Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety Seven

Miss Pancake 

​We had a very quiet day today.

Because my friend Niamh went to Toronto. On that train.

Because Niamh and Tara are going to listen to some loud music together. 

Two different times. 

And Niamh is going to sleep there too. My goodness.

I think she will see Mister Charlie and Taylor too. My goodness.

This morning after our walk Zita went to the machines store.

And she found a new clothes cleaner for us. And Niamh too. Ha. 

I could not go, because they might put me in one of those machines. Zita told me.

When Craig got up his shoulder was almost all perfect again. That is good.

And when he had his coffee I helped him with the muffins.

Zita did not have a muffin, because she was talking to Auntie Eileen in far away Ireland.

This afternoon the present man brought us a very big box. 

And it was from Cousin Mórag, for Festis and Furrgus.

But it was just a bunch of very old dusty books.

But all the badgers were very excited. 

Colonel Dugal even woke up.

So they made toasty bagels and jams sandwiches, and went downstairs to their special room.

They did not even come up after dinner.

And it is their Friday night at Miss Irene’s pub. My goodness me. 

We had own made rollups for our dinner. 

And we had to find a new detective program for us. 

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety Six

Miss Pancake 

I did not tell Craig a very big story today.

Because his shoulder was too sore.

And he took his do not too sore medicine.

So then I minded him while he was fast asleep. 

Good for me. 

But Zita said our poor cleaning the clothes machine was too tired.

And we are going to get a very brand new machine. My goodness. 

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety Five

Miss Pancake 

​When I looked out my window this morning there was a big truck on my street.

And some men were working, but I do not know what they were doing. 

Zita did not know either. Maybe it is a secret. Maybe. 

But we went for our walk anyway, and we went to Mister Kettleman’s store and got brand new bagels.

Because then we went and brought Niamh to my house. 

And she had bagels with us for her breakfast.

When Craig was all dressed and awake he had his coffee. 

And Zita made him a toasty bagel.

I got two pieces.

Because today is the special day for dogs. Everywhere. Especially in my house. Ha.

Niamh was working with my friend Miss Erin this afternoon. So I minded them.

Then Niamh and I went outside to do our important work. Right on the swinging chair. 

I had a very good time. 

But when I was inside a silly man came into my garden and scared Niamh. 

And Zita said if he came back I should bite him all up. That is a very good idea. 

When Niamh went to the hard questions restaurant, we had our own dinners.

And then it was a good time for bed.

So we did.

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety Four

Miss Pancake 

​It was a sometimes all full of rain morning.

So we had to be careful when we went for our walk.

Because we did not want to be just very soggy.

When Zita went to the grocery store, I had my morning nap, and minded Craig.

When he was all dressed Zita was home too.

And she brought brand new muffins too.

And Craig remembered my lunch, before I even reminded him. 

And when everybody had their coffees I helped with that muffin.

Tonight Niamh and Tyler are going to be here for a tasty dinner.

So Zita and I were very busy making a very delicious special dinner.

Right in the kitchen. 

And we made our very delicious brown buns for the dessert.

And everybody can make their very own rollups. 

With only their own tasty stuff inside. That is a good idea.

Chicken is my favourite inside stuff. 

Zita tried the clothes machine, but it still made the wrong noises. 

So Mister Paul will have another look at it. Oh dear. 

Ferrgus was on the telephone all morning.

He was talking to his Cousin Mórag in the castle. 

Because when he heard Craig’s story he thought he remembered a story from his great grand uncle.

So he asked Mórag to look in the other library. 

The one behind the secret door in the first library.

He thinks there is a very wonderful book about the Clan Badger. 

Before they were the Blackthorn-Badgers. 

So now Cousin Mórag is going to look for it. 

And she did not even know about the other library. 

So she was not so very happy. Oh dear. 

Because Castles have too many secrets. My goodness me. 

Not even Mister Lochlainn knew. 

Maybe his father forgot to tell him all the secrets. Maybe.

I do not know so many secrets.

Just Merry Christmas time secret presents. 

Those are my favourite secrets. Ha.

Before Niamh and Tyler came here Zita and I went just for a little walk. 

So we could have some brand new airs.

Before dinnertime.

When Niamh got here she went and got a free as could be lamp for her apartment. 

Then we had our dinner. 

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety Two

Miss Pancake 

​I had a very nice quiet day today.

Because Mister Paul came black here at lunchtime.

And he fixed that clean the clothes machine. 

But only maybe he said.

So Zita and I have to try it lots of times with my towels. Ha.

Then everybody had even more coffees. 

When Paul was all filled up and went to his house Zita went to see her friend singing.

And she was on her own bicycle too.

This morning she talked to everybody in Ireland. 

To make sure that they did not melt in the too hot. 

But they were all nearly perfect Craig said.

But not as perfect as he is. 

Today my far away friend Miss Sally had her sing happy birthday day. 

And she got her own on fire cake. That was a good idea. 

Zita’s brother Mister Ciaran is in Ireland, and Miss Luna is there too. 

Maybe they went to the singing birthday party. Maybe.

My friend Niamh came to visit me, and to borrow the fast car.

I did not eat my dinner until she was gone.

Because I am a very polite dog.

She said she would be back, and nearly soon. 

And when Zita got home it was her dinnertime, and Craig’s too. 

And they had some of Mister Tony’s used pizza.

Then it was my bedtime. Ha.

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety One

Miss Pancake 

​We had a very nice quiet day today.

We did not go to bed until very late last night.

Because of the very tasty special dessert.

So we went on a long exercises walk this morning. 

And we took our dirty clothes to Susan’s house.

Because she is away, so we used her clothes machine. 

