Miss Pancake
It was way too cold this morning to go to our farm.
And we had lots of work to do.
And there was only Craig and Zita and I here.
And Craig did not have a sleep in at all.
So I minded both of them until Zita had to go to the busy street to have a work meeting with Miss Maggie.
And Niamh was having work meetings downtown.
My goodness everybody was have work meetings.
Except for my friend Craig.
He said he used up all his meetings and that is why he is all retired. My goodness. I did not know that.
And after my lunch he made a very tasty peanut butter and honey sandwich, and it was so good he made another.
I got nice big bites from all of them.
Then Zita got home from that meeting, and I went into our office to mind her. On my sofa.
We have lots and lots of sofas.
In the living room, in the den, in the office, in Niamh’s bedroom and Emmet’s bedroom.
And Emmet’s sofa can go right down and be as flat as can be, just like a bed. Ha.
Yesterday Zita told me that she put two coats on Emmet’s bedroom.
Maybe because it is away too cold in our basement. Oh dear.
This afternoon Craig cleaned Emmet’s friend Eagle, so now it is not even a bit too dusty.
Now I can mind it, because it lives right in the den with the dragon. Ha.
After our work was all finished I took Zita right to the farm, before it got to scary dark.
The snow was very deep so I could not run as fast as could be.
And I lost one of my red boots, but we found it again.
Only Craig had dinner tonight, because Zita went to Kathy’s for a tasty dinner.
And Niamh had dinner with her work friends so she was not here either.
So I minded Craig in the den and we had two cookies.
He watched the hockey game. Now his team does not loose all the time. That is nice.
When Zita got home we were all just ready to get into our very comfy beds.
Last night when everybody was fast asleep, I got right up on the bed and made Craig’s feet toasty warm.
That is my favourite at night job. It is known.
