Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Nine

Miss Pancake 

My goodness me. 

Everybody was all awake even when it was all dark outside.

Because it was today that my friend Emmet got their very own floppy hat.

And I saw him right on the big television, and he was still in Ireland. My goodness me. 

And he had his floppy hat on. 

I was very happy about that hat. 

And a man gave him the very important piece of paper. Ha. 

And then everybody went outside and Zita and Eileen met all of the professors, who teach there too. 

They were right out in front of that very old university. Ha. 

And then Zita and Auntie Eileen went to hear Emmet teach all his own students. My goodness me.

She was very very happy.

I know that, because she talked to me on, Craig’s flat computer. Ha.

Then Zita and Auntie Eileen found the same train that brought them to Cork and it took them back to Dublin.

I think it went backwards to get there. Ha. That is a silly train. 

After we watched Emmet on the television we went back to sleep. 

And when it was all sunshiney again we got dressed and had our together breakfast. 

Except for Craig he was still asleep.

Then Niamh went to Tarryn’s lovely shop to help make it beautiful for the Merry Christmas time. 

But she came home right after I had my lunch. 

Miss Dina slept here last night. 

Because last night when they finished cooking their tasty snacks it was very late. 

I just went into our bedroom and got up on the bed to make sure Craig was not even a bit dead. 

Because Zita told me it was my very important job to mind him. 

Then I got too hot and went to sleep in my own little house. 

Tonight is the scary people night. Ha. We have ghosts in our trees.

But dogs are not even a bit scared of silly ghosts. It is known.

In far away Ireland is it Samon time. 

But it is not the tasty fish. 

It is when you can meet the fairies who live in the little hills. 

If you are not so careful. 

Ireland has lots and lots of those hills. That is why there are so many fairies there. 

Maybe Emmet’s old friend Mister Cú Chulainn’s and Miss Emire live in one of them. Maybe.

I hear Emmet talk about them, tight in my living room. My goodness me. 

Yesterday Zita and Emmet went out, with Auntie Eileen, and Miss Doctor Alice and her own parents and her sister, altogether.

And they had a very delicious all together lunchtime. 

And everybody talked about my friend Emmet. Ha. 

And this afternoon we made beautiful pumpkins for our front yard. 

And we put even more ghosts in our trees. Ha.

And then when Miss Dina went home Mister Tyler came here for dinner.

Then all the little children came to our house and Niamh gave them lots of candy. 

They had very beautiful costumes and lots of them said hello to me, because they were very polite.

And because it was a very special day, the very nice busy street restaurant made our very favourite from India food.

And we got squishey bread for me. That is my favourite. Ha. 

Then Niamh and Tyler and Lucy sat at the dining room table and talked. So I minded them.

Craig went into the den to watch a hockey game. I will mind him when we go to fast asleep. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight

Miss Pancake 

What a morning we had, in my own house. 

Niamh said I was a bit way too dirty and I had to have a squeaky clean bath. 

And Cousin Lucy said it was true. Oh dear me. That was not so good.

So I had to get into the bathtub, and Niamh and Lucy covered me in my own squeaky clean shampoo. 

And after a while our bathtub was as dirty as could be. But I was not. Ha.

Then Niamh got the just like rain machine and washed me even cleaner. 

Then she got the hot windy machine and made me as fluffy as could be. Goodness me. 

But they had to catch me. 

Because that machine is a little bit scary. Oh well.

Then we went into the office and I got up on the comfy sofa and Niamh and Lucy gave me a little bit of a trim. 

With the do not stick me scissors. 

When Craig was all awake and dressed, he was dressed wrong. He had his T-shirt on the wrong way again.

I could not help him to day because I was getting all beautiful. Too bad for us. 

But when he had his second too much coffee he had the last muffin and I was his best helper. 

Yesterday Zita went to visit Miss Sally at Cousin Ciara’s new house. 

And she sent me a picture. 

And this morning Zita and Auntie Eileen found that all the way to Cork train. 

It was squeaky clean too. My goodness me. 

And they saw Irish cows. Right beside that train. 

They are not the same colour as my cows. 

Craig said it was because they are the black Irish.  Oh well. 

And when they found Cork there was a very lovely hotel waiting for them.

