Oh my goodness me. What a surprise.
Today is my own very delicious day.
Because it is Pancake Tuesday. My goodness me.
And it is Pancake Day all day.
And Zita told me that we are going to have pancakes for our dinner tonight. What a tasty treat for us.
So when we went on our before work walk we were very very happy.
It was not even cold and we saw some of the lovely sunshine too.
And we went down Susan’s street and met a very nice lady.
Everybody was at their important meetings so I had to be quiet. Oh well.
Craig did not get up until nearly lunchtime because he was listening to his book about very very long times ago.
I was not his best helper this morning.
Because I was a bit fast asleep.
Because I went to school last night and that makes me tired.
One of the dogs at my school barks at me. But I do not even notice.
I was not even a bit scared, because I had lots of very big brothers who barked at everything all the time. Ha.
That is why they are horse minders in way far away.
When he was all dressed Zita and I went out for our lunchtime walk. And we went all over my own streets.
And after my feet were all clean, Craig got me my lunch and then he made toasts with Zita’s Irish bread.
So we had our toasts in the living room and I got two pieces. And all the crumbs too.
I get all those crumbs off Craig so nobody will know he is a messy eater. Ha.
That is one of my specialjobs.
When I just got to my house Poppy talked to me when I was all asleep to tell me all my special jobs in this house.
Like listening to all of Emmet’s very important university stories.
Especially the very interesting one about the Punic Elephants. They were Poppy’s very favourite stories.
And helping Zita to clean up the kitchen floor.
And keeping all the crumbs off Craig
And keeping all of Niamh’s lady friends laughing.
And keeping Craig and Zita toes warm when it is cold.
My goodness.
And helping our friends the very fierce badgers when they are on secret dangerous vacations.
That is why I am a very busy dog. All the time.
My friend Niamh could not have pancakes with us tonight. And it is even Niamh’s recipe we used.
Because she went to a real restaurant and have dinner with her new boss.
So she had to wear beautiful clothes with no tears in her pants. Even nice shoes. But not sparkling shoes.
Just nice clean shoes.
We had very tasty bacons with our lots of pancakes.
When we were all finished we had lots of time for our television program.
And even some tea and hot chocolates with cookies before our bedtime. My goodness that was a treat.
And tomorrow is our do not go to work Wednesday.
