Festis
Sunday mornings are very busy there.
You would think all those people would all be off to mass.
And not getting in the way of we pagans, just looking for a filling breakfast.
Niamh was off right after an early breakfast to continue her studies.
So we did not see her this morning.
When we returned Zita was talking to her mother to make sure all was well in Dublin. It was.
When Craig pulled himself from his Sunday sleep in he and Zita had a brace of raisin toast and looked out the window with us.
The roses are now safely protected by their winter igloos.
That was a relief.
But as it was another unseasonably warm day the two of them decided to go on their neighbourhood walk early.
But to introduce some much needed variety they did their regular walk, but reversed it.
Fortunately they did not get lost.
When they got home it was time for Craig’s American football and Zita and Susan went for a bit of shopping at Landsdowne.
We took the opportunity to have an early dinner patrol so as to avoid the forecast rain.
Sundays tend to be quite quiet here. Which is a relief.
We were home before dusk, having taken the opportunity to scoop up the excess croissants from Little Victories before closing.
And at half price too.
When we got home we put a dozen or so in the extra freezer.
So tomorrow’s breakfast is all taken care off.
Niamh came home for a moment but then left to watch Ben’s hockey game with Linsey and Tarryn.
She had to get some warm clothes, because hockey rinks are not heated.
So Craig and Zita had the leftover pizza in the den. So they could watch their new program.
But they had some sad news as Mr. Richard’s father died late this afternoon.
Miss Tara was with her dad when her grandfather died. Perhaps that was a help.
We all hoped so.
