Right after our breakfast we went to our farm.
For some practice walking and some running around.
Yesterday when we were there we saw a very very big coyote.
But it did not come close to us. That is good.
Zita said it was bigger than me. My goodness.
But soon I will be very big because I get two dinners every night. Ha.
But we did not see it today. That is good.
When we got home I jumped right on top of Craig.
But he did not get up.
Because he was listening to his book about a very big battle with very very big boats.
So he had to stay in his comfy bed for a while.
But when he got up we had our croissant in the den.
We did not have it in the living room today.
Because Susan and Chris came for some coffee and some other croissants.
And I minded them.
Niamh drove the fast car to her lovely shop today.
Because she left her very fast bicycle at the shop.
When we had the way too much rain.
When Craig talked to his old friends only Mister Tom was there.
Because Mister Robert’s computers forgot that they were computers. Oh my goodness.
And Miss Sandra was driving her new no noise car all over.
And Mister Paul was on vacation with his daughter, who came all the way from England.
So there was only Craig and Mister Tom. And they talked about me and Mister Max.
Now Mister Max lives nearly beside a giant forest.
It is very near his new apartment. Mister Kirk lives there too.
And now he was a very beautiful church.
Where he can play his very beautiful music.
Furrgus and Festis
We were a little slow getting ourselves together this morning.
As stayed at the Ribfest longer than anticipated. Perhaps much longer than anticipated.
There were so many people there and the lineups were very long.
And with Dugal’s penchant for striking up conversations with all and sundry we got caught up in the proceedings.
Though I must say it was quite amusing to see the look on people’s faces as he switched seamlessly between Arabic and Farsi.
Though he was wise enough not to expand on the reasons why he is so fluent. Thank goodness.
So having had a bit of a lie-in this morning we rather struggled to breakfast.
Common sense demanded we restrict ourselves so we just had some walnut muffins and an espresso or two.
We also thought a lengthy walk would be in order, as we are intending to attend Greekfest tomorrow, and exercise was in order.
As we walked along the canal my brother mentioned the Morag’s parents were having trouble selling Dunbeath.
They have had to lower the price to - offers over £25 million.
That provoked a round of chuckles I must say.
Dunbeath, lovely though it is, is a hop skip and jump from John O’Groates.
Take two steps further and you fall over the edge of the world.
At least that is what our father the Laird told us when we visited Morag and her brother.
Lop off another five or ten million and we might buy it as the HQ for the Blackthorn-Badger Foundation.
Then we could give the walled garden and cottage to Morag, those being really the only places she has fond memories of.
Dugal said he will telegraph the Foundation’s lawyers on Monday.
Miss Pancake
Last night when we were watching our detective program Zita gave my face a bit of a trim. And we did some more this morning.
Because my summer vacation is over and my school starts again tomorrow. Oh my goodness me.
And Zita said you cannot start school looking all scruffy. That is true.
Susan and Chris did not leave until way past lunchtime, and they ate all the croissants.
But Craig and I had two little peanut butter with lots of honey sandwiches instead.
Then Zita and I went for an around her walk.
Before it started to be all rainy. That was a good idea.
Because as soon as we got home there was lots of windy rain.
So Zita and I sat in the living room and looked at all the soggy people.
But then Zita went in the kitchen and made chocolate brownies. Craig says they are very delicious.
But even very polite dogs cannot have chocolate or they will get way too sick. So I did not have any.
But when Emmet came up stairs he had one with his tea.
Because he is very busy writing. Maybe he will read some of that story to me.
Maybe the cutting off heads part. Maybe.
We had Mister IKEA’s very delicious meatballs and spaghettis.
Then Craig and Zita and Emmet talked about universities so I had a nice nap.
Then we watched our favourite detective program and I had another nice nap. Right on Zita.
