Day Four Hundred and Twenty Four

Miss Pancake 

We had a very quiet day today.

Because we have been very very busy. 

After we went to the farm Zita and I went to our office because we had lots of rascal ladies work to do. 

We even had a quiet time at the farm because we were still tired. 

But I found a nice stick anyway. 

Craig had a big sleep in today so when I got back home I helped him with his lunchtime toasts. 

And then I helped him get up and into his fast chair. That is my favourite job.

Because I do not like it when Craig is just in bed for a long time. 

But then I went into our office to be with Zita so I could be her very best helper.  

Until Craig remembered my second lunchtime. 

But after that I went back to work. All afternoon because we were very busy again. 

When we were finished Zita and Mister Clifford went to do some errands.

And I minded Craig.

Niamh came home but only to get new pants for her another important meeting. 

When Zita got home we made cheese toasties before we watched our detective program.

And I had a nice nap. 

It was a nice quiet day for us. 

Day Four Hundred and Twenty Three

Miss Pancake   

I was a bit tired when we got up this morning.

Because we did not go to bed until very late.

Because Zita and Niamh were at the giant dinner party.

And Niamh saw Mister Prime Minister too.

And then he talked to all the people who came to the rascal ladies dinner party too.

And our lady Governor General was there.

And Niamh talked to her too. My goodness me.

And she knows Mister Saint Santa. 

Because she was born right near his own house. My goodness me. 

Maybe they get each other Merry Christmas presents. Maybe. 

And everybody had a lovely time. 

And Zita told me that my friend Niamh was a brilliant assistant. Ha.

And Niamh found a dessert from Craig’s favourite company.

And she took a picture of it just for Craig. 

So now everybody is very tired.

But Zita and I went to the farm even though it was a bit cold outside for people. 

But not for me. Ha.

We found where they grow the brand new trees. 

And I found the biggest stick ever.

But I could not get it in into our fast car. Too bad for me. 

When we got home I helped my friend Craig get up.

I do not like it when he is in bed all by himself. It is not all right. 

But his shoulder is still too sore and sometimes it needs a rest to get all better. Too bad for me.

Then Zita went downtown to have a tasty lunch at a nice restaurant with all the rascal ladies.

Because everyone had such a good time at their dinner party. Ha. That was a good idea.

So I stayed here to mind Craig and have a long nap. 

Because I was up so late last night. Ha.

But Craig got me all awake when it was my lunchtime. So I would not starve all away. 

Because we are best friends. It is known. 

Today a big box came for Emmet. My goodness. So Craig talked to them in Ireland. 

And they were bery happy because it is a for Emmet present. 

I did not know you could get your own secret presents. That is a good idea. 

Then Zita came home after her lunch so she could have another coffee with Craig.

And then we went back to our rascal ladies work. 

When we were finished we had a relax. And I minded her. 

Niamh came home with the fast car so we could drive her to her meeting. 

And then come home so we could have our before our detective program dinnertime.

And I had my after dinner nap. 

Day Four Hundred and Twenty Two

Miss Pancake   

My goodness today is our very busy day.

So Zita and I went to our farm as soon as we were finished our breakfasts. 

And I had a little fast run.

But then Zita and I had a nice slow walk around so Zita could have a relax before her very important dinner party. 

Because today is the day that the rascal ladies invited everyone to their giant dinner party. 

And everybody is going to wear their beautiful clothes. 

Even Niamh and Tarryn are going to be helpers. When they are finished their work.

So when we got back from the farm Niamh and the fast car went to her shop right away.

And then Craig got up too.

Because Zita had to go to the very big restaurant where they are going to have the party. 

To help all the other rascal ladies. 

So she took some of her beautiful clothes with her. In a big bag.

But there is lots and lots of room in Mister Clifford. 

So then it was a Craig and Pancake day.

Because Zita and Niamh will not get home until past our bedtime. 

After everybody was gone Craig had a very sticky cinnamon bun for his breakfast. I got some too.

Then he made his first coffee. 

And I had my morning nap.

And when I was all awake again it was my first lunchtime. 

Then I went outside for a little bit. But it was a bit cold for an outside nap today.

So I came in a had a relax on my own comfy chair. 

