It was not such a very sunny day today.
And we could not go to the farm.
Because our go fast chair was not here.
Because Niamh and Miss Sach took it to the beautiful shop for cars.
So it would be as spick and span clean as could be.
And Miss Sach drove Niamh back to our house.
Then Zita had a little walk around my neighbourhood. I was a very good listener this morning.
Then it was rascal ladies work time for Zita and I. Oh well.
When Niamh came upstairs I minded her right in the dining room. Under the table.
She was very busy with all the pictures from the cottage.
I did not get to mind Emmet this morning.
Because they only come up to make lots of tea.
Because they are very busy making their giant story just right. My goodness.
When Craig got up it was time for Niamh’s very fast red bicycle to take her to her beautiful shop.
Then when everybody else was busy, Craig made his espresso and her had one of Niamh’s own made delicious cookies.
After I helped him and licked the bowl clean, I went back to our office to mind Zita on my very comfy pillow.
Festis and Furrgus
It was the standard cloudy day this morning.
The weather report said there would be thunderstorms later in the day so we adjusted our schedule accordingly.
We retrieved our Macintoshes, we won’t make that mistake again, and patrolled the property, until hunger drove us up to Bank Street and The Wild Oat.
We have weighted the risks of becoming predictable, against our penchant for their cheese and mushrooms omelettes. The omelettes won.
As my brother has often stated they are very nearly healthy.
So with a clean conscience under our belts, we added a second order of home fries.
We stopped by Bridgehead and picked up a couple of banana muffins for Uncle.
After a quick mental review of the pastry reserves we concluded that we could withstand at least two days before we instituted half rations.
We did not linger today as the sky became ominous ratter quickly.
Thankfully we were quick and made it home moments before the downpour.
Miss Pancake
I was minding Zita when all of a sudden there was lots and lots of very loud thunder and the sky just went into nighttime. Oh dear.
So I went into the living room to keep Craig company.
So he would not be scared.
So I just sat on my watch chair.
After a while it was time for my lunch.
Then I just stayed here to mind Craig and Zita.
Because Emmet went to play the dragons game at Mister Mike’s house.
And when I went outside Zita had to come with me.
Because of the too much rain and the giant toads. Oh dear.
But we only got a bit soggy. Good for us.
But in other places there was so much rain that the police said you should not go outside.
I saw picture of cars all full of water. Oh my goodness.
So Zita and I waited until there was no rain before we went for our dinnertime walk.
But there were no swimming cars on my streets. That was good.
I went for a very very long walk. Because I forgot everything again. Oh dear.
But then Niamh brought the clean as could be car home.
Then it was time for Craig to find my dinner. Ha.
I get dinner even when I am not a very good listener. That is good.
When Niamh went to bring Emmet home Craig and Zita and I watch new detective program.
In the den.
On the comfy sofa.