Because they told those hotel people that they were coming to see Emmet and Alice.

So there was a beautiful room, just for them, right beside the river. 

And it is the same river that Emmet’s very old university is beside. Ha.

They did not have to share the room with anyone else. Ha. 

Sometimes in way far away places you have to share your room, and sometimes you even cannot have your own bathroom.

My friend Zita would not like that. It is known. 

I had a very nice long nap in the afternoon. Beside Niamh in our office. 

Because getting all fluffy and beautiful made me very tired. 

Niamh and Lucy went to the hard questions restaurant again.

But this time they even won sometimes. My goodness me.

Then Niamh and Lucy and Tarryn and Dina came back to my house.

And they had lots of snacks. Maybe because they won those hard questions. Ha. 

I minded them, but Craig went to the comfy bed, because we have to get up early tomorrow. 

So we can watch my friend Emmet and his floppy hat on Craig’s telephone. Right in bed. Ha. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Seven

Miss Pancake

I had a nice quiet day. 

Because everybody was busy.

Niamh was very busy talking to people all over everywhere, even where the very fierce bears live.

And making that very beautiful book her company puts on everybody’s computer.

So that all the far far away people know what everybody everywhere else is doing. 

So I was very busy minding her. 

Even when Craig was all awake. 

He got all dressed by himself and everything was on the right way. Even his shoes. 

Last night after Niamh and Lucy went to all asleep, I got up on the bed to keep Craig company and toasty warm too. 

Because Zita was not here, and she told me to especially mind Craig.

Because now that I am two, I get to do very important jobs. Ha. 

After Craig got up this morning and had his next another coffee, he had a muffin too.

Muffins are my favourite, because muffins make lots and lots of tasty crumbs. 

Crumbs are my favourite too.

Then cousin Lucy was up too. I helped her get all awake. 

Then she sat at the dining room table so she could pretend that she was still awake. Ha. 

I did not have to pretend, because it was my afternoon nap time.

And when I was fast fast awake my friend Sach was here to talk to Niamh and Lucy.

So I went in the office to mind all of them. That is an easy job. 

I stared my sofa with Sach. 

Because I am very polite. 

Then they went away in that noisy Jeep and when they came back Tarryn was with them. 

And special groceries for our dinner.

Because we had a special delicious pasta. 

And it was made from a book pasta. 

So we had a very delicious little pasta party.

Then all the ladies talked and talked and I minded them. 

Craig watched the hockey game, and went to bed while everybody was still talking. 

When everybody went downstairs I went into the big bedroom to mind Craig. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Six

Miss Pancake 

My goodness.

Today was back to work Monday for my friend Niamh. 

So after we had our breakfasts we went into our office to do our important work.

And when I got there the beautiful sunshine had made a very lovely warm spot on the floor for me.

So I had my after breakfast nap right there.

And when I woke up Craig was nearly all awake, so I went into the big bedroom to keep him company.

Because Zita told me that I had to mind him when she was in far away Ireland, visiting her mother and father. 

They have a picture of me in their house.

And the picture is me, when I was at our farm, and I had my fast running stick. Ha.

They have to have my pictures because I cannot visit them.

Because I would have to go on two aeroplanes to get to far away Ireland. 

And maybe I would be lost.

Craig told me that when he was all the time on aeroplanes, they lost his go fast chair lots of times,

I would not like them to loose me. 

So I stay here in my house with my very own comfy chair. 

Thstvis why they have a beautiful picture of me, and not me.

Today Zita had some cake and the extremely delicious only in Ireland fat cream. 

And she sent me a picture of it. Ha.

After I had my lunch Craig made a fat sandwich and he had to cut it in two pieces.

So I got two tasty bits today. Ha.

But then I went back in the office to be Niamh’s best assistant. Ha.

But when our work was over Zita and Lucy and I went to our farm. 

And we had our run around exercises right there. 

When we got home it was my dinnertime. 

But Niamh and Lucy had to go and find red as can be shirts for new costumes. So they did not have dinner with us.

So a man brought us some pretend chips and a nice hamburger and even a box.

And it had big tasty muffins for our breakfast tomorrow.

Niamh said that was very funny and she took pictures of the box. 

Because there were lots of little doughnuts in the box too. 

