Day Three Hundred and Thirty Three

Miss Pancake

I was up until very late last night.

Because we had a lovely with everybody party.

Craig and Zita and Emmet and Niamh and Alice and Tarryn were all here.

And I minded them all the time. That was a very good time for me.

So Zita and I had a little bit of a sleep in.

Because Zita did not go to work today. So I did not go either. Ha.

So after our cappuccinos we went to our favourite farm.

And today there were lots and lots of the farmers machines everywhere.

Even very loud tractors. I watched them for a long time.

I had never seen a tractor drive all around. My goodness me.

I had to be careful if there were tractors around when I was doing my fast running.

And a very very big machine cut all the grass beside my roads.

That is my very favourite kind of grass.

And there was lots and lots of it.

And it was such a very beautiful day were were there for a long time.

Because were were having lots of together fun. Ha.

And when we got home everybody was awake. Even Craig.

Then Niamh and Emmet talked to their Irish grandparents. Both of them.

So I sat on my chair and minded the house.

That is my best job.

Then Zita drove Niamh to her shop.

But I could not go, because Niamh’s very fast bicycle was in my backseat.

So I had to stay here. Oh well.

But then Zita came back because Niamh had forgotten important things.

So I got in the fast car with Zita to take the important things to Niamh at the shop.

And when we got there I went in the shop too.

And we stayed there for a long time and I practiced walking in a new place.

I was very polite so I got treats.

Festis and Furrgus

Well we arrived at Little Victories as they opened, so we were just finished our second espressos when the doughnuts were delivered.

We brought Mrs. T’s invaluable hand truck once again and we loaded eight boxes of six doughnuts and secured them with Bungie Cords.

With the doughnuts safely loaded we headed home.

Mrs. T and Miss Pancake had already left for their constitutional when we got home.

As the second freezer was already filled with pies we placed seven of the boxes in our basement cooler.

As there was no room for the eighth box we were forced to eat those doughnuts on the spot.

That resulted in all three of us curling up for a mid morning nap.

When we awakened it was past lunchtime, but we were still rather filled by those doughnuts, so we decided to forego lunch today.

We settled on some of Mrs. T’s delicious lemon poppyseed cake instead.

Miss Pancake

After I had my lunch I looked out my window at the whole world.

But I had to be very quiet.

Because Emmet was having a meeting with people in very far away Ireland.

It was about the classes he is going to teach at the university. My goodness me. That is exciting.

So I was very quiet because I did not want anyone to think that Emmet’s favourite dog was not so very polite.

Then Craig and Zita and I went on a homework walk. To practice my beside Zita walking.

And I was the best walking dog ever. Zita told me so. Ha.

And Craig saw that we have very beautiful giant flowers in our own front garden.

We have lots of other very beautiful flowers in our garden too.

I think we are those buzzy bee’s favourite garden.

After we got home Emmet and Alice and their friends went to an underground house.

And they had to find their own way out. It was a contest.

And they won.

Then they went to a restaurant to say goodbye to those friends.

Because tomorrow Emmet and Alice are going back to their lovely apartment in Ireland. My goodness me.

Because Emmet has to finish his important paper.

And Alice’s hospital needs her to put people’s insides back inside. That is an important job.

Zita and her not to fast bicycle went to the lovely shop.

To see special lovely things in the basement. My goodness.

But Niamh went out with her friends tonight to watch a baseball game.

So I only had Craig and Zita to mind.

And we had used hamburgers from last night.

Used hamburgers are very tasty. It is known.

So we had lots of time to watch the funny detectives before we were way too tired and had to go to bed.

Day Three Hundred and Thirty Two

Miss Pancake

We did not go to our farm this morning because it was a rainy morning.

And Zita did some rascal ladies work and it is our do not go to work day. Oh dear.

But after our breakfast Miss Sue came to have coffee with Zita and Niamh.

And to talk about painting some walls in her house.

And when she was gone Zita and I went for a just around here walk.

When we got home Zita and I drove Niamh to her lovely shop.

Because it started to be very rainy again.

Then we went on an adventure ride so we could visit the nice farmers and get some brand new strawberries.

I stayed in the car to mind it it, because it was too rainy everywhere.

Adventure rides are my favourite.

