After our breakfast Zita and I had a very long walk.
We went right up to our busy street.
It is a very busy street because it is all full of brand new noises and lovely smells and lots of people too.
I even went in to a giant house where cars have a relax when their people are shopping.
And it is just for cars. That was only a bit scary.
And we practiced nice walking all the way home.
And when we got home Zita talked to her far away in Dublin parents.
Zita’s father wanted to know all about Uncle Bill’s new flying motorcycle.
But Zita did not know.
I did not know either. So I will ask my friend Poppy tonight. When I am fast asleep.
And when everyone was talking I had a very nice morning nap on my comfy chair.
Then Niamh brought the fast car back home before she went to her work.
But when she left I went back to sleep.
When I was asleep Craig got all dressed. And I nearly did not have enough time to be his very best helper.
And when he was all dressed Zita went to the grocery store because she needed something important.
Because she was making own made Irish bread. And it was made from oatmeals too.
Like the Badger’s favourite porridges. My goodness.
It is the special for delicious toasts bread. My goodness what a good idea that was. Toasts are my favourite.
And when she came home she had extremely delicious croissants all filled inside with almonds.
So Craig had two when he had to first too much coffee. I got some crunchy end pieces.
Then the fast car took Zita to Mister IKEA’s store.
Because we have a brand new map for our wall.
And it is a beautiful map just of Italy.
And now we have to get something to put in on the wall.
Craig got it so we can see right on the dining room wall where Niamh and Tyler are, when they go to that far away wedding. My goodness.
Then she went to visit Kathy so they could look at lovely dresses for Kathy’s trip to England.
And to say happy birthday to our friend Kirian. Because today is his own birthday.
And they had sticky buns at Mister IKEA’s store today so Zita brought us some. Ha.
Then Craig and I tried Zita’s own made Irish bread and it was very very delicious and the top was lovely and crunchy.
The crunchy is my favourite part.
After my second lunchtime I had a very good nap right beside my friend Craig.
Because I am still his best nurse.
And you have to pay attention when you are in charge. It is the rule in my house.
We had another together croissant.
Because if you are all the time hungry you will not get all better. It is known.
Festis and Furrgus
Well the cèilidh went off with nary a hiccup.
And any comments about the amount of garlic in the haggis were kept muted it appears.
Though the cilantro and cumin in the turnip bisque was thought to be a great improvement by all.
So Dugal promptly raided Mrs T’s kitchen and sent a “borrowed “ Persian cookbook book to cook by courier.
Keeping the pressure up he claims.
But where they will find goat yogurt in Archaracle will pose a bit of a conundrum, if you ask me.
Our being away on His Majesty’s Business, has caused us to miss some decidedly momentous days unfortunately.
We entirely missed the fact that our Miss Niamh had accepted a new situation and that young Emmet is now officially Doctor Emmet Taylor PhD.
My good Lord all those years coming to fruition.
My goodness, turn you back for a second and the world has passed you by.
And I must say it was several days before my brother asked about the giant red apparition in the driveway.
My goodness we could move an entire squad in that Mister Clifford I must say.
Dugal reminded us not to ask about the gas mileage. Sensible advice I suspect.
And according to Rhome Clay, that Mister Tyler has become a, shall we say, a frequent visitor. My goodness.
Well one could not expect such a stunner, as is our Niamh to remain uncourted indefinitely. My goodness not a chance.
Cousin Morag has forwarded an all encompassing list of questions she had demanded that we pose to the young gentleman.
Her first inclination was to fly over to conduct an interview, but fortunately we dissuaded her.
Well it will not be the first time we have decided to ignore our cousin’s best of intentions.
Having several thousand years of undeniably brutal highland politics in your DNA does not always prove entirely helpful in interpersonal relations one must say.
There are many a good reason we all have well situated castles.
Far from meandering Campbells, such as Dugal’s loathsome step father.
Miss Pancake
When my best friend Zita got home we went to patrol our neighbourhood as the Badgers have to “lie low” for another while they told me.
So they are all in Emmet’s bedroom writing reports and testing a new cask of whiskey that some gentlemen left at the front door.
The big crate said it was wind chimes, but it was really whiskey. That was silly.
But the Badgers thought it was funny.
They said maybe White Hall hired someone with an imagination - for a change. Oh well.
Then the fast car took us to get my friend Niamh.
But she did not stay have her dinner with us because she had to have a squeaky clean shower before she went out for dinner with Tyler.
We had bacons and eggs and Zita’s very tasty bread.
Then it was time for us to go into the den to have a nice relax and watch our detective program.