When I looked out my window it was snowing. 

But now all of our cars have their special for snow tires on. 

Some of the dogs who walked by had coats on. 

But I do not need my own toasty warm coat until it is very cold. 

Because I am very furry. 

It used to be Poppy’s but not that I am big I can wear it my self. Zita told me so. 

Craig made a very big peanut butter and honey sandwich for our dinner. 

And I had my dinner right after I helped him. 

Day Four Hundred and Twenty One

Miss Pancake    

Today we started our very busy week. 

So after our breakfast Mister Clifford took Zita downtown and I stayed here to mind Craig and Niamh.

Craig had a sleep in and I minded Niamh while she made very beautiful pictures for her friends wedding. 

Sometimes I was fast asleep. But not all the time.

Before lunchtime Zita came home to help Craig get all awake. And Miss Tarryn came to visit us.

Zita made two toasts and some coffee for Craig. 

He cannot butter his own toasts. 

Because of the too sore shoulder. 

And Zita remembered it was my own lunchtime too.

Then Mister Clifford took her back downtown because of the very important dinner party.

And now the Mister Prime-minister is going to go there and talk to everybody. Oh my goodness. 

So everybody is very busy. 

Then Niamh and Tarryn and I went to our farm. 

And we had a very long run all around. Ha. 

And when we came home we made popcorns.

And then Niamh and Tarryn and I went into the den to watch a scary movie.

And to eat all the popcorns. By ourselves. Ha. 

When Zita got home we had Niamh’s tortellinis soup for our dinner.

And then we watched a new detective program. And everybody is in Dublin.

Maybe we will see Auntie Eileen and her owl car. Maybe. 

Day Four Hundred and Twenty

Miss Pancake  

It was a lovely day to go to the farm. 

So right after our breakfast we went there.

And I went to my giant piles of sticks and found my favourite stick right away. 

So I could run fast all the time. 

It was not so cold today either. 

When we got home Niamh was all dressed and she went to Mister Kettleman’s to have a tasty breakfast with her friend.

Then they went to a movie. 

I was up very late last night so I had an early morning nap when Zita talked to her parents in Dublin. 

It was not so warm in Ireland today. Oh well. 

Craig had a sleep in this morning. 

His nice doctor said he has to rest that shoulder or it will not get all better and might fall off. Oh dear that would not be so good. 

But then after his toasts he got up to help me when I am watching everything from my comfy chair. 

Toasts always make you feel better. It is known. 

Then Niamh and her friend came home from watching a very long movie.

So Zita and I took them downtown in the fast car. 

And then we had lots of time to go to our farm for another run around. Good for us. 

When we got home Zita moved Mister Clifford into our driveway. 

We had an early dinner tonight because we were very busy yesterday.

And we are going to be very very busy in a few days.

Because of the giant Rascal Ladies Dinner Party. 

Even Niamh is going to be there to be a helper. 

I am going to stay here to mind my friend Craig. 

After our dinner we watched the old detective story. 

Then we were tired so we went to our bed. 

Day Four Hundred and Nineteen

Miss Pancake   

I was very busy today. 

So we went to my farm as soon as we finished our breakfast. 

It was not so cold today. So we stayed there for a lovely time.

I found another of the farmer’s giant machines. 

But it was all empty this time. 

When we got home I helped Niamh with her breakfast too.

When I was at the farm I got lots of burrs caught in my fur. 

They were so caught in my own tail that Zita had to use scissors to get them out. 

But it did not hurt. 

Then the fast car took Niamh to her lovely shop. 

Now it has brand new especially for the snow tires, so it was very happy. They are from France. 

Bouvier dogs are from France too. Ha. 

Then it was our make the house spic a span day. Again.

So Zita cleaned my side yard so it was not covered in leaves. She had to use the blow everything machine.

Then when she came back inside she had to have her another coffee, before she got the noisy clean the floors machine.

So I went in the bedroom and kept my friend Craig toasty warm until he got up. 

He and Zita just use the slidy sheets and just like that he is in the fast chair. And his sore arm did not even fall off once. Ha.

Craig told me that he has a frozen shoulder. 

I do not think that is right. 

