Day Seventy

Furrgus

Well it was inevitable.

We awoke to a small snow squall,  which by the time we were completely awake had progressed into a snow storm.

So getting properly dressed took Festis and I quite a while, having left the down filled kilts drying downstairs.

One good thing about a snow covered yard you can instantly see the presence of any unwanted visitors.

Our Niamh is working a the Three Trees today.

As the Christmas season is here they do not close on Sunday until after Christmas.

But she had the Buick.

So Miss Susan drove Mrs. T over to get her car and then went to finish her weekend errands.

After we went on a quick sweep of the neighbourhood we roused Uncle Dugal.

So after he got fully dressed the three of us went up to Landsdowne for our Sunday brunch at the Sunshine Grill.

Fortunately when we arrived the powers that be were already cleaning the snow from the sidewalks.

By the time we were returning home there was enough snow for sliding down the pond hill.

So we immediately took advantage of the situation, before the multitude figured this out.

Unfortunately this meant that our behinds were quickly uncomfortably cold.

So on returning home we searched for our hot water bottles and settled in for the rest of  a quiet afternoon.

The only interruption was when our friend Mister Tom brought us lots of new television programs.

In a Christmas stocking. My goodness.

Mister Craig just retired to the den to watch the American football games.

Apparently they are easy to watch because he does not really care who wins.

All he has to do is make coffee at half time.

But when Mrs. T got home there was so much snow she had to shovel it.

Now that was an unpleasant surprise.

We avoided that as we had to go on patrol.

There was a whole chicken in the oven when we got home.

That was a promising start to the evening.
