Day Three Hundred and Ninety Eight

Miss Pancake

After breakfast I helped Zita make the house very clean .

Then we went to our farm and I had a very good run all around.

But we did not go all over today because there were too many other dogs that we did not know.

So we only went to beautiful places.

And we could not stay for such a long time because Zita’s old friends Susan and Miss Chris came for tasty treats this morning.

And when we got home it was time for Craig to have his old friends coffee too.

Today was an old friends day.

When Zita’s friends were gone she went into our garden to get it all ready for all the snow. Oh dear.

I could not be her helper and I had to stay and mind my friend Craig.

And have my lunch too.

There were leaves all over everywhere and Zita had to use the blow everything away machine to clean my side yard.

When she was cleaning the front garden I minded her from my watching window.

And when was working in the other garden I watched her from the window in the den. Ha.

That is a good watching window too.

Festis and Furrgus

I do say it is good to be home. Now we do not wish to get anyone’s hopes up.

Our whereabouts and activities are completely sub Rosa.

And enforced by the Office Secrets Act. I am sure you understand.

And cousin Elsabeth has strongly suggested that we keep a seriously curtailed profile for the next while.

Though she has assured us that some satellites have been repositioned to watch over the neighbourhood.

And the family of course.

She has been less than forthcoming about her roles in all of this, and Uncle Dugal has been no better.

But Mrs. T instantly provided us with scones and jam upon our return.

And Miss Pancake was effusive with her welcome.

So suffice it to say we are home. And glad of it, being no worse for wear.

Miss Pancake

Professor Jill came for an outside visit.

But she did not come inside.

And Craig said I was a bit of too much barking dog. Oh well.

When Zita came in she had a long get warm and clean bath.

Craig just watched the football game so I minded him from right outside in the hall.

So I could see everything even when I was asleep.

When Zita was squeaky clean we went on an adventure to our little hardware store.

If you are a very polite dog you get tasty treats. That is a good store.

We had an early dinner so we could watch lots of our detective programs.
