Day Nine Hundred and Seventy Six

Miss Pancake.

When we got up we went for a very nice around here walk.

But it was not so warm today.

So Zita had to wear two warm sweaters. But I was not cold.

Craig did not go to breakfast with his old friends this morning.

Because he had a nasty headache, and when he was all awake and looked they were all gone. Too bad for him.

So he had his coffees and muffin with me instead.

Then Zita walked up to the busy street to see the very nice man at the drugs store.

But when she came home she had her brand new very fast bicycle. My goodness.

She told me it was her birthday present. From Craig.

Because very soon it will be her birthday. My goodness me.

I had a very long look at that bicycle.

To make sure it was a good bicycle.

It is very red.

Then she went off to do some important errands.

But I stayed here to mind Craig, and helped him with his lunchtime muffin.

And it was not the same kind of muffin as this morning.

It was a very big lunchtime muffin. My goodness. I did not know that.

Then we had an adventure.

We got into Mister Clifford and we drove a long way to a giant store.

And Zita and I went right inside the store.

Because we had to find stones for our beautiful garden and big bags of stuff for our flowers.

So we walked all over and I was the best waiting dog ever.

And lots of people talked to me and I was very polite. Ha.

So I got lots of treats.

Craig stayed in Mister Clifford, to mind him while I was away.

Craig and I had a together dinner tonight.

Because Zita and Kathy and their friends went out for a nice dinner.

And they went to a tasty food from Italy restaurant. That was a good idea.

They have very delicious cheeses in that country.

Niamh told me. And she was there. Ha.

Zita got Craig a big tasty rolled up from the nice man on the busy street. It was for his dinner.

When he was all finished I got a big piece of cheese.

Because those rolled up are not good for dog’s tummies.

Then he looked cat lots of very old pieces of paper. They were very old.

They not even a bit interesting, except for his letter from Mister Will, when he was in a war. My goodness.

But he did not just die, because he still sends us Merry Christmas cards. That is good.

Then I had my after dinner nap with Craig in our living room.

And when Zita got home it was everybody’s bedtime.

That is a good time for me.

Because I was very tired after being the very best polite dog in that giant store.

And it was for a long time too.
