Day Three Hundred and Eighteen

Miss Pancake

It was a very very beautiful day this morning.

So after breakfast Zita and I went to our farm right away.

And I had a lovely run around all over.

That corn was even higher today. Maybe it is giant corn.

And we did my homework too. Good for us.

But my cows were still fast asleep. Too bad for them.

When we got home Niamh was all dressed and awake.

And so was Emmet.

And Zita took Emmet to see a man who will do something secret to the secret wedding present.

The man was very excited. That was good.

And when they came home it was time for Zita to drive niamh to her shop.

I stayed her to mind Craig and Emmet.

Because Zita had to go to the other grocery store.

Because we did not have any ice cream at all. My goodness.

Festis and Furrgus

It was yet another perfect day.

So we found our wicker picnic basket and after checking the property we went straight to the Ichiban bakery.

The lovely ladies filled it up with, strawberry Danishes, cinnamon swirls, a fine selection of specialty scones, a dozen toasted ham and cheese croissant sandwiches and a dozen bottles of fresh lemonade.

My brother and I carried the basket between us, Uncle clearing the way.

We stopped beside the pond which adjoins the old bridge over the canal pond, and spread out our weatherproof tarpaulin.

No one wanted a damp bottom at the end of a fabulous day picnicking.

After toasting each other with lemonade we started with the Danishes. It was a wonderfully relaxing morning.

Each of us brought a book and almost immediately fell asleep.

When we got home it was nearly three.

We stored the remaining scones and a few swirls in the freezer. For another perfect day.

Miss Pancake

Before I had my lunch Zita and I went on our walk. And my friend Craig came too. That was a good idea.

And when we got to the pond our friend the giant bird was there.

Looking for tasty toads. My goodness.

We did not stay out for a long time because it was a bit too hot for us.

When we got home it was my lunchtime and it was time for Zita to go to the busy street and have dessert with her lady friends.

So I stayed here to mind Craig.

To make sure he did not turn all red because of the sunshine.

When Zita came home she made the lawn short again.

Because it got long just like that. My goodness.

But I stayed inside where it was not too dangerous.

We the the shepherd’s pie for our dinner.

That is our favourite dinner.

Then we put nice new bandages on Craig foot and watched a new detective program.
