I had a very busy morning today.
After our breakfast Zita and I and the fast car went to our farm for our exercise walk.
And it was so beautiful we stayed for a long time.
But we did not see my cows today. Zita said they were still fast asleep.
Then we went to a farmers market. Just Zita and me. And the car.
I stayed in the car to guard it when Zita went to look at the beautiful food.
And when she came back we had boxes of delicious peaches and strawberries and raspberries and a big bag of corn.
Maybe the corns were from our farm. Maybe.
Strawberries are Emmet’s favourite. That is why we got lots. Ha.
When we got home Niamh was all awake, and she was making very delicious cookies. Peanut butter cookies. My goodness.
When Craig had his next coffee Niamh gave him a brand new still hot cookie.
And I got his last bit. Ha. Peanut butter cookies are very delicious.
Then it was time for Zita and I to take Niamh to her lovely shop.
So she can sell people beautiful clothes.
Then when we got home I helped Zita in the kitchen.
I did not even have time for my morning nap.
It was a very busy morning for me.
Festis and Furrgus
Well the clouds had disappeared and it was a bright sunny day that greeted us when we went forth on morning patrol.
When we got home Miss Niamh slipped us some fabulous home made peanut butter cookies.
Let me tell you peanut butter cookies are completely unknown north of the Tay.
Personally I think it smacks of snobbery.
Well the results speak for themselves, so my brother and I, fortified by the aforementioned cookies went for a search for the perfect brunch venue.
As it was a warmish day we wore our linen kilts.
Oh I know, some will be askance, but only by those who have not worn a wool kilt in above 25 degrees.
Cook has a second or third cousin, it is hard to tell with those MacKays, who is related to whom. And who is talking to whom.
Not all of them came out in the ‘45. Ahh families.
Anyway it is she who weaves these light weight kilts. So not only do we keep cool, we keep in Cooks good books. A useful situation I assure you.
By the time the dust had settled we were well down bank street so it was off to Cantina Gia for some of their tasty lamb ragu.
After a few espressos we stopped in at Heaven’s Creamery for a quick ice cream or two.
To finish off brunch.
We waddled home.
Miss Pancake
I was not so very busy this afternoon so I had time to have a nice nap.
Later Zita and Emmet went to look at a suit for Mister Mike’s wedding.
But Emmet is not going to buy it. They are going to rent it. My goodness me.
Emmet does not like wearing suits very much.
Craig does not even have one suit and he is very old.
He just has lots and lots of T-shirts. He says T-shirts are more comfy than suits.
Niamh has lots and lots and lots of clothes. Maybe she has a suit too. Maybe.
I stayed here and looked out the window so I could keep Craig safe as could be.
He had some of the very delicious peaches for his lunch. I got to lick the bowl.
When Zita and Emmet got home there was a bag, with a suit inside. My goodness.
Then Zita and I went for our before dinnertime walk. We had a long walk because it was still beautiful outside.
We saw Professor Jill and her new little dog. It is not a brand new dog.
Professor Jill always fiends little dogs who do not have any family anymore.
Oh my goodness I would not like to have my own family anymore.
Who would take care of them if I was not there. My goodness gracious me.
After a while my friend Niamh came home on her very fast red bicycle.
Then it was our dinnertime.
We had sausages for our dinner. Sausages are my very favourite.
Zita cooked them on the outside stove.
But I do not get so many of them. Oh well.
Maybe when I am all grown up I will get lots of them. Maybe.
Then Emmet and Niamh were very busy so Craig and Zita and watched our detective program.
