Day One Hundred and Ninety Eight

It was not a rainy morning today. That was good.

There was a noise outside today.

But now I am getting so big I can look out the windows in the den. All by myself. Ha.

After our breakfast Professor Jill came for a visit. She did not bring her very little dogs.

And when she was gone I got Craig awake.

And when he was making his coffee Niamh came upstairs and she was awake too.

And last night she finished her last essay for her university. So she was very happy. Me too.

Then after Zita and I drove Niamh to her work we went to the farm so I could have my exercise. That was a good idea.

Because I just found out that tonight is another school night for me.

Because I have two different classes. Just like at Emmet and Niamh’s universities. Ha.

Zita was very busy this afternoon.

Because she cleaned our office.

Because it was all full of other stuff. So there was not any room for us.

After my lunch I had my afternoon nap.

Because you cannot be tired when you go to your school. It is the rule.

When Zita came home from her important errands it was just the right time for us to go and get Niamh.

Because she is coming to brand new class with us. That was a good idea.

And we left early and drove fast so we would not be late today.

Festis and Furrgus

Well the best that could be said of the morning was that it was not raining.

We rather needed our cashmere sweaters over our tweed vests let me tell you.

The area was devoid of threats, as we expected, so we were at odds and ends about breakfast.

Not wanting to fall face first into a breakfast rut we decided to cross the canal bridge.

Because that was the quickest way to reach the Life of Pie, before they were cleared out.

Upon entering the store we were nearly brought to our knees by the smells.

The smells, the smells,  I would swear there were calories in every whiff.

Today’s specials included Banana Chocolate Pecan Scones. We ordered two dozen.

To be on the safe side. You never know. Best be prepared.

And their Peach Raspberry Pie had just left the ovens.

We ordered one, but upon learning that they freeze superbly, we ordered two more.

For breakfast we had the Brie and Mushroom Quiches.

As we sipped our espressos, we wondered why we let the hike over the bridge dissuaded us from more frequently attending their breakfasts.

Fortunately we both had our service knapsacks with us, so the staff helped us wrapping and storing the pies.

One would not wish to damage such works of art. We at least until midnight has passed.

Nothing can touch a stunner of a pie and a nice Armagnac when you come out on the wrong side of the cards.

Miss Pancake

When Zita was cleaning our office she found some toys for me. My goodness. That was a surprise.

My brand new class was outside. And it was not so very warm today.

But Zita had extra coats in the car, so she and Niamh did not freeze away. That was good.

I was fabulous. Niamh told me so. And so did Zita.

But it is very hard when your class is outside.

Because of all the blowing all over leaves.

It is very hard to pay attention when there are everywhere blowing leaves. It is known. Oh well.

When we got home Craig had my dinner all ready for me.

And Zita made a tasty dinner for Craig and Niamh. And herself too.

Then Niamh was still cold so she went and had a warm as could be shower.

So then she was warm and not a bit smelly.

And Craig and Zita and I watched our detective program.

I had another busy day today.
