After our breakfast Zita and I went for our around here good morning walk.
Sometimes I was a very good listener. But not all the time.
And when we came home everybody came to visit me today. Miss Sach and Tarryn too.
And we all sat on the kitchen floor and had good morning coffees and even some treats.
My goodness that was fun.
Then the noisy Jeep took Niamh and Tarryn to their beautiful clothes store.
After a while a lady came to look at Craig’s feet so he can have brand new socks.
And they are going to be very blue. Ha.
The lady has three dogs. But they are very little.
She said that I was not so little. That is true.
But I stayed in the living room.
To practice my minding. Ha. Good for me.
When the lady was all gone Zita’s bicycle took her to the grocery store, and when she got back she had scones.
So Craig and I had one for lunch. With strawberries jam.
It was so tasty we had another one. Right away. Ha.
Then it was time for my nap.
Furrgus and Festis
The forecast rain did not not appear. So we decided to continue with our regular schedule.
The neighbourhood was devoid of mischief makers so we felt that a few omelettes would be in order.
And a few espressos as it was Friday.
After breakfast we wondered about drinking in the beautiful weather.
And we stopped in to a few other establishments for another couple of their espressos.
Comparison shopping you might say.
We were more than a bit concerned on hearing the early morning news about the forest fires out west.
And on reviewing the map, we felt certain that Miss Pancake parent’s ranch has been evacuated.
That was a bit of a shocker I must say.
We decided that we would leave it to Mr. And Mrs T to break the new to young dog.
But when we got home we were rather overjoyed to find that Mrs. T had arrived home with a box of scones.
My goodness what could be better, so we buttered a few and sat on the patio swing, being incredibly self satisfied.
A couple of scones does that to one.
It is the best thing about scones, and their taste of course.
It was live music night at Irene’s yesterday, so we needed to catch up on our beauty sleep, so all of us accompanied Miss P with her afternoon nap.
Miss Pancake
My goodness after my lunchtime, the lady on radio said that everyone has to leave the lovely ranch where my mother lives. Even my mother too.
Because lots and lots of trees are on fire and the wind might blow the fire too close to her house, and the very big barn too.
I used to play in that barn with my rascally brothers. And the horses too.
But the radio said that everybody put their horses in big trucks and drove to somewhere safe.
I know my mother went too. So she could mind the smelly horses.
Oh my goodness me.
I would not like it if our beautiful trees were all on fire. Or my own house. My goodness me.
When Zita got home we went to our farm.
Because it was our Friday do not go to work day. I forgot that.
When we were in the fast car Zita told me that there was nothing on fire here.
And I could not smell anything on fire. That was good.
And all my friends the cows were in their own very big barn. Where it is very safe.
So I was not worried any more.
We did not stay very long today because it started to rain.
So we hurried back to our car. Where it was very dry.
When we got home it was time for my second lunch. Ha.
Then Zita went downstairs to make Emmet’s pants perfect.
Because they were a bit too long.
I had to stay upstairs and mind Craig.
That was not as interesting as fixing pants. Too bad for me.
We had a very long dinnertime before I minded Emmet in the living room.
Emmet had to read more stories for his university.
Craig and Zita watched the detective program.