He was not even outside for a little bit when it was cold. 

I think he heard it wrong. 

Because he is old. 

At lunchtime Zita made an especially delicious cake for tonight’s dinner. 

It is a doughnut cake. Or a bagel cake. 

Because it is all round with a hole in the middle. Ha. That is a good cake. 

Tonight Niamh is teaching a friend how to make her famous as can be tortellinis soup. 

So we could have it for our dinner. 

I was a big help. 

And we had some very delicious smelly from France cheese before dinner. 

With big pieces of pears. Ha. And walnuts too. My goodness me. 

It was very tasty. Some fell on the floor. So it was mine. Ha. 

It was like a dinner party but with just us.

Day Four Hundred and Eighteen

Miss Pancake 

We went to the farm early today. 

And it was a beautiful day for me. 

But the wind was too cold for my friend Zita. 

And she had to get her face all wrapped up in a scarf. 

And nearly all the beautiful trees are empty because that wind blew all their leaves onto the ground.

So we ran around very fast, so she would be toasty warm. Just like me. 

My friend Sach had a sleepover last night, right here. 

So she and Niamh could drink too much wine. Ha.

So this morning she drove Niamh to the beautiful shop. After we had our altogether breakfasts. 

When they were all gone Zita and I were very busy with our rascal ladies work. 

But at lunch time I helped Craig get all awake for his lunch time.

We had very fat ham sandwiches. They were very tasty.

Then he had to drink lots of water for his medicine.

But then he sat on the special slippy sheets and slid right into his own fast chair. Oh my goodness me.

Was I ever excited. 

Now he can help me look out my watching window. 

And then he had his first too much coffee and brand new raspberries too. 

I was very happy. 

But his shoulder is not working so well, so he has to take it easy. My goodness me. 

But he can take it easy with me. Ha. That is good for us. 

And he did not even put his pants on. 

He just wrapped a very blue towel around himself. 

Festis and Furrgus are going to lend him a kilt. That will be silly. 

Then Zita and the fast car went to Mister Mike’s garage to get all the do not get stuck in the snow tires on. 

That was a good idea.

Because sometimes in the morning there is snow call over the ground and even sometimes the road too. 

When Zita got home she needed my help so I stayed with her until all our work was finished. 

Then we went on our before dinnertime walk. And it was nearly dark outside already. My goodness. 

Craig and Zita had chillies for their dinner. Then I had my second dinner. 

Then we watched our detective program, before it was time for our bedtime. 

Day Four Hundred and Seventeen

Miss Pancake   

We were very busy today at our work, so it was a lovely quiet day. 

Zita and I went to our farm right after our breakfast.

It was not sunny at all this morning and it was cold too. 

But fast running kept us toasty warm. 

When we got home Niamh was all ready to go to Miss Helen’s house to unpack the brand new clothes from very far away. 

But then Zita and I were very busy with our rascal ladies work.

And I kept Craig company too. We had toasts. 

Miss Jennifer and the little girls are moving into the house beside us. 

So there were big trucks there today. 

One of the rascal ladies saw me on Zita’s computer. She did not know I was so big. Ha.

Then I had my afternoon nap in our office. 

But lots of times I went into to the bedroom to give Craig kisses. To make sure he was still alive. 

And I had some naps right beside him, so he would be toasty warm. 

When Niamh came home she brought us Mister McDonald’s food for our dinnertime. With lots of chips too. 

Craig gave me some chips.

We had a very quiet day all day today.

Then we watched our detective program. 

Day Four Hundred and Sixteen

Miss Pancake  

Today was our do not go to work Wednesday so we went to our farm instead. 

There was snow on the fields at our farm. 

And foot prints. So I practiced being a detective dog. Ha. 

But I did not find anybody. Maybe next time. 

And then I practiced my fast jumping. 

When we got home Niamh was all dressed but Craig was still fast asleep.

I do not like it when Craig is in the bed all the time. 

Because he is not in the living room helping me with my watching window job. 

And lots of times Zita forgets when it is my second lunch time. 

Yesterday I went in to the bed room and barked at him so he would get up. 

But he did not get up. 

Oh dear. Zita said that it might take more time before his shoulder is not broken anymore. 

