty bug bit me when I was in my side yard yesterday.

We went on the very big fast road, so I could not put my head out the window.

Because Zita said my ears might come off if we went too fast. My goodness me.

I would not like that.

My very nice lady Doctor gave me some cream for my toes. So I will be all better.

Then I had a big nap, because going to the doctor makes me very tired.

When Niamh’s work was all over she and Zita went out to do some shopping.

I stayed here with Craig, so he would not be lonely.

That was my good idea, because when he found two tasty butter tarts I was right here to help him.

So he did not have to eat them all by himself. Ha.

And Zita and Niamh came home, they brought lots of different dinners with them.

And my friend Tarryn too.

Yesterday Miss Sally went to Cousin Ciara’s office, so she could mind everybody.

That was a good job for her.

We watched a new program tonight, because we have to wait for the other program.

‘I do not know why. Maybe it is a secret. Maybe.

When we got back from our very early in the morning walk Niamh was all awake.

But she was in a giant go fast.

Because she forgot that she had a far away meeting today.

So she had to as fast as ever so the fast car could get her to that meeting. My goodness me.

Then Zita had and Mister Clifford had to go and to important errands.

So I had to mind the house all by myself.

Because Craig was still in the comfy bed. Too bad for me.

And Mister Kyle’s helpers cut away the last of that racoon’s tree, with very noisy machines.

I barked at them, but they could not hear me. Because that machine was way too loud.

Then Zita was home and Craig was all dressed, so I helped Craig eat his lunch.

But then Zita and Mister Clifford went out again, so I had my after lunch nap.

Mister Clifford had a funny noise, so he took Zita to Mister Mike’s fix it shop.

Then my friend came to visit me and to fix her broken bicycle.

She had a very big glass of icy water, because of the way too hot again.

Then the fast car brought Niamh home and Zita came home just then too.

And after a very little while Sach came here to talk to Zita and Niamh, before they went to a restaurant for dinner.

Craig and Zita had their own dinner after me.

We went for a very early walk this morning, because it was still way too hot outside.

We did not see any of my friends, or the giant bird today. Oh well.

When we got home I got up on my watching chair, and Zita talked to Auntie Eileen on her little telephone.

Auntie Eileen is going to visit me so we can be Zita’s best helpers for the wedding.

Mister Sully has to stay in far away, to mind Cousin Lucy. Oh well.

The nice Miss Rose came to put a brand new bandage on Craig’s shoulder.

And then Mister Jordan came to make Craig all neat and tidy for the wedding, even his very messy beard. Ha.

Niamh and Zita are going to make me as beautiful as can be too.

For the wedding, not just because I am a bit too furry.

When Craig was all tidy, Zita and Susan went to do some extra shopping.

I stayed inside with Craig, and we had a cinnamon bun.

Craig said that cinnamon buns are the very best thing to have, when it is too hot outside.

And ice cream too.

So we had some white ice cream too. Ha.

Then I had my afternoon nap, and when I was all awake Zita was home, and it was nearly my dinner time.

I had my dinner first, so I could help Zita cooking the sausages.

The fast car brought Niamh back from that cottage. I was very happy when she got home.

Because then my family is all right here so I can mind them. That is my best job.

We watched that girl in the scary school after dinner. In our bedroom.

But I went to fast asleep again. Oh well.

Day One Thousand and Seventy One

My goodness me. What a busy time I have had.

Yesterday Miss Janet came here to do the stretching exercises with Craig.

I was Craig’s helper. I sat on the floor so he would not know that he was all too sore.

And then he had to fix somebody’s far away computer. My goodness.

Niamh and Mister Tyler went to Mister Jamie’s cottage with Tarryn.

And they are going to sleep there. And go on Mister Jamie’s sailing boat.

But there are no giant whales there, so it is alright.

And yesterday that Mister Kyle’s helpers took away the raccoon’s tree. Ha. Too bad for them.

Now they cannot look into my dining room.

And even the kitchen is all full of sunshine, because that raccoon tree is gone.

My friend the giant bird was in the pond this morning when we went on our early as could be walk.

I think it was watching for those nasty fish.

When we got back home Zita and I washed the very dirty windows. I sat and minded her, all by myself.

We stayed outside until it was too hot, then we went inside so Zita could talk to Nana and Grandad.

The dangerous sharks did not get them so they were back in their house. That is good.

Then Zita did Miss Janet’s stretches with Craig and I sat on the bed with him.

When Craig was all dressed I had my lunch, because Zita always forgets my lunch time. Oh well.

Then Mister Clifford took Zita away to do some errands, because Niamh borrowed the fast car.

I stayed inside with Craig because it was way way too hot outside today.

So I had my afternoon naps inside today.

Last night we watched a new program, and it did not have any detectives.

It had a little girl who is going to a strange school.

But she has a hand for a friend.

And that hand does not have a body. My goodness me. But it is not way too scary.

When Zita came home she was almost all melted away, but she found delicious food and some chips anyway.

Last night those nice brothers made Craig a very very tasty rollup, and Zita found some not a bit cooked food from Japan. My goodness.

But tonight we had outside cooked hamburgers. And Chips. I was Zita cooking helper.

Then it was stretching time for Craig, before we watched that girl on the television.

And then we went to bed. Ha.

Day One Thousand and Seventy

 

Miss Pancake 

My goodness, we had another very busy day. 

After our long walk the fast car took Zita and I to my little hospital to get my nasty bugs medicine.

And when we got back Craig got some very delicious cheese for me.

Because I forgot to eat my breakfast. 

Because I was too busy.

Then a very tall man came to our house.

Because Craig is going to get a brand new go fast chair. 