And when Niamh and Lucy got home the fast car took them to Mister McDonald’s because it was late at night. 

So I went with them to be their very fierce minder dog.

When we got home I helped them with those pretend chips. 

And when Craig went to bed, we watched a movies together in the den. 

Because that is where the big television lives. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Five

Miss Pancake 

My goodness me.

Last night I was just sitting in my watching chair last night when everybody came upstairs. 

And they all had their very special costumes on.

But they were not scary because they were all nice animals. Except for Niamh. 

Because she was a cowgirl.

Because cows are her favourite. And she has special cowgirl shoes, and a hat.

Then they all went to a giant party at Miss Lily’s house. 

And everybody had costumes. Mister Jamie was a turtle. My goodness. 

And when the party was all over, my friends went to visit Mister Kettleman’s delicious bagels shop.

So they could have before bedtime tasty snacks.

And they were still all dressed in their costumes. My goodness me. 

And when they got home it was very very late, but I was very happy to see them. Ha.

Because when they were not here only Craig was here, not Craig and Zita. I did not like that.

Because Zita was on that aeroplane that can find Ireland. So she was not here beside me. Oh dear. 

It was so late we had a sleep over with Niamh and Tyler and Lucy and even Miss Dina. 

Then when everybody was downstairs I went into my little house, in the big bedroom.

But I did not get up onto the comfy bed because Zita was not there. Too bad for me. 

And this morning when I was all awake, so was Niamh, and we looked out the watching window for a while.

Then we both went back to fast asleep. Ha. 

Then when Craig was all awake everyone else got awake too. And everybody had coffees.

And then we took Miss Dina to her house, because it was way too messy, and Tyler to his apartment to make it neat and tidy.

So then Niamh and Lucy and I went to our farm. The fast car took us. 

And we went right away into our corns. Ha. 

And we were there for a very long time, exploring everywhere, but we did not even get lost at all.

Because I could smell my way out of the corns. 

When we were all outside of the corns, I showed them my fast running, so then we practiced our together fast running. Ha. 

And when we got home we had toasty cheese sandwiches. My goodness me. I got a crunchy piece.

Then Niamh and Lucy walked to Mister Tyler’s apartment, to watch scary movies. I do not think that is a good idea.

So I stayed here with Craig and we had a very lovely relax for all the afternoon. 

I was a bit tired because I was showing our cousin Lucy my very best fast running. For a long time. 

We had cheesie toast for our dinner, then Craig made us popcorns. I think it was my our farm’s corns that popped. 

So we watched a football game in the den, but football is not even a bit so interesting.

So I went and had my after dinner nap in my favourite watching chair. 

Niamh and Lucy came home when it was not so late tonight. 

Craig went to bed all by himself. Too bad for him. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Four

Miss Pancake 

Because today is the day my friend Zita has to find that aeroplane that knows where Dublin is, we got up right away.

And I helped Zita put everything ever in a big box. And it had wheels and a handle. That was a funny box.

Even Craig was up very early. 

Because we were very busy. And everybody had breakfast. 

And then our cousin Lucy was awake too.

Mister Clifford took Zita to the buy different money store. So she could buy tasty treats in Ireland.

Then Niamh and the fast car were here. 

So Zita and Niamh and Lucy and that very big box got in the fast car and it took them to the aeroport.

Because that is where all those aeroplanes live,  when they are not very very high in the air.

I stayed here to mind Craig. 

Because just before Zita left to told me to be Craig’s very best minder. 

Because she will be in way far away. So it is my job. 

That is an important job, because sometimes he is not such a very good listener. 

After they took Zita to the aeroport Niamh and Lucy went to do lots of important errands.

Craig and I made a very very fat and delicious peanut butter and honey sandwich. Ha. 

Then I had a very long nap until Niamh and Lucy and Miss Dina came back to our house. 

And Niamh told me it was just the right time for all the ladies to go to my farm. My goodness, I was surprised.

And when we got there we all ran around as fast as we could. Until we were tired and came home for a relax. 

Niamh and Lucy and Miss Dina had a bath, because they were all too smelly from their fast running. Ha. 

Before they went to the farm they got lots of costumes. Because they are going to a get all dressed up party, up on the busy street. 

They are all going to be animals. 

