Day One Hundred and Thirty Nine

I woke up a bit early this morning.

So we did not have a nice sleep in today. Oh dear.

But it was not so cold this morning.

So after my breakfast I went into the side yard.

Because in the side yard I can go right behind things and be in my very own tunnel. Ha.

And no one can even see my tail. Ha.

Niamh was all awake early too.

Because she had a very big story to write for one of her professors.

So I stayed right with her so she would have very toasty toes. It is easier to write things if you are toasty warm.

When Zita was talking to her parent in far away Ireland I went in the den to help Craig with his another coffee.

Because he had very tasty pastries too. And they were full of apples.

But I only got a very very little bit. Or else we would both be in big trouble he said. Oh well.

Then Zita and I went for some more practice walking. But this time outside because it was not so cold.

Then she went on an exercise walk with Professor Jill.

So I went right back to mind my friend Niamh. That is a good job for me.

Craig told me that today a very long time ago lots of men got dressed up as cows and they got into a castle.

Because everybody thought they were cows.

And they were really just smelly Scotsmen.

They should have had some smart Bouvier dogs like me. Then they would not have lost their castle.

Because we know all about how cows really smell. Ha. Good for us. Too bad for them.

Festis and Furrgus

We too were up at the crack of dawn. Thanks to all the commotion in the kitchen.

We rather staggered awake, as we had a late night.

We were up ‘till all hours watching Gunga Din, on Craig’s other tablet.

It was not as good as we had remembered, but neither are many things.

Well except for porridge and Bowmore’s 25.

Craig apparently told Miss P about the Black Douglass’s capture of Roxborough castle.

We must sometime take the opportunity to tell her the less cow-centric version of the story.

I am sure there were at least some of the great great cousins involved.

We will have to get Mrs. Monroe, the castle archivist to look it up.

Cows indeed!

We went off to Feleena’s for breakfast.

A dozen or so Buñeulos and a few cups of strong coffee are just the thing to start a day.

By the time we were home the entire family was awake and was going about their allotted duties.

We napped.

Miss Pancake

When Zita came home from her exercise walking she had to remind Craig that it was my lunchtime. Oh dear. Too bad for me.

But then he had a toast in the den. And I helped him. Ha.

Then Sach came over to visit me.

And Zita went downtown to get a brand new telephone.

Because Craig’s old telephone is way too old for her. Too bad for him.

And then Niamh and Sach went to the IKEA store. And they got us cinnamon buns.

Cinnamon buns for breakfast are Craig’s favourite.

Maybe they will be mine too. Ha. That is a good idea.

When Zita was out Craig and I played the chair game.

And I won. Again. Ha.

But then I had to get off so I could mind Craig. Right beside him.

And I got a treat too.

When Zita came home she had her brand new telephone. Ha. That was a good idea.

After dinner we watched more detective programs.

My friend Niamh did not have dinner with us.

Because she had to finish her important work before tonight.

And when she was finished she went to get ice cream.

But we did not have any because we went to our comfy beds.

Because we were awake early this morning.