And when we got home Craig and I had some of those strawberries. My goodness me.

I had such a busy morning I did not even have a nice nap.

Last night Emmet gave his friends Mike and Morgan the secret wedding present.

And it was a beautiful axe.

It used to be a very very old axe, but Emmet fixed it all up.

And he found a new handle and made it fit. With a saw.

Then those nice people put the very very old Irish words on the dangerous part of the axe, and right in the handle too.

Just like those letters on Emmet’s arms.

I do not know what they say. Because I cannot read those Irish letters so very well.

My goodness that was a very good secret present. My goodness me.

Furrgus and Festis

Thank goodness we had retrieved our Macintoshes from the basement as this morning broke to a significant rain storm.

We completed our morning patrol without incident but returned home hoping for an improvement in the weather before venturing forth again.

By the time lunch was finished the weather had slightly improved, so not wanting to tempt fate, my brother and I found the collapsible trolly and crossed the bridge over the canal.

Our selection of pies was waiting for for us, all boxed and neatly labeled.

After stopping for some polite conversation and a few espressos we stacked the trolly and went home, before the weather had the opportunity to reverse itself.

We noticed that Mrs. T was baking when we got home. That always bodes well.

We placed the pies in the little freezer and started on the New York Times crossword puzzle.

Which always readies me for a nap.

Tomorrow is the day that the Suzy Q doughnuts are delivered to Little Victories.

So it is an early day for us as you may imagine.

Miss Pancake

After lunchtime I was very busy helping Zita in the kitchen.

Because we were making a very tasty lemon cake for tonight’s together dinner.

But she had to use a noisy machine.

Emmet and Alice were very busy today.

They were studying for their exams when they are back in Ireland.

And Niamh’s friend Mister Noah brought her a very old coat. That was nice.

And yesterday Mister Tom left some old cameras for Niamh.

So she can take the old kind of pictures. That was very nice of him.

It is good to have nice friends. It is known.

This afternoon Emmet and Alice went and visited Niamh at her lovely shop.

So Alice could get some buy some very beautiful things.

Because they only have very beautiful things at Niamh’s shop.

Zita and I went for a very long nice before dinner walk today.

And we practiced different kinds of walking.

Sometimes fast walking, sometimes slow walking and even backwards walking.

And we talked to Professor Jill too.

And when we got home it was time for my other lunch.

Zita went in the fast car to the other delicious grocery store.

But I could not go.

Because I was so busy with my other lunchtime.

So I stayed here and minded Craig.

But when she got home she asked me to go in the fast car to get my friend Niamh and bring her home. So I did.

The fast car is my favourite.

We brought Tarryn home with us.

Because we had Zita’s exceptionally delicious hamburgers for dinner.

And I think that hamburgers are Tarryn’s favourite. Ha.

So we had everybody for our together dinner tonight. My goodness me. Thank was exciting for me.

Day Three Hundred and Thirty One

Miss Pancake

We had Mister Tony’s very delicious pizzas last night.

And Tarryn stayed here even after Niamh went to see her friends.

And then Zita came into the dining room. Because her meeting was all over.

So everybody talked a lot and I minded them.

But before we went to fast asleep we watched the three very funny detectives.

The ones who live in the beautiful apartments.

And this morning was so beautiful we went to the farm right away.

And we practiced our homework.

When we were finished I had a fast run all around.

When I run very fast my ears go all flappy. Ha.

That is so everybody will know I am a very fast running dog. Good for me.

But then we had to go to work.

Because we have lots and lots and lots of work to do. Oh my goodness me.

But then Niamh came upstairs. Ha.

I cannot sit on our lovely living room sofa. It is the rule.

Because I have my very own comfy chair.

But when Niamh is sitting on the sofa I can sit on her.

Because then I am not sitting on that sofa, I am only sitting on my friend Niamh. Ha. That is my best rule.

But then her very fast red bicycle took her to the beautiful shop.

So I minded Craig.

That is not even a bit hard job.

Emmet and Miss Alice were downstairs studying all morning.

Because Miss Alice has another exam all about putting people’s insides all back together. My goodness.

I did not know that doctors had to take exams even after they were doctors. My goodness.

Then it was time for everybody’s lunch. Especially mine.

