Day Three Hundred and Six

Miss Pancake

When I woke up there was only Craig and Zita for me to mind.

Because Emmet and Niamh are away with friends.

But I nearly did not go on my good morning to everybody walk this morning.

Because I forgot how to sit. Oh my goodness.

So Zita went back in the house.

But after a while I remembered how to do it, and then we went on our practice walking. Good for me.

When we got home I helped Craig with his round toasts.

Then I helped Zita do some important work in our office.

And it is our do not go to work Friday. Oh dear. Too bad for us.

There were lots of Poppy’s friends the ducks in our pond this morning.

Maybe they will be my friends too.

And Zita said there was a giant bird there today.

It comes to visit the pond and catch those jumpy toads. My goodness.

There were jumpy toads in my side yard last night.

And Niamh had to chase them away. My goodness. That was exciting.

Festis and Furrgus

It was a lovely day as we went on morning patrol.

Sunny and moderate as the weather people say.

We noticed that it was been raining rather steadily in Acharacle.

So I was going to telephone Cousin Morag, just to check in, but my brother reminded me that it was August, so she obviously was in Dinard, at her accustomed suit at the Grand Hôtel Barrière.

That is unless her friend Viscount Fiêre is in the residence.

It is hard to keep up with her social life I must say. Takes after her grand Aunt Elisabeth says Dugal.

Anyway we spent a pleasant morning window shopping after we had had our omelettes and coffees.

As this is a long weekend we had to make sure of pastry reserves were up to date.

No one wants the unpleasant surprise of a stale croissant to start the day.

So between Bridgehead and the Ichiban we headed home with our backpacks weighed down with delights.

Miss Pancake

I had a very nice relax after my lunchtime.

And Craig and I saw the whole world go by from my watching window.

It was a very nice relax for us.

Then Mister Paul came over and Zita and he looked at the take the roof’s water away pipes.

Because we are going to make them different.

When he went home Zita and I went back to work.

And then Professor Jill came to visit.

Then we went into the side yard to talk, and I minded them.

And when they were all finished Zita and I walked Professor Jill all the way to her house.

And then I ran around in her backyard as fast as could be. Ha. That was lots of fun.

Then we came home.

I had a very busy afternoon.

We had toasts with eggs on top for dinner.

Then it was detective program time for us. Ha.
