Day Eight Hundred and Seventy Four

Miss Pancake

It was so cold outside this morning Zita thought her nose was going to just fall right off.

But it did not.

So we stayed in our house where are noses were nice and warm.

Now I can tell everybody another secret. Ha.

My friend Tara is going to have a baby. And Mister Taylor too. Ha.

I knew this a long long time ago.

But it was a secret. And you cannot tell secrets. It is our rule. My goodness me. That is a good rule.

But now it is not a secret. Ha.

And Tara told me that it is a baby boy. My goodness. I hope it is not very smelly like my brothers.

And she sent me a picture.

And now you can see it too.

Because it is not a secret anymore. My goodness me.

Now Aidan and Kiran can be uncles. Ha.

Maybe I can be cousin Pancake. Ha.

Mister Furrgus told me that he is going to ask cousin Morag to look in the family silver for a nice present. But nothing too sharp.

Craig did not get up so early this morning, because he had a sick tummy.

And his nose was running away. Oh dear.

But then he had his coffees right away, and a cinnamon bun too.

So he is not really sick.

Because when you are really sick you can only have little bits of hard toasts.

And maybe some fizzy water. If you are lucky.

A man bought us some very very beautiful flowers.

And they were from Zita’s office.

Because she has been very very busy fixing silly people things. My goodness.

Dugal said they should have sent lots of bottles of as old as him whisky.

The Badgers are very busy, getting their very best clothes all spiffy.

Because tomorrow night is for reading that Mister Burns’s poems out loud, and drinking whiskey from beautiful bottles.

And telling maybe true stories to your friends.

The Badgers always go to the messy place that is only for soldiers from Scotland.

I do not know why that place is always messy. Oh well. Too bad for them.

Then Mister Clifford and I took Zita to our farm.

But I had to have my red boots on.

Because of the too cold.

I do not like getting my boots on. Too bad for me.

But when I got there I ran around as fast as anything. And for a long time.

Until we got a bit too cold. Then we came home.

But then Zita had to go to the bank, for rascal ladies work.

So I stayed here and minded Craig in our warm house.

After Craig had squeaky clean feet, we had chips and fishes for dinner. I got some crunchy chips.

Then we watched the doctor who is a policeman from France.

And Zita had some tea, and Craig had some cookies, but I had my after dinner nap.
