Furrgus
Last night after our evening rambling we stopped in at Cacao for a quick chocolate fondue pick me up.
I must say the folks at Lansdowne have gone all out with their Christmas decorations.
Which is lovely to see.
Zita and Niamh were up quite early again this morning.
We said a quick “good morning “ as we left for the morning patrol.
They were gone by the time we got home.
Emmet was well awake as the tea kettle was still hot.
Even Craig was cup earlier than usual and was well into a chocolate chip muffin
It must be the excitement of Christmas.
Then he resumed his present wrapping duties and Emmet had a tea sustained meeting on his computer.
We, on the other hand retired for our mid morning nap.
When we awoke Emmet had gone out again to finish his Christmas shopping.
This afternoon Niamh drove Emmet to his D&D friends house.
When we went on our afternoon patrol we discovered that Little Victories will be closed for four days over Christmas.
A situation that had completely flown from our minds.
We then realized all our favourite destinations will be on a holiday schedule.
So we had to scurry hither and yon so we would not be caught short.
We knew that Zita had stocked all three refrigerators but one cannot just rely on others generosity you know.
Fortunately not only was the just about enough room in the various refrigerators.
And at the rate that the food is being consumed around here we have no worries.
When Zita came home it was just time for us three to depart on our night out.
The vacuuming started as the door closed. The Christmas spic and span has begun and we made ourselves scarce.
Fortunately Irene’s was having a two for one hamburger sale, but only if you promised not to sign along with the band.
Since we all were brought up in Kirk choirs we knew better than to tempt fate and gladly reminded silent.
After watching their mystery program Zita and the Buick went to retrieve Emmet from his friends house.
Zita drove rather than Niamh as the weather had turned nasty and Niamh does not have as much experience in those driving conditions.
We ventured out, knowing that every sensible skunk, raccoon and wandering beast was well tucked in.
But standards must be maintained even in the face of inclement weather.
And we had our brandy coffee flasks filled to the brim.