I do not think that is such a good idea. 

But his nice doctor found some new medicine for him. 

Maybe that will make him all better. Maybe.

At lunchtime Miss Bruna drove Zita to the special car store to get my friend Clifford and bring him home. 

And now there is another seat just for me. Ha. That is a good. 

Our Auntie Eileen’s new company was on Craig’s computer. And I saw it too.

When we got home with Mister Clifford I had a toast with Zita. 

Craig had a toast too, but it was full of raisins toast. And dogs cannot eat raisins or they will be sick. 

But we can eat cheese every day. Especially the smelly cheese from Mister Nicastro’s store. 

But Niamh always eats it for her lunchtime. Oh well. 

When we had our dinner Niamh made everyone her very own cheese puffed ups. And we had sausages too. 

I got a bit of very tasty cheese from my friend Craig. I kept him company. 

Tonight we watched more of that new detective program. 

Right on the little television in our bedroom. 

Day Four Hundred and Fifteen

Miss Pancake    

It was not such a nice day outside today. It was just all cloudy and cold. 

But the fast car was very warm so we went to the farm so we could have our before work relax. 

And today I found a very very big and noisy tractor. 

I did not go too close to it. 

But where the lots of corn used to be there were long long holes in the ground.

So I explored them. Ha. 

But I did not run fast. 

Because you cannot explore anything fast. It is the rule. 

So I had a very nice visit to the farm this morning. 

When we got home Niamh was all dressed and ready to go to her shop.  

So the fast car took her there. 

I stayed here and minded Zita. 

But I had to be very quiet because she had to talk to lots of people on her computer. 

So I had a nap.

At lunchtime Zita put the almost a chair right on the bed so my friend Craig could sit up.

He had very delicious beefy sandwiches. I got a little bit too.

But then had to go back to work and be Zita’s best helper. 

But after a while I minded Craig in the bed room. 

So he would not be lonely.

I did not go outside so much this afternoon, because it started raining little bit of sharp ice. 

Niamh did not have her dinner here tonight.

Because she went to Miss Ally’s apartment to help her put up her Merry Christmas tree. Oh my goodness. 

And yesterday Zita saw a whole bunch of Merry Christmas trees. 

Zita and Niamh always get the very best, very big Merry Christmas trees. Craig told me. 

Maybe Merry Christmas is early this year. Maybe because of the wrong clocks.

This is my first Merry Christmas with my own family. 

And Emmet will be here too. So everybody will be here with me.

When I was very very little it was Merry Christmas time. 

But I was living in a very big barn with my noisy brothers. And smelly horses. 

So Mister Santa did not know we were there. 

But this year he will know. 

Because Miss Poppy will remind him not to forget her friend Pancake. Ha. 

After work Zita and I went for our before dinner walk. In the very dark, so we were especially brave tonight. 

And when we got home we had our dinner in the bedroom with Craig. 

And we watched a detective program on the television in the bedroom. My goodness me. 

And when we were all tired we did not have to go anywhere.

Because we were already there. Ha. 

Day Four Hundred and Fourteen

Miss Pancake    

After Zita had her good morning coffee she took Mister Clifford to special car store.

To change the seats around. 

And Niamh and I went there too, in the fast car to bring Zita back home.

And when we got home it was just the very right time for me to take Niamh to our farm. 

So we could practice out together fast running. That is always a good idea. 

Niamh and I are very fast runners. 

When we got home I went into our office to be Zita’s best helper. 

Then I minded Craig for a while because he has to stay in bed because of the too sore shoulder.

But he has lots and lots of very interesting books on his telephone. 

He had a very tasty apple for his lunch and I helped him. 

When Niamh got home from her important meetings she said we should go back to the farm for another run around.

That was a very good idea. So we got in the car right away. 

And when we got back home it was time for all of us to go to my school. 

I had a very busy day. 

Zita said I was very polite at my school today. 

And when we got back home from my school it was time for everybody’s dinner. Mine too. 

We had hotdogs, and Craig had his in the big bed. I sat beside him. To keep him company.

Day Four Hundred and Thirteen

Miss Pancake  

We had a little sleep in this morning. Because it was our Sunday for sleeping in. 

