Miss Pancake
But we did not have to go to work because it is still a holiday. My goodness.
After our breakfast Zita and I drove Niamh to her university to do more writing.
And when we got home it was the time to talk to Emmet in Ireland, on Zita’s computer.
I minded them from underneath our dining room table.
Zita has to send Emmet some delicious recipes.
Especially the ones for brownies and the very tasty shepherds pies.
Because Emmet is going to live at Doctor Alice’s house for a while.
And he is going to cook all their dinners, so when she gets home from the hospital there will be a tasty dinner.
But he has to mind the cats too.
After a while I went to fast fast asleep but when Emmet went to make his own dinner Craig and Zita I had very crunchy toast.
It was very sunny today. And it was nearly warm. So all the lots of snow is melting away.
After I had my lunch I kept Craig company in the den.
I got a new toy. It is a fierce dinosaur. And it has three horns. Cows only have two horns. Too bad for them.
And those dinosaurs are Craig’s favourite dinosaurs. Ha.
He told me if he was a dinosaur he would be just like mine. Ha.
Then Craig and I went in the living room so I could help him look out the window.
Then Zita said she was going for a lovely long walk.
And she was going to my own farm and she asked me to come wth her. Ha. That was a good idea.
So we got in the car and went there right away.
And we ran all over and I practiced my good listening homework for my school.
Good for us.
And I chased all the leafs away. I am a very fast leaf catcher.
After we came home and after my little bath Zita talked to her mother. Right in Ireland. In that hospital.
I was too busy busy minding Craig.
And I was a little bit tired from my homework.

Having nearly recovered from our Arbroath celebration, we decided to get back in the swing of things.
So we conducted both our morning and noon patrols without incident.
There were some dining establishments open today. But not all due to it being Good Monday.
Fortunately enough were open that we did not have to compromise on either distance or taste.

The Wild Oat provided us with omelettes and toast. Dugal ordered chicken soup, as he is still recovering.
The snow is disappearing at speed let me tell you.
The pond is almost devoid of snow.
I think spring has finally made its welcome appearance.
When we got home Mrs . T was cleaning up the damage from the ice storm.
We offered to help, but she said that we were still looking a bit peaked.
Which was fair comment I suppose.
So we resumed our posts and went to sleep.

When Zita got home she went outside to take away the pieces of our trees that fell off.
When we had all the ice everywhere.
And she took her very sharp from Japan saw. To get the nearly broken bits off the poor trees.
And she lots of bits in a garbage bag.
I stayed inside with Craig. Because of the very sharp saw.
Niamh was still at the university, so Craig and Zita had the delicious Tortellinis soup for their dinner.
Then we watched a new detective program.
Because the other one was too sad.