And he was the get a fast chair man.

And as soon as he left Zita and I got in the fast car and went to our Aeroport.

Because my friend Niamh came back home today. 

And Mister Tyler too. My goodness me.

So we found them right there at our aeroport. 

And we took Mister Tyler to his apartment and we went home to my house.

And when Niamh opened up her take it with you bag it was full up to the top.

And there were presents for everyone. Ha. 

We had another very early dinnertime, so Niamh could have a squeaky clean bath, before she went to the hard questions restaurant. 

So we drove her to Tarryn’s house. 

While I was at the aeroport a nice lady nurse came to look at the bandage on Craig’s side. 

And now we have a box full up with everything for nasty cuts. Or even chopped off heads.

My goodness me.

Day One Thousand and Sixty Nine

Miss Pancake 

After Zita and I had our breakfasts we went on our good morning walk.

And it was a very very beautiful day. 

And when we got home Zita asked me if I wanted to go on an expedition. My goodness me.

Expeditions are bigger than adventures. It is known. 

And sometimes even dangerous, because of bears. 

Today was Zita’s breakfast time with Susan and Miss Chris. 

But today everybody was going to look at where Emmet and Alice are getting all married.

And Zita asked me to go and be their very best minder dog. My goodness me.

Because it was an expedition. Ha. 

So we all got in the fast car and drove up lots of hills until we got there, 

Then we walked a long way to where all the old stones are. 

I was there before a long time ago, but today we went to the part where Emmet and Alice will get as married as can be. 

And there was even a little bit of a castle there. My goodness me.

But not all of it. 

Not even a little moat full of nice ducks. Oh well.

And we made lots of pictures and even made a movie to send to Emmet. 

And I was the very best guarder dog ever. Zita told me. So it is true. 

Then the fast car found a very delicious restaurant for our lunch, and we had our lunch outside.

The restaurant had lots of outside tables. 

So I sat underneath, right on Zita’s feet. 

And that restaurant made its own croissants. That is a good restaurant.

But when we got home I needed a relax. 

But I helped Craig with our Irish bread toasts. 

Then I went fast fast asleep. 

When I was asleep Zita went to Mister IKEA’s store, to get some brand new towels. Because of guests. 

And she even found some of Mister IKEA’s very delicious cinnamon buns for our breakfasts. 

Then it was dinner time.  

Craig and Zita had Craig’s favourite chillies. 

I got some very delicious chicken on top of my dinner.

Then it was detective time for us.

But I went to fast asleep, because I had a very busy day. 

Day One Thousand and Sixty Eight

Miss Pancake 

Today is a holiday for everybody except for us.

Because when you get all retired you do not get those holidays anymore. Oh well.

But we went to our farm. The fast car took us. 

And we had a very very long visit. 

And the corns were nearly all grown.

And we walked all over. 

It was not so very sunshiny, because the trees on fire smoke. 

But we had a very good time, and our farm was very glad to see us. 

But was still a bit too hot for very furry dogs like me. 

But because we do not have to go to work we had lots of nice little relaxes.

We did not watch any detectives last night because Craig and Zita talked to Miss Andrea until too late.

But Miss Andrea had the very best smelly shoes. My goodness me.

They were her working in her hospital shoes, and I could smell lots and lots brand new smells. 

My goodness me, that was very interesting for me. 

She said maybe she should wash her shoes more. 

Then we went to our comfy beds. 

Day One Thousand and Sixty Seven

My goodness, we had another very nice day.

But the outside was a bit smelly, because of all the far away trees on fire. That is not so very nice. 

So Zita turned on our special air cleaning machin. So our own air is a clean as can be. 

I was Zita’s very best garden helper today. That is a good job for me. 

Then we got the house all spic and span. Because Miss Doctor Andrea came for diner. 

It was a late dinner because she came here right after she finished fixing people at the hospital.

So I had my dinner before everybody else. Ha.

I saw Niamh on Zita’s telephone, and all our cousins too. 

Because they were all at a loud outside concert in Wexford. 

Mister Lee was there too. 

But Miss Sally had to stay home to guard their house. My goodness me. 

Then they went to a nice restaurant to have too many chips and maybe more beers. 

When Doctor Miss Andrea went home it was too late for detectives, so we went to bed.

Day One Thousand and Sixty Six

Miss Pancake 

It was our do not go to work Saturday, but now I hardly go to work, because I am nearly all retired too.

Just like Craig and Zita. 

So we went for a very long walk. 

We even walked on Kathy’s street and when we went to our other pond my friends the ducks were there.

When we went home I minded Craig, because Zita and the fast car had to go and get groceries.

All the birds like our outside bathtub. 

  

We have to put brand new water in it all the time. 

Because those birds are very messy. 

Niamh and Tyler went to visit the very old jail with my friend Cousin Lucy.. It is in Dublin. 

And it was the same jail where Zita’s very dangerous relatives used to live. My goodness.

Even Grandad’s own father.

They did not stay for so very long, because the bedrooms very not so cosy. Or very big.

Today they went to a nice town near auntie Eileen’s take it with you house. 

It has a giant round and round machine. I do not think I would like that machine so much.

Yesterday when Craig was having his relax, I was Zita’s very best garden helper. 

We took all the too many weeds all away. Too bad for them. 

This afternoon Zita and I had important errands to do.

And we went to our own hardware store. 

And I got a treat. Only very polite dogs get treats in that store. 

When we got home, it was dinner time for everybody.

Craig and Zita had bacons sandwiches, and I got some extra salmons on my dinner. 

Salmons are my favourite. Even scary giant bears like salmons. My goodness me.

And after everything was spic and span we watched that detective program.
