Day Three Hundred and Seven

Miss Pancake

Today is another day we do not have to go to work.

Because it is Saturday.

After our very early breakfast Zita and I went to our farm.

And I stuck my head out the window. Because we were not going way too fast.

And when we got there we had a very long all over walk.

But it was too hot for the cows to be outside. So I did not see any.

When we got home Craig was talking to Mister Tom and Mister Robert.

I went and said hello.

But I could not stay because, Zita and I were having a lovely relax in the side yard.

I only have to mind Craig and Zita because Emmet and Niamh are away with their friends.

But not the same friends. They have different friends too.

Then Zita had to go to her downtown office to take a roll around chair chair back.

Because she does not use it at her very tall desk.

But I could not go with her.

Because that chair took up all the whole of my backseat.

So I stayed here to help Craig with his lunch.

And then I had my afternoon nap.

Because it was a quiet day for us.

Furrgus and Festis

It was a fabulous day for the start of the long weekend I must say.

And I t has stopped raining in Acharacle, thank goodness.

There was a Great Blue Heron in the near pond today, looking statuesque as they do.

We waved as we finished morning patrol.

As it is Saturday Irene’s was open for breakfast so we three took advantage of the opportunity and I ordered the full farmer’s breakfast.

Eggs, sausages, ham, home fries, mushrooms and some lovely homemade pies for dessert.

Now that is the way to start the day I must say.

The others had pies too.

Then we continued our window shopping, looking for inspiration, as it will be Lochlainn’s birthday next month.

If we find something appealing that is also reasonably sized perhaps young Emmet could ferry it over.

But finding something that he would want much less need is proving a tad difficult.

We thought of contacting Cousin Morag, but her suggestions are alway a bit over the top.

Like the time she bought cook a Norton Manx, so she could go shopping in Fort William.

Cook, cook the lady who refuses to use motor cars as she considers them frivolous.

And the hour walk to town is just good exercise and allows for some quiet contemplation.

Away from Morag one suspects.

So we discounted that idea.

Mrs. T has suggested that we visit the Mountain Equipment Cooperative, as they are filled with amazing bits and pieces.

And she has kindly offered to drive us there next week.

Miss Pancake

I was very excited when Zita came home.

But I remembered my sitting. Ha. Good for me.

Then because I was such a very good rememberer we went on a lovely walk around our streets.

So we could look at everything.

Then Zita and I sat in our side yard and had a very nice long relax in the beautiful sunshine.

Before dinnertime I had two walks. The first one was all around, but then I came home and I took Craig for an adventure walk to the other pond.

Then it was our dinner time and Craig and Zita had bacons sandwiches. I got a very little bit.

Then it was time for the very good detective program.

And then it was time for my comfy bed. Ha.
