Day One Hundred and Ninety

Miss Pancake

It was back to work for everybody today. Except for Craig because he is still only retired. Too bad for him.

After Zita and Niamh and I had our breakfast we took Niamh to the trees store.

And when we got home it was time for us to go to work. In our own office.

But then I had to get Craig up. Because I needed him to help looking out the watching window.

So I got right up on the big bed and helped him get all dressed. That is a good job for me.

Then when he had his espressos coffee we had Scotsman’s oat cake.

Oat cakes are not even a bit tasty.

That is why you have to put lots of butter and tasty jam on top. Until you cannot even see the oat cake at all.

When Zita and I went for our walk yesterday we found flowers in our own garden.

And they were beautiful little flowers.

After I helped Craig with his breakfast it was time for a nice nap.

I did not mind Zita when Craig was up because she had a very important meeting on her computer.

I have to very quiet when she has those meetings.

So I had my nap on my comfy watching chair.

And when I woke up it was my own lunch time. That was good.

Festis and Furrgus

Well we seemed to have recovered and after morning patrol, admittedly a rather late morning patrol we walked up to Bank Street.

Fortunately we dropped in to Ichiban just in time for the second round of croissants to be ready.

So after a few we stocked up with a smallish bag of cinnamon swirls and blueberry scones.

To tide us over any unforeseen eventualities.

On our way home there was a notice at Irene’s.

We thought that the list looked quite promising and made a note to share this with our Uncle.

When we got home he was deep in discussion with the family lawyers about his father’s will.

And the legal ramifications of challenging his stepfather to a duel.

We decided not to hear this.

Miss Pancake

After I had my lunch I asked Zita if we could go on a very nice little just around here walk.

And she said yes. Good for us.

And we saw even more of just starting beautiful flowers.

Then when we got home it was time to go back to work. Oh well. Too bad for us.

Festis and Furrgus

When Dugal had regained some of his composure he reminded us that today is the anniversary of the liberation of the Stone of Scone.

Now Uncle has always been a bit obscure about this adventure.

Especially his role. Loose lips etcetera.

But he has alway assured us that the one in Edinburgh is but a clever copy.

And family lore has it that the caves under Morag’s ancestral pile at Dunbeath are vast and only accessible during low tide.

‘Nough said I suppose.

Miss Pancake

When I got back, after our walk it was just the right time for my afternoon nap.

We got a picture from our Emmet. He is cooking dinner at Miss Doctor Alice’s house.

And they have a helper cook too. My goodness. They are lucky.

Tonight Zita and I went to my school. I practiced a lot. At our farm.

So I was not worried. Good for us.

And when we got home Craig asked Zita how was school and she told him I was a star. That was right.

I am very good at school.

When we watched the detective program I got ice cream.

Because I was a star at my school. Good for me.

And then everybody was tired and we went to bed.