Craig only had a very little sleep in before he made the coffees.

I was outside in my side yard, because it was Sunday nap time.

Craig told me and the badgers a story about his long time ago family. In Scotland. 

When some nasty people scared some nice old ladies. 

And would not let them out of their own house.

But one of their helpers got a big stick. 

And put it on fire.

And ran all over their neighbourhood 

So everybody would come to help the ladies.

And so all the family got their very big pointy swords and giant axes and even lots of very loud bagpipes.

And they walked all night to where the ladies lived.

And in the morning when the nasty people heard this bagpipes they all ran away. Ha.

And then everybody promised to be very nice, and not be scary. Forever.

And when those Scotsmen left they took all the beautiful horses with them.

So they did not have to walk back home. Ha. 

And then all those horses decided to just stay there. My goodness. 

The badgers thought that was a very good story. Me too. 

Before dinner we went on an adventure ride. Mister Clifford took us. 

And we looked at the brand new hospital. 

But it is still just a very big giant hole.

Then when we got home it was my own dinnertime. 

So Craig got it for me right away. 

And after Craig and Zita had dinner Craig had to find a new detective program for us. 

That is his best job. 

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety

Miss Pancake 

​We had a very nice quiet day. 

Because we were very busy yesterday. 

So Zita told me that we won a relax day. Ha. Good for us.

But we still had our lovely good morning to everyone walk. 

Because it was a very beautiful day all over.

So Mister Tom was riding his too fast motorcycle. He told Craig. 

We only did a little bit of interesting work in the garden.

Because it was the relax day for us.

Mister Paul came here for dinner.

And to look at the too noisy clothes machine.

Broken things are his favourite things to look at.

My cousin Ciara could not have a relax day.

Because she went swimming in the giant ocean. 

My goodness me. That is where those giant whales live.

But they did not catch her. 

Maybe they caught some of the other people there instead. My goodness me.

We had a very delicious dinner with Mister Paul.

And because it it was Emmet and Alice’s anniversary we had a very delicious dessert.

And the same lovely shop that made their desserts made this one too. My goodness.

Then it was our very own bedtime.

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Nine

Miss Pancake 

​My goodness me.

We were so busy today that I almost forgot all about my lunch. 

After our breakfast we saw that it was a beautiful outside day.

So we went for a - do our errands walk.

And we went to my hardware store, to get important things.

Because our get our clothes cleaned machine is way too loud. 

So Mister Paul is going to fix it.

So we got some fix it things, and I got my special treat. 

Then we went to visit our canal, and then we found a brand new shop. 

And nice dogs, like me can go inside. 

So we did, and Zita got a giant ice cream cone.

And she ate it all the way back home.

And when we got home it was past my lunchtime, but Craig remembered.

And when we were all full up, we took Emmet’s books to another books store. 

And they gave Zita lots of free coffees for the books. 

Because they are a coffees store too. My goodness. 

And they like dogs too. 

But only when they are polite, just like me.

Then Miss Jennifer came here for some coffees. 

So I minded everybody, by myself.

Then Zita went to Niamh’s apartment and gave her those very clean clothes. 

I stayed here to mind Craig. And to have a nice relax. 

And when Zita came home it was everybody’s dinnertime. I did not forget.

But we had to make all our grass neat and tidy with toe cutting machine.

And then Mister Tony’s friend brought us a very delicious pizza, for our dinner. 

And after our dinnertime cleaning up, we watched a new detective program from Mister Tom. 

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Eight

Miss Pancake 

​I was the very best garden helper dog today.

After our walk Zita and I made the garden all sparkly clean. 

And when the silly dog from the other street was here, so I ran right up to him.

I told him this is my garden, and it is my Zita.

I did not even have to give him my very fierce growl, I just looked at him for a long time, and then he went away.

Because he is a just a very silly dog. 

Then we had our lunch. 

And when Zita went to do her important errands I had my nap.

But then I heard the bedroom door open and I went to see my friend Craig.

And after we said good morning, he opened my door and I went outside until Zita came home.

We stayed inside this afternoon because it got too hot. Oh well. 

My friend Sally was very busy too.

Because she is minding Mister Ben all the time. That is her very best job.

The present man brought us more of Zita’s favourite special coffees. 

But he was a new present man, so I barked at him. Oh well. 

Then Zita took Emmet’s old books to the extra books shop.

Craig and I stayed here and had a lovely relax. 

And I told him my today story. 

So now everybody will know all about our beautiful garden. 

When Zita got home she had a present. 

And that present was for me.

And it was a big ball for me to chase. My goodness me. 

That was a surprise. 

Then Zita chased me, and tried to steal my ball.

But she could not get it. 

Because I am very fast. Ha.

Day Two Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Seven

Miss Pancake 

​Today was my make me beautiful day.

And I did not even know it.

We had another lovely very lovely walk and we saw my friends the ducks.

And it was a beautiful as could be day today. 

So we had a long walk.

And then we went and got Niamh at the apartment. 

So she could make all her dirty clothes all squeaky clean.

And after lunch she said it was just the right time to make me all beautiful. My goodness.

So we went into the side yard and Zita and Niamh found all the make me beautiful tools.

Then I was the very best dog. 

So I got lots of treats.

But when I was beautiful I had to have a big bath. Oh well.

And then Zita got the make you dry machine. Oh well. 

But then I was very tired.

So I had a nap.

Craig said getting beautiful makes you very tired.

It is true.

He said that is why he has nice sleep ins. Ha. 

Tonight is the hard questions restaurant night. So Niamh went to find Tyler. 

So they could have a together dinner.

When our dinners were finished we watched the detectives.

Because everybody was a bit too tired.
