Day One Hundred and Eighty Three

Miss Pancake

We went to bed early last night.

Because everybody was too tired.

So we had a very long sleep. Ha. That was a good idea.

And after we got up I looked out my window and it was a very sunny day outside.

After Zita had her first coffee and I had my breakfast we drove Niamh to her Trees store.

And they have a giant whale. Right in the store. Oh my goodness.

But it is not a real whale.

Because there is no water in the store. It is just a pretend whale.

So it is not so very dangerous. Unless it falls on your head.

When we came home Craig was all awake. And when he had his next another coffee he made toasts.

And we had hamburger buns toasts today. With strawberries jam. Ha.

That is silly toasts. I got a little bit of the very crunchy part.

Then it was time for my watching chair nap.

That is a very comfy chair for nice naps. And it is my chair. Ha.

Furrgus and Festis

While it was not particularly cold today, it was wonderfully sunny.

So after Zita and Miss P got back from delivering Our Niamh to her work we went off to Bridgehead for a mornings worth of blueberry muffins.

Then right over to Little Victories for a cappuccino or two and waited until the fresh doughnuts arrived. It is Tuesday you know.

We see that the SNP is floundering.

That is what they get for not electing Cousin Morag to lead them from the parliamentary wilderness.

Anyway her attention is fully consumed by the new puppies.

According to Lochlainn she has converted the second dining room into a nursery.

Cook is absolutely appalled.

Which is a bit much since we have not had to used both dining rooms since that Burns Night in ‘46.

When we had all returned more or less intact.

And the less said about that night the better. Let me tell you.

Miss Pancake

I woke up just in time for my lunchtime.

Craig did not have his lunch today because he was a little bit sick.

So his doctor talked to him on the telephone. And Zita went and got him some make you better medicine.

So I stayed right here to mind him. That is a good job for me.

Festis and Dugal’s cousin has a whole bunch of brand new puppies. And she brought them to the castle.

There are so many that they had to get their very own room. Castles have lots of rooms.

I do not have my own room. Because we do not have a castle.

But I have the big bedroom with Craig and Zita.

And I mind them at night. When they are fast fast asleep.

But I have two of my very own comfy beds.

And my comfy chair is right beside my own watching window.

When I was brand new I had to share my bed with all my noisy brothers.

But now I do not have to share by bed. Unless my friends want to sit with me.

Before I went to school today I got into big trouble.

Because I dug a very nice giant hole in my side yard.

And I had to have a bath because you cannot go to school all as dirty as could be. Oh my goodness no.

Craig said there was so much dirt in the bathtub he is going to grow potatoes.

Oh dear. That was not such a nice thing to say.

Zita said it was her fault because she did not take me on a long good morning walk. Oh.

I did not know that.

I thought I just wanted to make a big hole. Oh well.

I only took Zita to school with me today.

Because Niamh was so busy at work. Maybe somebody wanted to buy her giant whale. Maybe.

But I was still very good at my school.

And I learned so much that I was very tired when I got home.

So I went to fast asleep right away.

Going to school is very hard. Especially if you are a puppy like me.

Some of the dogs in my class are as old as Niamh or maybe Zita. My goodness me.

But I am only just five months old. That is not so very old.

We had fat tortellinis for dinner.

And Tarryn was here too. So she did not starve today. That is good.

Then it was time for Craig’s new bandage.
