Day Three Hundred and Thirty Seven

Zita and I got up early today. But we did not go to our farm because she had an appointment with her nice Doctor.

So I helped my friend Niamh because she was up early too. 

We had our breakfast together this morning.

And when Zita got home the fast car took Niamh out to do some shopping.

Because it is going to be Merry Christmas time very soon. 

When Craig got up we did not have toasts because Zita made cookies this morning.

So we had those brand new cookies .

But I got only little very little bits.

Because they had chocolate chips inside.

So I could only have the no chocolate pieces. Oh well. 

It is a very lovely full of sunshine day today.  

That is good. All the time rainy days are not so much fun for me. 

So before lunchtime Zita and I went for a nice run around fast in the backyard beside Bruna’s house. 

Before Zita and Mister Clifford left to do some secret shopping she made cheese sandwiches.

And Craig got one too. Ha. And an all cut up apple.

Cheese sandwiches are very tasty. 

Then I went outside and had a nice nap in the sunshine. 

My friends the badgers sent me a picture. From far away France.

They said that as soon as they got there Auntie Elseabeth and Cousin Morag took them to a La Cap for breakfast 

Even before they went to Auntie’s house.

And they had brand new croissants - and two kinds of jams. My goodness.

And it was an eat outside restaurant. 

Because they do not have snow there. Too bad for them. 

After my second lunch I had my afternoon nap beside my friend Craig. 

So we had a nice quiet afternoon. 

Tomorrow is Emmet and Niamh’s birthday. 

They were born on the very same day. I did not know that. Now I know. That is silly.

I think we are going to have a party. 

Parties are my favourite.

Because all my friends come to our parties. Ha. 

Maybe we will have Mister Nicastro’s smelly cheese, and lots of ice cream too. 

Maybe there might be extra cheese. Maybe. 

Then everybody is going to make our giant Merry Christmas tree beautiful. My goodness.

Zita’s parents already have theirs all finished and ready for presents.

I do not know if Emmet and Alice have a Merry Christmas tree.

Because my friend Emmet is going to be right here in my house for Merry Christmas.

So he can use our tree for his secret presents. 

But Miss Alice has to be at her hospital at Merry Christmas time. 

Because she is the newest open you all up doctor. 

Maybe they have a lovely Merry Christmas tree at her hospital. Maybe. 

Or maybe she is going to use the Merry Christmas tree at her parent’s house. I do not know. Nobody told me. 

This afternoon Craig made a very loud noise when he moved his shoulder all wrong. 

So I ran right from the den and I barked and barked so he would know I was coming to help him. 

And when I found him I stood right up so I could see his own face. Then was all right. He gave me a big hug. 

When Zita got home Mister Clifford was nearly all filled up. With tasty treats for Christmas. Good for us. 

Last night Niamh told me that Mister Tyler was not her special friend, he is her boyfriend instead. My goodness me. 

Craig used to be Zita’s boyfriend, but then they got married. So now he is just Craig. 

I was right. When Mister Clifford brought Zita home he was all full up. 

And there were lots of chips and I could smell lots of different cheeses too. My goodness. 

Now we can have a cheese party.

Niamh and Mister Tyler are going to an ask lots of hard questions restaurant for dinner. 

So Zita and Craig had tortellinis soup. 

And when they were finished Zita and Kathy and Richard went to a play. 

With real people and not on a television. Goodness gracious.

So Craig watched a noisy program about knights with castles on the television.

And I had my before bedtime dinner nap. On my comfy chair.
