Day Thirteen

Furrgus

It was very nice when we awoke.

So we dragged Uncle Dugal out to accompany us on our morning meander.

We went over the bridge so we could be at the only porridge restaurant when it opened.

Dugal was absolutely astonished. As were Festis and I to tell the truth.

Our neighbourhood is becoming very cosmopolitan.

Perhaps blood sausage and haggis will soon make an appearance.

When we got home Zita had already gone to her hairdressers and Niamh was doing her best imitation of being awake.

Soon Craig was making his coffee for his Saturday morning breakfast.

Before he even started Niamh was off to her job at the The Three Trees.

Miss Pam came here before lunchtime to continue with the painting.

Uncle Dugal’s corner is almost finished. Thank goodness.

But after our big breakfast we were fast asleep so were were unperturbed.

When Zita got home there was some discussion about what colour of white was best for the doors.

It was a discussion far away from any of our experience.

So we did not offer any opinions and prove our ignorance.

A tactic many people should follow in my opinion.

Then Zita went to the drugstore to get her next vaccination before she left for Ireland.

Though how she is going to get all the parts for Emmet’s do it yourself computer there is beyond me.

When Zita got home she went straight to the garden to get in some clean up time before it rained.

With our loud deterrent now missing the squirrels are running amok in the garden.

But she refused Dugal’s request to borrow the .303. Just as well I suspect.

Miss Pam painted until nearly dinnertime.

But there is still work to do on all the halls. Including Uncle’s corner unfortunately.

But Zita had a surprise for dinner.

When she was at the drugstore she went next door to the all ways reliable Nicastro’s.

So now they are having a lasagna for two.

Because Niamh and her friends are having dinner at another friend’s house.

So there was an early start for the detectives tonight.

So we had plenty of room time to replenish our Cheerios.

The evening’s winner gets to eat his winnings you see.
