Day One Hundred and Ninety One

Miss Pancake

We were up early this morning.

So we could drive Niamh her nice university.

Today is the last day for classes for Niamh. Oh my goodness.

But she had to go very early because she still has stories to write.

When we went to get into the car we saw that lots and lots and lots of the snow was gone.

That was good. Now we can see our own garden.

After we got home Professor Jill visited us. With her other dog Willy.

He is a very little dog and just barked a lot at me. So I ignored him. Ha.

When they were all gone Craig was up even before I could get him all fast awake. Oh well.

My school gave Zita a recipe for very special and delicious treats. And today she made them.

So the house smelled full of treats. That was good.

When Craig had his coffees Zita made some toast and we sat in the living room.

The snow is nearly gone and there are lovely flowers instead.

And we could see them from my window.

Some them were snow drops.

They are Zita’s favourite little flowers.

So she went outside to take some pictures of them.

And she put our Merry Christmas tree out for our garbage men.

And when she did that she found even more flowers.

And they were different flowers too. My goodness.

Then at my lunchtime Zita went downtown to get Craig a brand new telephone.

Because his telephone is so old that it only works for a very little while.

And then it does not work. That is not such a good telephone.

Furrgus and Festis

We had a rather busy though uninspiring day.

After morning patrol and breakfast at the Wild Oat all three of us had to go downtown to Dugal’s lawyers office.

Well not our real lawyer, who are in Edinburgh, these are just lawyers of record.

Nice enough people, and they do have a quite decent selection of biscuits with the coffees.

But we had to witness a endless number of forms and depositions.

I am beginning to think Dugal is on to something and a duel is actually preferable. Or a fortuitous fall.

We have noticed that it is the time when the weather here is starkly more inviting than over there.

Today it is 7 degrees and raining at Tioram, while it is closing on 18 here, under a near cloudless sky.

So it was perfect strolling weather, so after several hours and writers cramp we walked down Bank Street.

When we reached The Works we decided to stop there lest we fainted from hunger.

Fortunately their menu still offers the giant hamburgers and deep fried onion rings.

That was just what was needed and with some strawberry milkshakes to finish off the adventure we were replete.

So we returned home for a bit of a digestive rest.

Miss Pancake

I had a lovely after lunch nap.

And when Mister Paul came over for his coffee I got a bit of croissant.

Then Zita came home too.

But she could not find a good telephone for Craig. Oh dear. Too bad for him.

But then my Doctor Smith called us.

Because my nasty bugs bite medicine was all ready. So Zita and I went right away.

Now that all the snow is going the nasty bugs hide in the grass.

So they can bite nice dogs like me. And then I would get very sick. My goodness.

On the way home we went right by the giant farm. So we stopped so we could run all over.

Then we went home for our dinner.

But after dinner Craig went outside. And then I could not see him. Oh my goodness me.

Craig is always here. So I can practice my minding. Oh dear.

But he came back so I did have to go look for him.

Then it was time for our detective program.