Lucy is going to be a sheep. And Tarryn is going to be a smelly pig. My goodness me.

But they did not go right after dinner, because it is an after my bedtime party. My goodness me.

When it is tomorrow Zita will be in Ireland, and Auntie Eileen will find her at the far away aeroport. 

But I do not like it when Zita is in far away.

Because I cannot mind her when she is not right here with me. 

And Mister Sully is not so very big and fierce, and Miss Sally is a brand new puppy. 

So they cannot be fierce minders like me. Oh dear me. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Three

Miss Pancake 

My goodness me. I had the very best adventure this morning. My goodness.

It was a special just for us holiday, so Zita can get already to go to far away.

So we did not have a sleep in, not even Craig.

And we took the fast car to the hardware store to get some important things.

And then we went to Mister Mike’s and left the fast car there for them to finish making it perfect for all the snow. 

And I went right inside, and I met Miss Martha. 

And she gave me a very tasty treat.  

And then we went down that street to a coffee restaurant, and we had coffee right outside.

And then we went to visit my friend Tarryn at the beautiful shop. 

She was very happy to see me. 

And then we went to a different coffee restaurant and got tasty treats. 

And more coffees too. 

And when we were all full up, Zita and Lucy and I walked home. 

All the way from Mister Mike’s fix your car shop to our house.

I was their very best fierce guarding dog. Ha. 

And we went over a very big bridge and I saw the nearly empty as could be canal. 

But we were very high in the air. I did not like that a lot.

Because it was the very first bridge I just walked over not in our cars. 

And on the way home saw all the very beautiful trees. 

And when we got home it was way past my lunch time.

But I was not so hungry because I had lots of treats on my adventure. 

But after lunch I was a bit tired so I had a nice relax in the living room with Craig.

Craig was not so very busy because he was just trying new coffees. 

That is not a very hard job. 

Niamh and Mister Tyler came to our house for dinner. 

And Zita and Niamh made the special very delicious from far away Greece chicken. 

And Mister Tyler had a relax in the living room. 

I was a big help in the kitchen. Ha.

And we had very very delicious cooked cheese.

And when we were finished everyone was so tired we went to bed. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty Two

 Miss Pancake 

After we watched our detective program Zita and I went to bring cousin Lucy back to my house.

I was the very best fierce minder dog. 

Because it was nighttime outside. And that is when tigers hide in the bushes. It is known. 

And we brought Niamh and Dina home too. 

Then we stayed up talking. So I got to bed very late.

That is why Zita and I had a little sleep in.

When we went to work there was a very warm spot on the floor where my friend the sunshine visits us.

So I had my morning nap right there.

And then I had to mind Niamh and Dina when they were working. 

Craig hid in the den to listen to his music and read another interesting book.

He and I shared the very last apple rollup. 

Because we are friends.

Mister Tom brought us a lot of brand new detective programs for us. 

He is a very nice man. 

Sometimes I remember him and then I do not bark. But not all the time. Oh well. 

After lunch Lucy helped Zita get her things all ready to go to visit Ireland. My goodness. 

Zita is going to be in Ireland and cousin Lucy is going to be here. That is silly. 

I had a very quiet afternoon.

Because everybody was very busy with their work.

So I stayed with my friend Zita and was her very best company. 

Then we went on a very nice before dinner walk. 

But then Zita had to go to the bank so Niamh and Lucy made our dinner. 

That was a tasty cheesie dinner. With puffy cheese. My goodness me. 

When Zita came home she had her dinner and then we drove her to Mister Tyler’s apartment.

And when we got home it was time for the detective program for us. Ha.

And we went to fast asleep early.

Because everybody was a bit too tired. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty One

Miss Pancake 

My goodness me.

We had even another party last night. 

But it was a small party. It was only for us.

And we had Niamh’s especially delicious soup full of very tasty sausages. 

And I got my own baby croissant. Because it was my birthday.

My sister Bella saw my birthday pictures on her computer, and she sent me her picture too. 

And she said happy birthday to me.

That was very nice. We are twins. 

Because we were born on the very same day. 

She lives far far away, where they have the very big mountains, so she cannot come to visit us. 

My brothers live out there too. With their smelly cows. 

Today was our no work on Wednesday, so Zita and I went to our farm.

