Day One Hundred and Ninety Two

Miss Pancake

Everybody got up very early this morning. Even my friend Craig.

Because it was a busy day.

Zita and I drove Niamh to her university so she could write even more stories.

And when we got home Zita and I did our practice walking right in front of our house.

And when we got inside Craig was all dressed and it was still very early.

Then Zita found her bicycle in the basement and she rode it to her other office.

Because it was not a bit too cold. It was a very lovely day today. It was nearly hot.

So we did not have to close the back door all the time.

I did not know that Zita had a bicycle.

And Craig told me that Niamh has a very fast bicycle. My goodness me.

When Zita was gone it was a Craig and Pancake day.

So when he made his first too many coffees we had a toasty warm croissant too.

And I got a big piece of Oat Cake. Ha.

Then I chased my cow all over the house.

But then it was just the right time for my good morning nap.

Because the back door was open I went in and out lots and lots of times.

Just whenever I wanted to. Ha.

So I took my dinosaur outside with me.

Well it was one of those days when the entire household was up awake and dressed early this morning.

By the time we completed our early patrolling, Little Victories was open.

So we promptly marched up to Bank Street to avail ourselves of first run of cinnamon swirls.

By the time we returned home Niamh and Zita had left and Craig was starting his second coffee.

We were gratified to see our garden was beginning to blossom forth. About time I say.

According to our latest intelligence Mrs. Bruna and Mister Lyndon have entered Spain on their Camino expedition.

And Miss Tara has once again ended up in Jordan.

Some lovely Crusader castles there, but I suspect she will be more interested in the markets of the souk.

A fabulous cook is our Miss Tara. My goodness me.

What a collection of social butterflies our family has.

After I had my lunch Craig and I sat outside for a while. In my own side yard.

I even had a little outside nap. And he read his detective book.

Because it was a beautiful as could day be today.

But when we got too hot we came inside,  so I could mind Craig when he read his book inside.

That is a good job for me.

We have even more beautiful flowers in the garden. I saw them right from my watching chair.

Because they are right in our garden. My goodness.

Festis and Furrgus

Well it was so warm this afternoon we had our nachos and a local cider on the Craft Beer patio.

After had scoured the neighbourhood naturally.

So we called our Cousin Morag to gloat a bit, as it was a rainy, blustery 4 degrees in Glenfinnan.

She said we were lucky to catch her as she and the dogs are off to the family place outside of Cap Ferrat.

Which rather took the wind from our sails. It is hard to get one up on Morag.

Though we had a lingering suspicion that the vacation decision occurred as soon as she heard us brag about our weather.

Over the years there has been much speculation about how that property came into the family’s hands.

As it just rather showed up the year we started at Harrow.

There is certainly a casino nearby, and Auntie Elsbeth was a deft hand at the Baccarat tables.

But that has alway seemed a far too obvious a canard if you ask me.

Perhaps we should ask Morag to dig into the history of the place.

That might keep her busy and out of trouble with the local constabulary. Well perhaps.

We should alert our lawyers in Monaco that she is back in town. Forewarned etc.

When Zita got home I was very happy. Ha.

So we had spaghettis right away.

So we could watch the end of our very good detective program.

But it was a bit sad.

Because now it is all over. Oh dear.

But then it was. Time for us to go to bed. That is a good time for me.
