Day Sixteen

Furrgus

It was a beautiful sunny morning when we woke up.

So we had our breakfast with Mrs. T before she drove to her downtown office.

Miss Niamh was up after the Buick had left so she walked to her work.

She told us not to wait for her tonight for dinner as this is her exercise night.

We Badgers admire the concept but it does seem like an awful lot of effort.

A brisk four or five mile walk back to the castle from the Rolling Pig was enough for me.

Miss Pam arrived and continued painting the halls far away from all of us.

But Mr. T still feeling poorly and did not appear until lunchtime.

I for one am glad we Badgers don’t have to rely on prophylactics to keep us healthy. well aside from a nice single malt or two.

Speaking of which, Uncle went out after lunch to drop by the LCBO to see if his order was in yet.

All the shenanigans in Ukrain have disrupted the shipping times no end.

And he is now worried he might have to borrow some from Mrs. T.

By the time he went out it had turned into another cloudy day so we did not accompany him. It was too cosy here.

We offered Mister T some of our porridge delight for lunch but he said that his stomach was not up to it.

We put some in the refrigerator in case he changed his mind.

When Dugal got back he mentioned that there was a parcel on the front stoop.

With our Miss Poppy gone sometimes those delivery people go quite unnoticed by Mister T.

Maybe we should set up some video surveillance. Got to keep up with the times.

Mister T did not even have his toast and jam until tea time.

So we were all very glad when Mrs. T got home.

And he is only having chicken soup for dinner.

One only has chicken soup when you are quite ill.

Cousin Arregaithel only had a small cup when he lost his leg in Malta. Potent stuff chicken soup.

Mrs. T picked Miss Niamh up after dinner at her exercise class.

I hope they open the windows on the ride home.

Our Emmet Taylor was teaching again today. A busy chap is our Emmet.

And Emmet made special packages for his friends in Ottawa.

They are going to play another Dungeons and Dragons game.

And these packages are the individual instructions.

And they came and picked them up tonight. Now that will be an exciting game I suspect.

Craig went to bed early, being under the weather going to bed early is entirely the very best thing to do.

Now Cousin Morag swears by heaps of hot water bottles piled around the patient.

And a nice cup of tea made with water from Saint Fionnaghal’s well

But then the rain does not blow by the windows here as it does back home.

And you do not have to get up in the middle of the night and put coal on the fire to keep the frost at bay.

So we think chicken soup will suffice.

Tonight there is another disappointment on the way as Mister T’s hockey team is playing again. Sic Semper.

We have substituted Ritz crackers for Cheerios.

So the game continues.