It was not a full of sunshine day today. And it was not so warm. It was a full of clouds and sometimes rain day.

But we did not get a bit soggy. 

And when we got home it was time for Zita and Lucy to go to the too much stuff store. 

I stayed here to mind Niamh. Today she was working in our lovely office. 

When Craig got up he did not have any tasty treats with his good morning coffees. Oh well. 

When Zita and Lucy came back they had lots and lots of everything, especially croissants. Ha. 

But then Zita and Niamh and Lucy went out.

Niamh went to visit the other lady she works with, so they could work together.

And Zita and Lucy had some very important errands. 

They had to get the all fixed up shoe that I chewed on a bit. Oh dear. Too bad for me.

And they went to get  secret Merry Christmas presents for Ireland. 

When they were gone Craig and I had a croissant and then we had two cookies. 

Because there was nobody here to share them with, so we had to eat them all. Ha. 

When Zita got home she had to make her new take it with you computer all perfect.

Because when she goes to far away Ireland, to see Emmet get his very special paper and his funny hat, she will bring it with her. 

Our cousin Lucy went downstairs and had a nice nap.

I had an outside nap this afternoon. Because it got warm again. 

But there was not even a little bit of our lovely sunshine. Oh well.

Zita and Lucy and I went in the car to bring Niamh home for dinner. 

Because Niamh and Lucy and Miss Dina had to go to the hard questions restaurant.

But they had some of Niamh’s soup first. 

Then all walked to that restaurant. 

And Craig and Zita and I watched our very good detective program.

We always do that when we are not having a party. 

But then we always go to our comfy beds. 

Day Seven Hundred and Eighty

Miss Pancake 

I did not have time to finish my very interesting story yesterday.

Because last night we had a surprise party.

And the surprise party was for me. My goodness me.

Because today is my Happy Birthday Day. My goodness me. 

And my friends were here.

And we cooked pancakes altogether.

With everybody. Except for Craig and far away Emmet. 

And we made lots and lots of those delicious pancakes.

And we had maple syrup, and fat bacons, and sausages and even blueberries too. My goodness me.

And everybody sang the Happy Birthday song for me. My goodness me.

And I got my very own pancakes too. 

Niamh made them only for me. 

I think surprise parties are my favourite.

And when everybody talked and talked and talked I had a very lovely after dinner nap.

Right until it was our very own bedtime. Ha.

And this morning everybody said Happy Birthday Pancake. 

Because now I am two years old. Ha. 

I minded Zita in our office this morning until Niamh and Lucy were awake.

Then I minded them in the living room.

And when they went downstairs Craig was all awake too.

So we looked out the watching window together until it was lunchtime.

Then Zita and I went for a very nice walk in the extra sunshiny day outside.

And when we came back I had my lunch and Zita went to have lunch with her old rascal ladies friend.

Craig and his another next coffee and he found another apple rollup for us. Ha. 

Then I minded Zita in the comfy office. 

And Mister Paul came over for his coffee and croissants. I got a big bit of croissant.

Because it was my birthday. 

The Niamh was teaching Lucy how to make her especially delicious sausages and tortellinis soup.

And Niamh and Lucy and Tyler went for a long long walk in our very little mountains.

So they all could see all those so beautiful as can be trees. Before they are all empty. 

I did not go with them because Craig and I had to mind the giant pot of soup.

So it would not get too hot and be way too toasty. Ha.

That was in important job, because Tyler came to have his dinner with us.

When they got home from the beautiful trees walking. 

Zita and I went for our before dinner walk. 

So we could look at our beautiful trees too.

Day Seven Hundred and Seventy Nine

Miss Pancake

Because we had to go to work today, not anybody had a nice sleep in.

But we had a very wonderful time at the farm.

And it was very beautiful and there was only the farmers and Zita and I there. Ha.

And I ran around in a very big circle all around Zita.  Ha.

And I stuck in head out the car’s window as far as I could. And my ears were not even a bit cold. 

Then we went home.

And after Niamh went downstairs for her lots of meetings day, Zita and Lucy went downtown.

They had to get some stuff from the big all full up room. 

And when they got home it was everybody’s lunch time. 

And I got some special cookies on top of mine.