Furrgus and Festis

Once again we were greeted by a beautiful morning.

So we extended our morning patrol to encompass the adjoining streets before we had to decided where we were to have our breakfast.

To take advantage of the weather we went the extra three blocks to the Oatmeal restaurant.

As they are in season, we ordered the roasted peaches and toasted almond porridge today.

We have deliberately kept the porridge choices from cook lest she succumbed to the apoplexy.

Better safe than sorry we thought.

As we had not brought Mrs. T’s folding hand truck we had to postpone the pie replenishment tip until tomorrow.

So with this in mind we dropped in to The Life of Pie to check out this week’s specials.

My brother copied down the choices for later deliberation.

So thus fully preoccupied we returned home.

Miss Pancake

After my lunch I helped Emmet and Miss Alice with their own lunch.

And I found my favourite roll around toy right in my outside bathtub. Ha.

Then I went back to our office to be Zita very best helper.

Emmet and Miss Alice went for a long walk in the lots and lots of sunshine.

Because they do not have so much sunshine in far away Cork. Oh dear me.

When they got back they went to a restaurant with their friends who got married.

It was answering hard questions restaurant.

Just like Niamh’s restaurant. But not the same restaurant.

And Emmet brought them the very secret wedding present. Oh my goodness. They will be surprised.

When Craig was in the den and Zita was in our office I just lay on the floor in front of them.

So I could mind them both at the same time. That is my best trick. Ha.

When Niamh got home she had to get all dressed up.

Because she was going to a nice restaurant.

Because it was Tarryn’s mother’s sing happy birthday day.

So there was only Craig and Zita for me to mind at dinner.

Because everybody else was out in restaurants. Oh my goodness me.

Even the badgers went out to their favourite Italian restaurant tonight.

The one up on the busy street.

The radio said it was the best tasty Italian restaurant ever. My goodness me.

Maybe we will watch the funny detectives.

And maybe will have a nice nap on Zita’s leg. Maybe.

Day Three Hundred and Thirty

Miss Pancake

We did not watch the detective program last night, because everybody sat at the dining room table and talked until past my bedtime.

I minded everything from underneath that table.

Then I went to bed.

Because it was the Monday back to work day Zita and I went back to work. Oh well,

But when Niamh got up I helped her with her outside breakfast and then Craig was all awake too.

But Miss Alice was having a sleep in this morning.

And Emmet was busy with his important story for their far away in Cork university.

When Craig had his another coffee he made toasts.

And I heard him open the bread drawer so I went to help him.

We had from France bread and we put from France jam on top. Ha. That was a tasty treat.

After Emmet and Miss Alice had their breakfast they went for a walk up to the busy street.

Because it was another very lovely day today.

Then Niamh went to visit a beautiful plant store.

I did not go this time because I minded Zita.

Because Mondays are very busy days for us.

Festis and Furrgus

We rather unwillingly set out on morning patrol this morning.

It appears that perhaps we over did the whole picnic extravaganza yesterday.

Or maybe it was the Scotch. None of us could quite remember.

Be that as it may, we went over to check on Miss Poppy’s ducks for her.

They certainly seemed fine, but not being experts we took their word for it.

Then we walked up to the Bridgehead for a banana muffin or two.

We felt a light breakfast would be appropriate considering yesterday’s gourmand situation.

We followed this with a brisk walk to Dow’s lake and then back home.

Upon arrival our Niamh was driving her brother and Doctor Alice downtown to do some shopping for friends in Ireland.

Thus there was only the usual suspects at home, Mr. and Mrs. T and young Pancake.

So we sat back with our copies of The Sunday Times and spent the rest of the afternoon being appalled by Westminster.

Which, all in all, is a fruitful way to spend a Sunday summer afternoon, in my opinion anyway.

Miss Pancake

Zita and I practiced our homework at lunchtime. I was a very good rememberer.

After lunchtime Niamh and the fast car took Emmet and Miss Alice downtown to do some shopping.

When everyone was gone I had my lunch and then I helped Craig with his sandwich.

It was not such a big sandwich today.

Because the bread from France was not so very big. Oh well.

Then I went outside to find more rocks for my collection.

Sometimes I bring the rocks into the house Zita puts them with all my other rocks.

Now I have my very own collection. Ha.

