Day One Hundred and Twenty Nine

It was another very early day for everyone.

Even Craig was dressed and pretended to be awake.

After exercising Miss Pancake Niamh drove Zita to her downtown office before going to her early class at the university.

So Craig was alone on Miss Pancake watch.

Not wanting to get in the way of the whirlwind we went off to Little Victories.

Dugal suggested the porridge restaurant, but none of us were up to trudging over the steep bridge.

So Little Victories it was.

When we got home only Craig and Miss Pancake were still home.

They were having a heated discussion about the white chair.

And Miss P’s decision to claim it as hers.

We decided our presence was a needless distraction and all three of us went for an invigorating walk.

And noticed that the banana muffins at Bridgehead were just tumbling from the oven.

What perfect timing.

When we made our next return Craig was on his second espresso and Miss Dog was fast asleep wrapped around the dining room table.

My goodness me. Or us, to be accurate.

Since we could offer no further help we emulated Pancake and had our morning naps.

Craig took over the responsibility for the integrity of the house. Aided by his third coffee.

After lunchtime Miss Pancake went outside until she was ready for her afternoon nap.

As it was not too nasty out we wondered over to The Wild Oat for a late lunch.

When we got home the house was mouse quiet and not wanting to disturb anything slipped into our own lovely nap.

And we were fast asleep until Zita got home. And she was soaked all the way through.

Because of the rain in the afternoon.

We made it in just in time apparently.
