Furrgus
As when we went outside this morning for the first patrol all was snow.
But thanks to our boots we were able to fulfill our duties with aplomb.
And left our spectacular footprints in the snow at the same time.
Zita was well awake by the time we returned home, but lamenting the state of her bicycle.
And the last of our beautiful roses.
Soon Niamh appeared ready for her early class.
Fortunately the Buick had received its snow tires weeks ago, so she was able to drive to the university.
And when she returned Zita was then able to drive her to The Three Trees before Zita herself went shopping.
We were in the midst of our morning recovery nap when Craig made his appearance.
So we were only able to wave a cursory good morning to him before falling back to sleep.
He said fortunately the weather forecast had prepared him for the sight out the living room windows.
But it was still a bit of a shock to his system. As it was to all of ours too let me tell you.
Another package was delivered here and promptly hidden away.
It appears that some serious Christmas presents planning has taken place thank goodness.
When Zita came home she had, many bags, some apparently secret, and most importantly, almond croissants.
So Craig warmed up a couple and he and Zita looked out the window at the first real day of winter.
Then Zita had to venture outside to take off the screen from Niamh’s bedroom window.
And replace it with its winter version.
We were fortunate tonight, because Niamh was out for dinner and therefore there was plenty of extra shepherds pie to go around.
When Craig and Zita watched the detective program from New Zealand we resumed our Mahjong journey.
