We did not go for a good morning walk because it was all windy snowy again.
So Zita and Niamh and I had our breakfasts and then we went to work. .
Because it was that go to work Monday again.
I tried to get Craig all awake but he was listening to a book and just stayed in the comfy bed. Oh well.
And Niamh went off to do lots of studying.
When Craig got up I did not mind him because I was very busy minding Zita in our office.
So he had his coffee by himself. Oh well.
Then I went in and had a little beside him nap. So he would not be lonely.
Then Zita told me that it was time for our lunchtime walk. Ha. That was a good idea.
My friend Emmet sent me another picture.
And it was of Doctor Alice’s own cat.
My goodness. I did not know they had a cat.
Maybe it goes to the hospital with her. Maybe it is a hospital cat. Maybe. My goodness gracious me.
There were very fierce cats where I was born.
They were mind the barns cats.
They did not play with us. Oh well. Too bad for them.
Maybe theirs is not so very fierce.
Furrgus and Festis
And yet again the weather forecast let us down.
There was a virtual blizzard beyond the curtains this morning.
We, with no hesitation went back to sleep.
We entirely missed Our Niamh leaving and had to settle with just ourselves for morning tea.
As the snow had abated we marched up to the always reliable Wild Oat for our breakfast omelettes.
Though it was still cold enough to require gloves and scarves let me tell you.
Miss Bruna and Mister Linden have escaped to Santiago de Compostela.
So they can meander along the Camino trail. That’s audacious.
Santiago is a beautiful place.
The trail - well it had fewer good restaurants than we felt appropriate for the distance involved. Let that be a warning.
Second Cousin Murdoch spent months there hiding in some convent up near Roncesvelles pass. That blowing the horn fellow you know.
Murdoch was smuggling arms into France for the SOE, during the general unpleasantness.
Brave man Murdoch, or Murdoch, Bishop of Argyll and the Isles as he is now called.
We must check on Lee and Cara to make sure they do not strangle each other.
We know only too well the strange dynamics of twins let me tell you.
Perhaps a shipment of cheese buns would be beneficial.
We will ask Our Niamh before doing anything precipitous.
It will be safer that way.
In her typical thoughtful fashion Mrs. T left enough peach cobbler for our lunch.
This one was the best one yet. My goodness. She should patent this one.
Miss Pancake
We had a very nice walk and I only had to have a very quick muddy feet bath today.
Then after my lunch I had a very nice nap on my very favourite watching chair.
But Craig said that I might get too big to get in it when I am older. Oh my goodness.
We will need to get a bigger chair. I will tell my friend Zita. Ha.
When Craig went the den I went in there too.
Because that is where the comfy sofa lives. Ha.
And when Zita was all finished her work we went on a walk. Right away.
And when we walked past my house I saw Craig in the window. My goodness.
I did not know you could see in too. Oh my.
Tonight is Zita exercising class.
So we had to have a right away dinner. Ha.
So she would not be late.
And tomorrow it is my go to school day. Ha.
Last night Craig had ice cream on top of his peaches special dessert.
So I licked the spoon as clean as could be.
I saw a kangaroo on the television last night.
But now that program is over. And now Craig has to find a new one.
That is his all the time job.
Festis and Furrgus
We we barely escaped disaster. It was not until near dinner that I checked my calendar.
Making sure Mrs. T would not be late for her class.
And my Aide Memoire told me that it was National Chocolate Mousse day. Dear Lord. We almost missed it.
So Dugal called for a taxi and the three of us bundled ourselves in for the trip to Absinthe.
To experience once again their life altering caramel and chantilly chocolate mousse.
And while we were there it seemed rather churlish to ignore the entré selection.
And to honour the soon to be Doctor Emmet we ordered steak and frites.
We had to justify taking a taxi after all.
When we got home everyone was fast asleep. We soon followed.