Maybe Niamh can sell them at her lovely shop. Maybe.

Then we would be rich. And we could go to Miss Sue’s store and get new toys. Ha.

I stayed with Craig when Zita was talking to everybody on her computer.

And I had a relax.

When everybody got home it was nearly time for our dinner.

But Zita had another too long at dinnertime meeting.

So Mister Tony’s friend brought us three delicious pizzas.

Then Niamh had to go out to play with her friends.

Day Three Hundred and Twenty Nine

Miss Pancake

My goodness me.

I had a very busy day today.

Zita and I had a nice little sleep in.

Because it is sleep in Sunday. Ha.

And after our breakfast we went to our farm. In our fast car. Ha.

And it was an as beautiful as could be day. My goodness.

And when we got there it was nearly only us.

So I had lots of places for my fast all around running.

But I did not see my cows, because they were still asleep in their beautiful big barn.

Zita says they only come out at night when it is not so hot outside.

Craig said that maybe they are vampire cows. That is silly.

Sometimes he is very silly. But not all the time.

And we had to crawl underneath a very big fence.

Because we got a bit too far away from our car. My goodness that was an adventure for us.

And we found lots of brand new beans.

But I did not eat any.

Because they are the farmer’s own beans.

When we got home Craig was all awake, so Craig and Zita had their coffees outside in our very clean side yard.

Because it was a very beautiful day today.

And when they had toasts I was a very big help.

When Niamh was home I minded everybody. That is a good job for me.

But then it was time for Zita and Niamh and I to go to our school.

My goodness I nearly forgot.

Festis and Furrgus

It was an absolutely beautiful day today.

So we chartered a taxi and went for proper picnic.

The lovely people at Life of Pie packed us and entire brunch and an after noon tea.

We supplied the wines and before and after dinner Scotches.

Though we do rather envy Cousin Morag’s Bentley with it’s built in picnic table.

And wine chiller. My goodness.

Miss Pancake

When we got to my school there was only nice Miss Ocean and me.

So we learned lots and lots.

And I had to lie down on a box and stay there until Zita said to come.

That is a very hard trick,

And when I got home I was so tired I had a nap.

Learning new things is very tiring for me.

Next time Miss Sach said she is going to come too. Then she can be my helper. Ha.

Niamh and Miss Sach went on an adventure ride in the no top Jeep.

I was too tired to go.

Then Zita went to get a brand new leash for us.

Because maybe by accident I chewed a big hole in my leash. Oh dear.

And Craig squished my foot a bit. But it was an accident.

We went to the same place at the same time. Oh dear.

But I was ok. And he got me a treat.

Then Emmet and Alice were back from the wedding.

But they were as tired as I was. So they had a nap too.

Then Niamh was home so we sat in the side yard and had a relax together.

Then Niamh and the fast car went to get fluffy coffee milk for Zita’s breakfasts.

Zita made a special, extremely delicious dinner for every. I helped.

But only a bit.

Because I was very busy minding Niamh.

Everybody was very busy today. Except for Craig.

Too bad for him.

Saturday, 26 August 2023

Day Three Hundred and Twenty Eight

Miss Pancake

Zita and I had a little bit of a sleep in before our breakfast.

Then we went to run all around in our farm.

But you have to be very careful because now there are lots of very big machines for the farmers.

And sometimes they are parked where I always run. Oh well.

But when we got home I got in trouble for too much jumping. Oh dear.

When Niamh was all awake her friend Miss Deena came to visit us.

And she had coffee and waffles with us.

Miss Deena came from very not too far away Toronto to live here.

She has been inside a pyramid. And she was not even a bit dead. That is good.

Then Zita drove Niamh and Miss Deena to the lovely shop.

Because Miss Deena works there too.

When Zita came home Craig went in the den to talk to his old friends, and Zita brought him some toasts.

So I stayed there to help him. With the toasts.

Then Zita had to get the noisy floor cleaner machine. To clean the floors again.

They get a bit too dirty because sometimes I have dirty feet. Oh dear.

I went to the den so I could guard Craig from that noisy machine.

Then Zita went outside to our side yard with the blow everything far away machine.

So my feet would keep nice and clean. That was a good idea.

But I had to stay inside because it is a dangerous machine. So I minded Craig.