And when Craig had his extra after lunchtime coffee he had an apple rollup, and I got the crunchy bits.

Then I had to go back to work minding all the ladies. 

Our corner is very beautiful because all our trees are so many different colours. 

Craig and I looked at them for a bit of a very long time this morning. 

When he had his very first too much coffee. 

And it was a brand new different coffee, from far away Italy. 

Then a lady came to our door. 

And she opened my front door. My goodness me. That was not all right.

So I was very fierce and loud barked her all away.

But she was a friend of Zita’s, and she left a very glass of beautiful flowers. Oh dear. 

I will only give her nice barks the next time.

Cousin Lucy sat in the side yard this afternoon, in the lots of sunshine.

I minded her. That was a good job. 

When all the work was done we went to the farm again. 

Because it was still very very beautiful day outside. 

And all the ladies went in the fast car. Zita and Niamh and Lucy and me. 

We all went together. That was a very good surprise. My goodness me. 

Day Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight

Miss Pancake 

Zita and I and Lucy had a sleep in.

Craig had a bigger sleep in.

Today was a spic and span the house day.

But Craig and I got into trouble.

Because of the way too many cookie crumbs in the den. Oh dear. 

But I thought I had found them all.

I was Lucy’s biggest helper when she was moving all the fallen down leaves. Ha.

And cousin Ciara found a name for the brand new puppy.

So now she is Miss Sally. 

So now everybody can call her name. That is good. 

Everybody has to have a name or how can Saint Santa bring you the right secret presents. 

We already have a fat bag of secret presents. Ha. 

After lunchtime Zita and Lucy got the little boats and put them in Mister Clifford.

Because they went boat driving on the not so far away river. 

Susan lent Lucy her little boat. It is just the same as ours. Ha. 

When they were all gone I helped Craig make our peanut butter sandwiches. 

Then it was my time for a very nice napping.

But after a very long while they came home and were not even a bit all soggy.

And Lucy thought her arms were going to fall off. But they did not. That is good. 

But they had to have squeaky clean showers. 

We had an already cooked chicken for our dinner, and I got a very big piece with my second dinner. Ha.

Then it was time to watch the new detective program. 

Zita had her tea but Craig did not have his cookies.

Maybe because of the crumbs. Oh dear me. 

Oh well. 

Then it was time for our own sleepy time.

Day Seven Hundred and Seventy Seven

Miss Pancake

We did not go to the farm this morning.

Because we had a sleep in instead. That was a good idea. 

So Zita and I had our breakfasts and a relax before Craig was all dressed and cousin Lucy was awake. 

Then Zita and l and cousin Lucy went on a long all around here walk.

We showed her all the interesting places, like my favourite walking streets, and Susan’s street and Susan’s own house. 

When we were on our walk Craig talked to his old friends. 

We saw a party in our other park.

But we were not invited. Oh well.

When we got back cousin Ciara called us on cousin Lucy’s phone and we could see her.

Because today she got a brand new puppy. 

And it was so new she did not even have a name. My goodness.

They should talk to my friend Emmet. 

They know all the old Irish names, especially the very fierce names. 

Like Mister Mac Cúmhail, or Miss Tailitú, she was a Queen too. 

And that dog is a Canadian dog. 

All those dogs came from far away Labrador. 

It is very cold there. And those very fierce polar bears live there too. 

But it is not cold in Ireland, just a bit rainy. And windy too. 

But they do not have even any bears. 

Maybe they do not have any blueberries. Bears love blueberries. 

Then the fast car took Zita and our cousin off to do important errands. And to get some tasty food for us.

Maybe they will find delicious for breakfast muffins. Maybe.

And they went to Tarryn’s lovely shop to look for Merry Christmas presents for Ireland. That was a good idea. 

Craig and I went into the den.

Because Craig’s hockey team and his football team were playing on the very same day. 

But not in the same place. 

Because you cannot play the football game on slippy ice. Ha. 

I had a very nice nap right there. In front of the den.

And when everybody else came home it was time to cook our outside hamburgers. I was a big help. 

And when diner was all finished we took Niamh and Lucy to Tyler’s apartment. 

And we went on a very busy street, and I put my head all out the window, so I could watch all the people everywhere.

That was a very good adventure ride. 