The sky did not have even a little bit of sunshine this morning. 

So after Zita’s first coffee we had our breakfast.

Then it was our time to go to the farm. 

So we got in the fast car and went there right away. 

I found a very big stick. 

But it was a farmer’s stick, so I had to find a different one. 

But my farm has lots and lots of sticks. So I found another one right away.

So I could practice my fast running. 

When we got back home Zita remembered that it was a clean the house day. Oh well. 

So we cleaned the house until it was the right time for Zita to talk to her mother and father. 

I minded her.

Then I went in the bedroom and minded Craig too. 

When he was all awake Zita made him a coffee and he had it in bed. My goodness me.

Because his shoulder still does not work. Maybe tomorrow it will work. Maybe.

Then it was noisy machine time. So I just went everywhere else.

You cannot have a nice nap when that noisy machine is on. 

So I tried to stop it. 

But Zita found me. Oh well. Too bad for me.

My friends the badgers were very busy this morning.

They were getting their Merry Christmas presents ready for the mailman to take to their all over everywhere friends. 

They went to the lovely kitchen store to get a present for the cooks at their castle. That was nice.

After my lunch Zita gave Craig lots of little pieces of cheese on top of crunchy crackers. ‘

So I helped him. 

Then I help Zita make the bathroom all clean as could be.

Because it was a little dirty from my feet washing this morning. Oh well. 

Craig said that the very big car has a name, and it is Clifford, The Big Red Car. 

Tonight it is going to a special store to move one of the chairs, so Craig can sit right beside Zita when she is driving.

And then I can sit on the other back seats. 

And I will have two big windows to look out. 

At dinner time Craig and Zita and I watched the very important football game. Right in our bedroom. 

And our team won. 

And everybody said the other team was going to win. 

And they were wrong. Ha.

So when we went to fast asleep everyone was happy. 

Good for us.

Day Four Hundred and Twelve

Miss Pancake    

Now have a new very big car. Ha. 

And Craig and I can fit in at the same time. That is a very good idea.

Now we can go on all together adventures. 

But we cannot do it right now.

Because his shoulder is not working so very well. 

So his very nice doctor gave him so do not be too sore medicine. 

But he has to stay in his bed for a while. 

So the doctor told me I have to be his other best nurse. That is an important job.

Yesterday I minded him on the bed nearly all day. 

This morning Zita and I went to the farm when Craig was fast fast asleep. 

And I found a brand new favourite stick 

I can run faster when I have a stick. It is known.

And I found even more puddles. And some of them were ice puddles. 

So I jumped on them and then they were just puddles again. 

It was a beautiful day and I did not want to go home. 

So I would not get in our fast car. 

But Zita said we had more other things to do. 

And I love doing other things. 

And we went to the go in your car restaurant and we got muffins. Ha. 

And Zita went in a store and I guarded the car all by my self. 

Craig said we cannot have very long stories just now. 

Because we are too busy getting all better. 

Today, after lunchtime Craig sat right up all by himself. 

With lots and lots of very big pillows. Ha.

And he wrote my story.

And I minded him.

We did not have a story yesterday.

Because we were too busy sleeping.

Day Four Hundred and Ten

Miss Pancake     

We did not have time to write such an interesting story today. 

Because I have been very busy taking care of my friend Craig. 

Because he hurt his other shoulder and his nice Doctor told him that he has to rest it. 

So we can not have long stories for awhile. Too bad for us. 

But I get to be his very best foot warmer. 

Day Four Hundred and Eight

Miss Pancake    

I was very tired this morning.

Because I was very very busy yesterday.

And last night my friend Niamh came home from Montreal and I minded her when she and Zita talked for a long time. 

All about Montreal and the fast train. 

Until even past my bedtime.

And before we went to work this morning we went to our farm for a nice all over walk.

And there was still lots of lovely snow there. Ha. 

When we were at home Craig was still nearly asleep in, so I helped him get all awake.  

And Mister Mike called Zita and said that the big red car was not even a bit broken.

So at lunchtime Zita walked there and brought it home. It is very nearly red. 

So maybe we will have the big red car and the go fast car. Ha. 

