Day Three Hundred and Nine

Miss Pancake

It was just a very rainy morning today.

So we did not go on a good morning walk.

Because we did not want to be too soggy.

So after our breakfast we sat in the living room and had a together relax.

When Craig got up he made Zita her fluffy cappuccino. And I got to lick the fluffy milk spoon all clean.

Then Craig and Zita just talked and looked out the windows at the rain.

So I had a nap.

When Craig had his next coffee he had a croissant too.

So I had to help him eat the crunchy ends. Ha.

Emmet and Niamh are still at some cottages.

I think they will be very soggy when they get home.

Zita had a shower even though she was already soggy from the rain. Oh well.

Festis and Furrgus

Well as I suggested there is often a balance to the weather.

Though the heat wave for the sasanachs is a bit much I do say.

Anyway it was raining when we exited for our morning patrol and looking at the forecast we decided to brave the weather and get breakfast.

One cannot bow before the vicissitudes of the weather.

So it was the Wild Oat for omelettes, home fries and a side order of sautéed mushrooms, for variety.

When our Pancake got home last night she was beside herself.

She had found herself a herd of cattle loitering in the Experimental Farm.

Those Bouvier genes run deep.

She said the moment she smelt those cows her mind exploded with ancient memories. Ahh well.

Very similar to our relationship with the Sasanachs.

Flodden was no so very long ago. The Fluuers O’ the Forest notwithstanding.

We made it home, wishing that we had donned our Macintoshes.

A rather wet oversight I must admit.

From the look of it Dugal’s was Boer War issue. So, as he says,  it is comfortably broken in.

Miss Pancake

After my lunch Zita and I went for a little walk in the little rain.

Because the lady said it was going to be a lots of rain day, all afternoon.

So we went before it was way too much rain for a walk.

Then Zita went in the fast car to do some errands and I stayed her to mind Craig

Now that I am getting bigger I can mind Craig and had a long relax at the same time.

He is not so very hard to mind.

Because he does not go down to the scary basement. That is good.

I was so happy when Zita got home I ran around and around and I forgot all my practicing. Oh dear.

So the fast car took Zita and I to the farm so I could run around and not run into the walls.

And I could practice my remembering too. Oh dear.

Zita’s mother and father are back in their own house.

And they found lots and lots of brand new tomatoes in their garden.

And they even had potatoes there too.

Because if you live in Ireland you have to eat potatoes every day. It is the rule. Zita told me. My goodness.

We came home before there was more lots of rain. So I was very tired.

Practicing mades me very tired. So I had a very nice nap on my own comfy chair.

Then Zita went outside to fix the garden before the rain even knew she was outside. Ha.

That was a good trick.

Niamh came home before dinner time.

But she did not have dinner with us.

Because she ate too much at the cottage.

And she was all full up with tasty food to the top of her head. Oh my.

And she was a bit smelly. So she had a squeaky clean all over shower right away.

And Zita had a shower too. Because she was all full of dirt from the garden.

My goodness everybody was dirty.

And Emmet did not get home until nearly our bedtime.

They were both very tired.

And Emmet had a bath too.

Going to parties is very tiring. It is known. Especially far away parties.
