Day Fourteen

Furrgus

It was another lovely day this morning.

And Zita was awake soon after us.

We did not go on our morning ramble so we could help her move some things back to where they belonged.

Including our Uncle’s podium.

That was a relief to us all let me tell you.

Zita took the opportunity to call her parents who just got back from visiting her brother in Spain.

They discovered the joys of three hour lunches. Ahh the memories that race through my mind.

Her brother Ciaran even has a swimming pool right in his patio. And a very big dog too.

That sounds like a very nice place to visit.

A while later Craig was also awake.

Just in time for Zita to leave for an almost funeral for a very nice lady of she did not know so well.

But there was a long table completely covered with cheeses. And Champagne too.

And the lady’s son gave a very nice speech. So that was nice to hear.

When Craig made himself his coffee he had a hot cross bun.

Well that had us scrambling for our calendars let me tell you.

But it was still fall and not spring, so lord knows what is going on at that bakery.

Niamh did not make an appearance until past lunchtime. We did not ask.

We are all old enough to know better.

When Zita came home the football games were not very interesting so they went on a walk to the drugstore.

So Craig could get his next vaccination also.

Fortunately badgers do not need vaccinations.

Unfortunately that meant that Horse Guards sent us to all the malaria infested parts of the world.

Serves us right I suppose.

On the way home they saw a house with a fearsome skeleton dragon on a front yard.

It was just a giant balloon thank goodness.

It is obvious that hallowe’en can not be far away.

Craig and Zita had a tortellini dinner, but Niamh took her dinner downstairs because she had not quite recovered from last night.

We were instantly sympathetic.

Having suffered similar situations more times than any of us would care to admit.

Craig and Zita had an early night.

Those vaccinations put you under the weather so an early comfortable bed is just the answer.big you asked me.
