Day Five Hundred and Ninety Six

Miss Pancake 

When we got home from the farm this morning Craig was all dressed.

And when I went in the living room I found that he put his shoes on the wrong feet. My goodness.

That is why he should wait for me to be his helper. My goodness. 

I never put my shoes on the wrong feet, because Zita always puts my boots on my. Even when I do not want them on. 

Today is Wednesday so we did not go to work at all. 

When Craig was looking out the window Zita made him his another coffee and two lots of jams toast. 

That was a good idea. 

So I helped Craig look out the window too. 

And now we have even more flowers in our garden and they are very red. 

But on the other side of the garden there are other flowers and they are yellow. I do not know why. Ha. 

After lunchtime all the Badgers called Zita and Niamh. 

Because today is a very special day, if you are Irish or even a Scotsman. 

Furrgus and Festis were at a little café with Furrgus’s friend Princess Lucia. They are still in far away Italy.

And Dugal was in that other lady’s little aeroplane, and it had it’s very own telephone so he called here too. My goodness.

They all called because today Bealtine day. 

That is the day when the beautiful summer time begins. 

Sometimes. 

And lots of people make very big outside fires to scare winter all away. 

Emmet told me to make sure my friends the cows run between those fires. 

So they do not get cooked by mistake. 

That was a good idea. 

Cows were very important in Emmet’s long long long time ago Ireland. 

Because nobody had pockets to put money in, so they had lots of cows instead. 

And then people would steal them. So they had to have heroes to save the cows. Ha. 

Like Emmet’s friend Mister Cernach. 

And some of Craig’s long long time ago relatives used to steal cows in England and hide them in Scotland. My goodness.

All those cows were stolen because nobody had invented us very fierce Bouvier dogs such a long time ago. Too bad for them. 

Because it is summertime now we can put the go fast tires on the fast car. And Mister Clifford too. Ha. 

And to this afternoon Miss Janet came here to move Craig’s not so good shoulder all around. 

And Zita and I watched very carefully. 

So we could help him do those exercises when Miss Janet was not here.

And she put lots of red tape on his shoulder, so it will not just fall off after the exercises. That was a good idea.

When she went to her house Zita and Niamh went to a lady with a special clothes fixing machine.

So she could make Niamh’s very very beautiful for the wedding dress not so very long. 

I stayed here to mind my friend Craig.

Because he was very tired after those exercises, and it is always good to have a friend to mind you if you are very tired. 

And we had a cookie. Because exercising makes you very hungry. 

I had my second lunch at the same time. 

Then I had a good relax, because I was very busy today.

Niamh was busy too.

Getting lots of this ready to sell on our front yard again.

When we had dinner it was a very delicious special salad with big hams and chicken too. 

Miss Tarryn was here too. To help us with our dinner. 

Then Craig and Zita and I watched those detective ghosts.