When the whole side yard was very clean I went out to help Zita make everything neat and tidy.

So I put all my bouncy balls in my outside bathtub. Ha.

But that bathtub is a bit tippy. So you have to be careful.

Furrgus and Festis

When we opened the blinds no brilliant sunshine beckoned us. The clouds had won the day I am afraid to say.

But aside from that, there was no rain and there was a pleasant breeze blowing as we walked to Irene’s for our breakfast.

Emmet and Doctor Alice made it to the wedding without incident, which all things considered, is a good thing.

We made it home last night without disturbing the household, even Miss Dog.

Our SAS sargent major would have been so very proud of us.

We had had been at the Central Pub until closing, as last night was live music night.

Nothing like real music to get the blood flowing I must say. Well that and a snifter of brandy.

This morning, over several bowls of chilli and onion rings, we read up on Heat Pumps as a possible solution for the livability situation at the castle.

We will send a telegram to Lochlainn and suggest he might look into the availability of local installers.

Now that should keep everyone busy for several weeks.

I suspect we may have to subsidize the creation of local expertise. Noblesse Oblige and all that.

Great Grandfather built the fist hydroelectric dam in all of the Western Highlands.

Made a fortune selling it to the Sasanachs years later. Naturally.

Miss Pancake

I was very tired after helping Zita in the side yard so I went in the den and minded Craig.

Zita went up to our busy street to do some important errands.

I stayed here.

Today is the special day just for dogs all over everywhere.

I think maybe I will get some extra treats today.

Maybe they will forget about that too much jumping. Oh dear me.

This afternoon when Zita was busy Craig and I had a nice relax.

But when she came back we had time to go back to my very favourite farm.

Maybe because it is the for dogs day. Maybe. Ha.

So the fast car was very happy to go there too.

Then we went and brought Niamh home so she could have dinner with us.

And we had the especially delicious chicken. My goodness.

And I had my dinner too.

Before our detective program/

Day Three Hundred and Twenty Seven

Miss Pancake

We got up a bit early today.

Because it was a very busy day.

So Zita and I went to our farm for a long run all over.

Then when we got home Emmet and Miss Alice were all ready to go to the wedding.

Emmet took the very secret present with them.

I cannot side on the big comfy sofa in the living room.

But when Niamh sits on it I get right on her lap.

Because I am not on the sofa, I am on Niamh. Ha. That was a good idea.

After Emmet and Alice went on their little trip Niamh had to chase me.

Because I was winning the run away with a shoe game.

That is my very favourite game.

Then Niamh made Scotsman’s porridge for breakfast and Craig had some too.

But I got to lick Craig’s bowl all squeaky clean. Ha.

Then it was time for the very fast bicycle to take my friend Niamh to her lovely shop.

So she could sell people beautiful things. Ha.

Then it was a Craig and Pancake day.

So we looked out the watching window.

To make sure everything was all right.

Then it was time for my morning nap.

Furrgus and Festis

The weather was distinctly cloudy this morning, with an added soupçon of fall, as an afterthought.

Ahh well the seasons change before we do. It is inevitable I suppose.

Emmet and Doctor Alice were busy with their arrangements for the wedding excursion as we went out on morning patrol.

We wished them a Bon Voyage and set out to The Life of Pie for breakfast, and to pick up our current consignment of selected pies.

Mrs. T’s fold up trolley certainly helps keep our pies quite intact.

As we have to venture over the rather steep bridge to return home.

When we were transferring the pies in our backpacks occasionally a pie was deconstructed.

And thus had to be eaten on the spot to avoid the mess inundating the backpacks.

On arriving home we found only Mr. T and Miss P in residence. All others being fully occupied.

So with not disrupting them we slipped effortlessly into our pyjamas and commenced our afternoon naps.

Miss Pancake

Craig and I had a very quiet afternoon.

Craig did not have his lunch until late.

But we had peanut butter and jam toasts. And today they were the right bit of toasty.

Sometimes Craig is not so very good with the toasting machine and sometimes the toast is way too toasty. But not today. Ha.

Then I went back to sleep.

Because I have been very busy minding everybody. And now we have two more everybodys. My goodness me.

But they are away for a little bit. At that wedding.

