Day Seven Hundred and Ninety Eight

Miss Pancake

It was our spick and span the house day.

But we decided to have a very nice together relax before.

So we did.

And when Lucy came upstairs she was not so sad about her favourite team who did not win yesterday.

But when Zita found the noisy floor cleaner machine Lucy went all over the house with it. I could not stop her. Oh well, too bad for her.

Craig did not have not hide from that machine today.

Because he had a nasty headache, and was fast asleep until it was my lunchtime. Then he was all awake.

When he had his next coffee Zita made us a toasty bagel, with lots of tasty butter.

Then Zita and Lucy put the window’s curtains back up.

Because they were so dirty they had to get all washed clean.

We got lots and lots of pictures from Niamh and Tyler.

They had a very nice breakfast with Emmet and Alice. Right in Cork.

And then they had a nice adventure walk all around with a statue.

Yesterday when they were at Emmet’s own university they went inside.

So Niamh and Tyler could see the very very old stones.

The ones with the old kind of writing on them.

But only Emmet can read it. It is the same writing that is on his arms.

I think his friend Mister Cú Chulainn wrote those words.

Emmet teaches all his students about those words and all about Mister Cú Chulainn’s friends too.

I heard him talking about them, right in my living room.

And goodness me, he was still at that university, and not here at all.

Only Craig and I were here.

But we heard him anyway, it was just like the magic in Craig’s books. My goodness.

And yesterday Emmet took Niamh and Tyler all around his beautiful university.

Even over the bridge in the university.

My goodness that university has it own lovely bridge.

And it is old too.

And last night Emmet took them on an adventure in Cork walk.

This morning after they said goodbye to Emmet and Alice, they found that bus that knew where cousin Emma lives.

Lucy saw that sister on her telephone this morning, and Emma’s room was as neat and tidy as could be.

Lucy was surprised.

Niamh and Tyler are going to have their Galway adventure with our cousin Emma, and all her friends too. My goodness me.

In Galway everybody sings out loud all the time.

My goodness. It must be a very loud city.

After our bagels I went for an all around the farm walk with Zita and Lucy. The fast car took us.

Because it was a bit too cold to walk there.

We stayed at our farm for a long time, and then we went to Mister Fletcher’s beautiful gardens.

Our friend Sandra is their very best helper.

And when we were there I met a very nice dog.

And I was very very busy looking at the beautiful flowers and the lots of squirrels too.

So we had a very good time.

Cousin Lucy and Tarryn went out tonight to roll heavy balls at some sticks.

But they are not my fast running sticks, just fat fall over sticks.

After dinnertime Craig and Zita and I watched our new program.

And it was not a detective program, it was a bunch of spys with not very fast horses.

Maybe those horses are a bit too old.

Maybe they should retire. Maybe.
