Miss Pancake
After we had our breakfast we looked out the window and had our good morning cappuccinos.
Then Zita talked to her mother and her father in Dublin.
Then it was time to go to the farm.
There was not even one person in the house. Except for Craig.
Because Emmet and Alice’s aeroplane found Ireland all by itself.
And Niamh is with Tarryn at Mister Jamie’s cottage.
All the farmer’s machine were all asleep today.
Maybe because it is their holiday too. That is a good idea.
I think all my friends the cows were fast asleep too.
So when we were too tired to practice our homework anymore we went on a special Zita and Pancake adventure drive. Ha.
Adventure drives are my favourite.
We went all over everywhere and we got lots and lots of delicious peaches.
Because the peaches time is nearly all over. My goodness.
But we can put them in the freezer and have them whenever we want. Ha.
And then the fast car told us that we needed more smelly gasoline.
So we went to the gasoline store too.
My goodness we had a very busy morning.
Festis and Furrgus
We almost overslept this morning as it was so quiet in the house.
With Emmet and Alice and Niamh all missing from the premises, we had to rely on the occasional barks from Miss Dog to alert us to the passing of time.
Fortunately we were only an hour or two late for our morning patrol.
Which fortuitously allowed us to miss the weekend brunch rush at The Central Pub.
We ordered a round of Scotch Eggs followed by two orders of beef nachos.
With the selection settled we settled in for a relaxing lunch.
In spite of the tempting selection we declined dessert.
As the weather remained temperate we decided to walk over to the Arboretum for some much needed exercise.
Fortunately it is in direct proximity to all the Italian restaurants flooding Preston street.
So after the rather arduous hike we were happy to drop in to Uncle Bill’s haunt the infamous Preston Hotel for a few of their fabulous apple pies.
This fortified us for the long trudge up the Bronson hill to our neighbourhood.
So when we got home a long refreshing nap was a necessity let me tell you.
Miss Pancake
After my lunch I had a long nap.
So did all the badgers too. Ha.
Because we all were very busy this morning.
But then Zita and I went to the other Sue’s store to get some brand new treats.
But we could not go in.
Because I forgot how to walk nicely.
And you cannot to into a store if you are not walking nicely. It is the rule.
So we had to come home. With no new tasty treats. Too bad for me.
It is good that we do not have school tomorrow.
Or the teachers might know all about my forgetting. Oh my goodness.
After we got home Zita went out to do some errands.
But I could not go. In case I forgot again. Too bad for me.
So I just stayed her and minded Craig.
I did not forget how to do that.
Craig said he would not tell anybody about my forgetting. That is good.
He said everybody forgets things sometimes.
He said he forgets that he is not so very young anymore. That is silly.
When Zita got home we went on a together before dinner walk.
This time I did not forget my homework.
When we got home Craig and Zita had used hamburgers for their dinner.
Because we made lots and lots of them for our big party dinner.
But now they are all gone.
Then we watch our detective programs.