The big red car is not so fast. Because it is big. 

I went outside and got into it. 

To make sure it was all safe for my family. 

And there is lots of room for me too. That is a good idea.

And it has it’s own do not get stuck in the snow tires. 

Then I went in our office to be Zita’s helper, until our work was all finished for the day.

And then we went for a very nice quiet walk all around my streets. 

And when Niamh got home it was just the right time for our dinner. 

And we had spaghetti. With brand new cheese. 

After dinner I had a nice nap and Craig and Zita watched the detective program. 

Day Four Hundred and Seven

Miss Pancake    

Everybody got up early this morning. Even Craig.

So we got to the farm very early today. 

I did not find any bouncy balls today.

But I found lots of sticks.

Our farm has lots and lots of sticks. 

When we got back from our farm visit even Craig was all awake. My goodness

Everybody had to be up early today because Zita had to take the big car to Mister Mike’s fixing cars shop.

He will look at it to see if it is all right for us. 

But she could not go right away.

Because there was ice all over all the windows. 

And she had to get the special scraper and take the ice off. So see could see. Oh dear.

Then Craig made his coffee and we had the very last tasty oatmeal cookie. Too bad for us.

When Zita got back she did not stay because she had to have a meeting at Craig’s mother’s apartment. 

So I stayed here to mind Craig. 

He had another coffee, but we did not have another cookie. 

Because we ate them all. 

After Zita came home I had my first lunch. 

But when I looked out my window it was snowing all over my street.

My goodness me. 

Then I had my after lunch nap.

Because tonight I go back to my school to learn brand new things.  

And if you are too tired you cannot learn those new things. It is known.

I had a very quiet afternoon.

Auntie Eileen talked to Zita for a long time so I had a lovely long nap, so I would be all ready for school. 

Before we went to school Zita and I went to a little park near my own school. So I could run around a lot.

Because I get very excited when I go to school. 

Sometimes too excited. So we went for a get calm run around. 

When we got home Zita told Craig that I was great student today. 

I ran through tunnels and jumped over fences. And I was a good listener too. Ha. 

But when we got home Zita and I were very tired. 

Going to school makes everyone tired. 

So we watched the Irish detective and went to bed.

Day Four Hundred and Six

Miss Pancake     

It was a very sunny day today. But not so very warm outside.

Zita had her fluffy coffee and when it was all gone we had our breakfasts. 

Then Zita woke up the fast car and we went to our farm.

And it was very very quiet today.

Because all those very noisy smelly geese were all gone away. Ha. Good for us.

So we practised nice walking and I practiced my fast running. 

Then we went to a different part of the farm where there are beautiful buildings. 

And I found another brand new bouncy ball. 

Other dogs loose them and I find them.

Because I have a very good nose for bouncy balls..

When we got home Zita talked to her parents in Ireland. I had a little nap on my chair.

Then Mister Paul came here. 

He was back from far away England and he was very surprised how big I am. Ha. That is true.

Then Zita and Mister Paul went to look at a nearly a car. 

And it is big enough for the fast chair to get inside. With Craig too.

They are going to see if should go to Mister Mike’s fix it shop to see if it is all right inside. My goodness. 

After I had my first lunchtime I went outside into my side yard. For a relax. 

And then I looked out the window and was a strange car in my driveway. And Zita was driving it. 

And she brought it here so Mister Mike can look at it. 

And make sure nothing is just a bit broken. Because it is a bit old. 

Maybe it will be ours. And Zita said that there is room for me too. Even though I am getting very big. Ha.

Zita said that I got bigger last night. That is true.

She put the cushion back on the sofa. 

Because now that I am big, I can just jump right onto the sofa. Ha.

Before dinnertime Zita went outside to put our beautiful swing away so it is ready for the too much snow.

Then it was time for our practice walking. My goodness me. 

And when we got home I had my dinner and Zita made lots of bacon and eggs.

And they were brand new eggs. 

From the chickens at the farm where Zita found that car for wheelchairs. 

The nice lady gave Zita the eggs. Just because.

And then we watched a new detective program. 

And the detective was from Ireland. 

We do not have to go to work tomorrow. 

 Because of the special soldiers day.