So when we got home we were all ready to watch a new detective program.

One of the French detectives very good programs. 

Before our bedtime. 

Day Seven Hundred and Seventy Six

Miss Pancake 

My goodness we had a very lovely time at our farm today.

Zita got me all awake and we had our breakfasts together.

Craig and cousin Lucy were still as fast asleep as could be. 

And Niamh was at Mister Tyler’s apartment.

So Mister Clifford took us to our farm. And it was very very beautiful there today.

It was a bit cold, so all my grass was white and very crunchy. 

And it made noises when I was practicing my fast running. Ha.

And when we looked into the sky we could see the sun and the moon at the very same time. 

And they were both as round as could be. Ha.

Then we went home because we had even more meetings to go to. 

I minded Zita even when Craig and cousin Lucy were awake. 

But then it was lunch time, and after I had my lunch, Zita made bagels covered in cheese, right in the stove. Ha.

And Craig gave me three pieces. They were especially tasty today. 

Then cousin Lucy went downstairs for a nap. and Zita had a very quiet meeting.

So it was just the best time for my after lunchtime nap.

Craig listened to some more of my friend Mister Cú. Chulainn's story. 

Because he fell to fast asleep last night, before Emmet had finished telling us that famous story. 

After our lunch everybody just sat around the dining room table with Niamh’s computer.

That was not interesting so I had a very lovely long nap.

Then Mister Tony brought us two pizzas for our dinner.

But one was a bit too cooked. Oh dear. 

And when everyone was all filled up, Niamh and cousin Lucy and Tarryn went to visit Miss Dina.

They went in Mister Jamie’s giant car. 

Craig and Zita and I went into the den so we could watch our detective program. 

Zita got her comfy pyjamas on, and made some keep her warm tea.

I went to sleep in the hall, in front of the den. 

So I was all ready when it was our bedtime. 

Day Seven Hundred and Seventy Five

Miss Pancake 

It was a just all the time full of sunshine today.

And it was nice and warm when Zita and I went for our all around walk.

Then we got in Mister Clifford and Niamh to the fast car to Mister Mike’s so it would be all ready for the too much snow. Ha.

But when we came home it was time for our very important meetings.

I was so busy I could not even help my friend Craig put on his pants, or keep his cosy and warm. Oh dear.

Tyler got Niamh a giant tub of the most very beautiful flowers. Because of that anniversary. Ha.

I had to remind Craig when it was my lunch time again. 

But I did not starve all away and I got another Scotsman’s biscuit on my lunch. 

And when he had his second another coffee we had a fat peanut butter and honey sandwich. 

And we used the special for sandwiches bread.

But it is only nice for sandwiches and it is not so nice when it is toasty. I do not know why.

Last night we listened to Emmet’s story about my friend Mister Cú Chulainn getting married.

And how he learned how to fight with a magic spear. My goodness me. That was an excellent story for me. 

After lunchtime Craig showed me cousin Lucy’s aeroplane, right on his flat computer. 

And she was in our county. Ha.

But that aeroplane is going to Toronto first. 

Because it is one of those aeroplanes that cannot find my own aeroport.

So she has to find one of the aeroplanes that know where we are, and will just not get all as lost as can be.

And maybe go way up and visit Niamh’s friends Mister Nelson and Miss Harriet. 

And the very nice dog. 

My goodness me. That would be exciting for them. 

When our important meetings were all over Zita and I went to our farm with Mister Clifford.

And I ran as fast as ever could be. Zita said I was a mad as a hatter. 

That is what she says when I show her my very best fast running. 

We always have a good time when we are at our farm. 

And Mister Clifford and I like to see all the machines on the farm.

When we got home Zita took her slow bicycle to Mister Kettleman’s to get band new, still hot bagels.

Because cousin Lucy will be hungry when she gets here.

Because the food on those big aeroplanes is a bit nasty. 

Zita told me that she thinks they try to poison people. Oh my goodness me.

When I was on an aeroplane, I was right behind the driver. 

And a nice lady brought me nice cold water and treats all the time. Ha.

Mister Clifford went to the aeroport, to find cousin Lucy, because the fast car was still at Mister Mike’s. 

Because it not yet ready for the too cold. 

Because it does not have its do not get stuck in the snow tires on. Oh dear. 