Niamh’s very fast red bicycle brought her home this afternoon. After her work.

Then I chased her. Ha.

Our friend Lee is still in way far away Italy. Looking for very old things in the ground. But soon they will be home.

That is good. Lee and I are best friends.

When the fast bicycle brought Niamh home we went for a very long walk. Until it was nearly dark.

Then Zita the fast car brought Zita home too. My goodness.

And Craig and I had very fat ham sandwiches in the den when we were watching the detective program.

Day Three Hundred and Twenty Six

Miss Pancake

Everybody is here in my house.

So I was very busy minding everybody.

Zita did not go downtown today.

So we went on a very lovely long around my streets walk after our breakfast.

Then we I got home Niamh was awake so she and I sat in the side yard and had our breakfast.

And when she had her coffee and talked on her telephone I minded her.

When she went downstairs to get all dressed for her lovely shop I minded Zita in our right here office.

Then Craig was all awake too.

But before he could make our toasts Emmet and Miss Alice were awake so I had to mind all of them.

I was very busy this morning.

So I stayed here and had my nice nap.

Because I was very busy this morning.

Festis and Furrgus

Well the mornings was beautiful but the day declined, and it was raining before mid afternoon.

So we were fortunate to get all our tasks done before noon.

As today is doughnut delivery day at Little Victories we made that our first stop. Fist there best served is our motto.

Then we stopped in to the Wild Oat for omelettes.

I am sorry to say that they do not care to produce doughnuts. Something about healthy lifestyles they say.

On our way home we noticed a most disturbing sight.

I am sure it is far too early for this.

This prompted a discussion about the changing climate and what precautions we should be considering for Tiroam.

Well aside from finally installing a roof on the south tower and tearing out the coal fired monstrosity that fills the first basement.

We had best speak to Lochlainn and settle on a plan and a budget, before talking to Morag, lest she decides to take a hand.

When we got home our Emmet and Doctor Alice were just finishing breakfast.

We offered them our doughnuts but they had just finished waffles.

So we put the box right in the freezer to avoid temptation.

Miss Pancake

After lunchtime Mister Mike’s fix your car store called to tell us that the fast car was already and perfect.

But Zita was very busy making the extremely delicious chocolate brownies.

So she could not go until the brownies were ready to be cooked.

Then she walked over the new bridge and brought our car home.

I did not go with her because it is a bit too far for to go until I am a bit bigger. Oh well.

Then Miss Brenda came to visit Emmet and to meet Miss Alice. She is Emmet’s godmother.

So she knew Emmet when they were very very small. My  goodness.

And she had never met me. My goodness. Too bad for her.

So I showed her how I can guard everybody all by myself.

She said I was the most polite dog ever. That is true.

When she was gone Zita went to the tasty food store to find an already cooked chicken for our dinner.

When Niamh got home Zita was there at the same time. My goodness.

And Zita and I went for a walk, even in the sometimes rain.

So we were all soggy when we got home. Oh well.

After dinner everybody talked for a very long time.

I minded everything underneath our dinning room table.

But then it was time for bed, so we did not watch any detective programs tonight.

Wednesday, 23 August 2023

Day Three Hundred and Twenty Five

Miss Pancake

We did not go to our farm this morning.

Because we are very busy getting everything all ready for Miss Doctor Alice.

So Zita and I had a lovely long just around here walk. We practiced my walking nicely. So I got treats.

When Zita took Niamh to her lovely shop I stayed here to mind Craig.

Because he was sick yesterday.

He did not have even one coffee this morning.

But we had two cookies for our breakfast.

Emmet is making his room as neat and tidy as can be.

So Miss Alice will not know that his room was as messy as Niamh’s. My goodness me.

When Zita got home she went outside to put all the garden garbage in a huge paper bag.

For the nosy garbage truck to take away.

Then it was my lunch time and I did not even have a long relax this morning.

I was very busy.

Festis and Furrgus

With the arrival of Miss Alice nearly upon us, we joined in the preparations.

We dusted each other thoroughly, with the sticky rollers, and found new shoe laces. Ones that matched.

Feeling very presentable we were off to Little Victories for a few cappuccinos and some fresh croissants.

Thus refreshed, we continued our window shopping. One must be prepared as Christmas rather sneaks up on one.