I was very excited when cousin Lucy came in our house. 

She was very happy to meet me. 

Day Seven Hundred and Sixty Four

Miss Poppy

Oh dear me.

When Zita opened our curtains this morning our pond was nearly all empty.  

Now cousin Lucy will not be able to meet my friends the ducks. Oh dear. 

Because when our pond is gone they go on their vacations to somewhere warm. Maybe Italy. 

Niamh says it is very nice in Italy for a lovely vacation. 

We went for a very nice visit to our farm.

But then I saw an awful squirrel, and when I tried to catch it I pulled Zita right over. Oh dear.

And then it took a long time to find the keys for the fast car. Oh dear me. 

Because they fell down when Zita down. Oh dear.

And when we got home Zita went to hear another person talk all about how to retire. 

She did not ask Craig, because he did not do it very well.

Because he had to do it two times.

So she did not ask him about it. 

That is why she is listening to other people.

Today Craig and I listened to Emmet talk all about people fighting because of a very fat and delicious pig. 

Pigs were very big in long long time ago Ireland. I do not know why. Emmet did not tell me. Oh well.

I helped Craig get all dressed today. 

And I lay right on him to get him all warm when he was putting on his pants. 

He always wears the very same kind of pants. 

Maybe so he will not be too confused in the mornings.

All of Zita and Niamh clothes are always all different all the time.

I am just all back. Even my nose. Niamh says I am a Basic Black. 

She says that is always good, especially for nice parties. Or if I go to visit the King. Ha. 

Mister Tom brought us some brand new detective programs to watch after our dinnertimes.

When Zita got back we went back to the farm, and I did not pull her onto the ground this time.

That was good.

And when we got home I had a feet bath. So I would be squeaky clean.

Today is an anniversary day for Niamh and Mister Tyler.

And Niamh got him a plant. 

And it was an eat nasty bugs plant. My goodness me.

I did not know about that kind of plant. 

And they are going to make a together dinner at Mister Tyler’s apartment. 

We had tasty toasts with eggs right on top. And beans, but not the nice crunchy green beans. 

They were those soft beans. 

We had lots of time to watch the detectives.

And to go to bed early, because Zita was awake way too early this morning. 

Day Seven Hundred and Sixty Three

Miss Pancake 

Our holiday was all over today, and after our very nice very long visit to our farm, we had to go back to work. Too bad for us.

But our office was toasty warm so I did not mind.

Craig had a sleep in. 

Because he is listening to everything all about the very very long time ago people.

The ones who built pointy buildings as big as little mountains out of giant stones. I did not know why. 

Craig said they did not have any mountains of their own, just lots of lots of sand. Too bad for them.

When it was time for my first lunch I got Scotsman’s biscuits on top of my lunch. 

And Zita went for nice walk up to the busy street. 

When lunchtime was all over Zita and Niamh and I went back to our work.

Zita brought her tea into our office, I just had my after lunch nap, and kept her feet toasty warm. 

When it was time for Craig’s next too much coffee he made his lunchtime sandwich. 

He always makes the same sandwiches, because they are his favourite. 

Peanut butter sandwiches were his father’s favourite too. My goodness. I did not know that. 

Maybe he inherited it. Or maybe they are just very easy to make. 

But they are especially tasty when we have our own buzzy bee’s honey with that peanut butter. 

And sometimes we have raspberries jams that the very nice lady in France sends us.  Ha. 

When Craig was helping me look out the windows we saw that we still have some very beautiful roses flowers. That is good. 

But soon they will be all gone away. 

But when it is all warm again they will come back. 

They go to fast asleep when there is too much snow everywhere. 

Just like all our bears. 

Before our dinner we went for a very nice walk, and we got home before the rain came here.

After dinner Zita went to listen to someone talk all about how to retire.

Because someday Zita is going to be all retired, just like Craig. 

Then we will be able to go to our farm for as long as we want.

Because even when Zita is all retired I will still be her very best helper. 

Because that is my very best job. 

Taking care of my family is my very most favourite job ever. Ha.

Tonight Niamh and Tarryn and made sausages for their dinner. 

I was a big help. They told me so. 

We did not watch any detectives tonight because when Zita got home it was our very nice bedtime.