It was another beautiful day for strolling along, so we continued until we stopped at Ten Trees for a snack.

They do a rather nice raspberry scone, with chocolate drizzle, I must say.

As we were rather full the long walk home was probably a good thing.

When we got there, we were just in time to assist Mrs. T filling the refuse bags.

So by then we were well prepared for our afternoon nap.

Miss Pancake

Zita and Emmet went grocery shopping for the kind of tasty treats that Miss Alice likes.

I stayed here to mind Craig.

And to have my lunch.

But I had to guard Craig because a very silly lady came on my patio.

With a very big red balloon. And a very big basket.

And when my friend Craig opened the door she ran away.

And she stopped on the sidewalk and said she did not know that he had a fast chair.

And then she ran fast fast away.

I was glad I have a very fierce bark now that I am nearly big.

Then Emmet came back but Zita went to the little market to get tasty fresh vegetables for us.

When she was gone Craig had two toasts with peanut butter and way too much strawberries jam on top.

So I had to help him.

Then Zita and I went to fill the car up with smelly gasoline.

Then we went to my friend Sue’s for nice dogs store and we got more tasty treats for my practicing.

When I got out of the go fast car Emmet got in.

Because it was time to go to the Aeroport and find Miss Alice and bring her to my house. My goodness me.

When Miss Alice got here we had Mister Kettleman’s bagels. And then everybody told funny stories.

Then Zita had to take our car to Mister Mike’s car shop. To make sure the car is perfect.

Because Zita is going to drive Emmet and Miss Alice to the a bit far away wedding. My goodness.

Day Three Hundred and Twenty Four

Miss Pancake.

I was not so busy this morning.

After our breakfast Zita and I went to our farm and I ran around.

Because it was a very beautiful day today.

When we got home the fast car took Zita downtown to her not as nice office.

But Niamh did not go to her lovely shop this morning.

Because when she was awake she had a cannot open your eyes headache.

So then I was Niamh’s best nurse.

And when Craig got up he had a nasty headache too.

They both had nasty headaches at the same time.

And Craig had a sick tummy too. Oh my goodness.

Niamh got all comfy on the living room sofa with her own blanket and I minded her right there.

And Craig just stayed in the den. And he did not even have one coffee.

So we did not have our together breakfast today.

After I had my lunch I helped Craig with his lunchtime scone.

But he did not have any tasty jam on top today.

But it was still tasty.

Then he came in the living room and I was his best nurse from my comfy chair.

At lunch Emmet went to get the last piece of the secret present for the wedding.

Tomorrow Miss Doctor Alice will be here. Then I will have lots of family to mind. Ha.

I did not have so many adventures today.

Because being a nurse makes you too busy for interesting adventures.

Furrgus and Festis

When we returned from our breakfast we found both our Niamh and Mr. T hors de combat with headaches.

And Miss Pancake keeping a close eye of both of them.

As Mrs. T was downtown today all the medical duties fell to Miss P.

We offed both of them snifters of medicinal brandy but neither felt up to it.

So we just returned to our morning routine. And our naps.

Very glad that Miss P was in charge.

My entire medical knowledge consists of  slapping a field dressing on anything that looks like a hole and then injecting morphine.

Which all in all has limitations in household situations.

Miss Pancake

After lunch Emmet came home with the secret present. My goodness me.

Niamh was downstairs in her own bedroom fast asleep because of the headache.

So I just had a nice long relax with Craig in the living room.

He took some special medicine for his nasty headaches.

But he was very quiet.

So was I.

Because you have to be very quiet when someone has a nasty headache.

Or their head might just fall right off.

When Zita got home she was surprised.

She did not know that Niamh had could not go to her shop.

Because of the headache.

But she said I was very good nurse because they were not so sick as this morning.

Bouvier dogs are always very good nurses. Craig told me so.

After Emmet’s operations Miss Poppy always went downstairs for company until they were all better.

And when Craig broke all his legs she slept right beside him to keep his poor legs safe.

Not all dogs are very good nurses. Too bad for them.

After Zita and I went for our before dinner practice our homework walk be ordered pizzas.

And Mister Tony’s friend brought us two. Mister Tony makes very delicious pizzas.

Then it was detective program time for us.
