Day Three Hundred and Two

Miss Pancake

It was a very beautiful day outside today because it was as sunny as could be and not even a bit too hot.

We had Scotsman’s porridge for our breakfast and I got chicken and rice too. Ha.

But after our lovely walk we had to go to work because it was go to work Monday. Oh well.

So I helped Zita in our own office.

Then when Craig was all awake I helped him with his porridge too.

I licked the bowl as clean as could be. And the spoon too.

So then I had my morning nap right beside him.

So I could mind him at the same time.

I did not see my friend Niamh this morning.

Because she was downstairs making her beautiful pictures for that far away wedding.

Last night when everybody was fast asleep except for Niamh and I, a man brought a pizza to our house.

And Niamh and I ate it in the dark.

And nobody knew. Ha. It was our secret snack.

Festis and Furrgus

Well to say that we were pleasantly impressed this morning would be an understatement.

Culinary common sense has struck the household.

Mrs. T made porridge for her breakfast and when Mr. T arose he too had porridge.

Real, cooked in a pot, stick to your insides porridge.

So taking this as an omen, we three set out over the bridge to Oat Couture and partook of our own porridge ensemble.

After a bracing meal and a small carafe of espressos we returned home.

We dallied a bit on the bridge to watch the boat traffic on the canal, it being the height of tourist season.

Miss Pancake

When Niamh came upstairs to do some more of her beautiful painting I was her minder.

Right on the comfy sofa in the den.

So I had a very good relax this morning.

Because I was up until very late last night eating pizzas. Ha.

For our lunchtime Zita made tasty toasts for everybody.

But Craig shares his toasts more than Niamh. Oh well.

Then I went outside to help my friend Craig take a very funny bookcase all apart.

And he hit every thing with a special hammer until all the little pieces fell out.

I was a big help.

But I had to give the little pieces of wood back.

Because maybe someone else might want to put it all back together.

Then I went back and minded Niamh in the den.

Craig’s friend Mister Kirk is going to his new church in way very far away.

Even past the mountains where I was born. My goodness.

And he is driving a tuck with all his things inside.

Even Mister Max too.

And it is a very very long drive. More than a whole day.

He gets to sit in the front seat. Because there is no back seat. That is silly.

Mister Max will keep Mister Kirk fast awake

That is a good job for dogs.

Oh dear Craig made a mistake.

Emmet’s do not get lost aeroplane is going to be here tomorrow. Not the next day. Oh my goodness.

So Zita had to get a giant box of tea and lots of old as can be cheese. Ha.

Now I will know his smell. And I will know it forever.

Because dogs do not ever forget their very own family’s smells. It is known.

After I helped Craig with that bookcase I minded Niamh in the den.

While she made her very beautiful pictures. That is a good job for me.

Then I went in the living room so Craig would not be lonely.

We just listened to some lady singing quiet music. So I had a very nice relax.

Zita made a very very special from Italy dinner tonight. It was lemon stuffed round pastas.

And they were full of special cheeses. Ha.

And she had to put things right inside the pastas.

And she had to do everything with her own hands.

So I could not help.

So I minded Niamh and just like that she was finished.

And her far away was as happy as could be. Maybe even more. Ha.

And she is getting real money for her beautiful pictures. My goodness me. That is a good idea.

Day Three Hundred and One

Miss Pancake

After our breakfast we went to our farm again.

The farm is my favourite place for running all around.

So we had a long stay today.

And when we got home Craig was all wake and he had his coffee and his cinnamon bun.

Then Mister Paul came here to borrow the fast car.

But when Craig and Zita where talking to Mister Paul I ate the rest of that cinnamon bun.

Then I was in trouble. Oh dear.

And Zita said if I got a sick tummy it was my own fault. Oh well, too bad for me.

Then I had my nap. Because I was all full up.

Furrgus and Festis

After we conducted our morning sweep and a quick breakfast we were off to Chamberfest.

Today we delighted in the Lafayette Quartet’s Final Bow. They were accompanied by Craig and Zita’’s friend James Campbell.

For their sake we chose to ignore the fact that he is a self proclaimed and unrepentant Campbell.

There is no accountability in genetics I know, but really now.

After a rather tasty buffet we went to hear the Skye Consort with a Ms. Bjöling.

To be quite honest we are not sure that they come from our Skye, be that as it may we had an immensely enjoyable day.

And as a result we did not make it home until well past dinner.

The sherry party quite waylaid our timetable I must say.

Miss Pancake

Zita was downstairs nearly all day.

Because we did not have any clean clothes. Oh dear.

But when she was nearly finished the fast car took us for a ride.

We filled up our trunk with our too much stuff and took them to the store for people who do not have enough stuff.

I had my safety belt on so I could stick my head out the window until my ears flapped. Ha.

But I cannot stick my head out when we are going fast.

Because my ears might flap right off. Zita told me.

So then I sit very nicely and look at everything out the window.

And when I get too hot I lay down and put my head between the chairs, and the cold air machine keeps me as cool as can be.

I was a big help. Zita told me.

When we got home it was time for me to help Zita make the dinner. That is a good job.

Then we watched the funny angel and his friend.

That is a good program.

Because it is not even a bit scary. Ha.

Day Three Hundred

Miss Pancake

After we were all awake our fast car took Zita and I to my favourite farm.

Because now my stitches are perfect. Ha.

So now I could run around just like that.

And now the fields are full of everything, even lots of corn.

And giant rolls of tasty food for the cows.

And I saw them. My goodness. What an adventure for us.

Then we went home. Oh well.

Today I got chicken and rice for my breakfast and for my lunch.

It is just like the tasty food from way far away India. But it is not so smelly.

Then Zita and Niamh went to that store to get a new pen for her flat computer.

Then Zita took her to her lovely shop.

When Craig talked to his friends on his flat computer I helped him with the two toasts. With lots of jam.

When Zita came home she went downstairs to make Emmet’s room all neat and tidy.

Because Emmet is going to be here for a while. And later Miss Alice too.

I have never smelled Emmet or Miss Alice.

I have only seen the pictures that Emmet sends me.

Because when I got here Emmet was back at his very old university in very far away Ireland.

But very soon he will be here and he can see what a very fast runner I am. And I can mind him too.

That is a good idea for me. Ha.

Festis and Furrgus

Thank goodness that Miss Niamh got her IPad back. It was only missing the pen.

I suspect that Dugal is a tad disappointed, as he was looking forward to running amok to find the thief.

Thank goodness we did not send for Cousin Elseabeth, lord know what mayhem the two of them would have inflicted on the city.

Anyway alls well that ends well, as they say.

But to be honest I think all of us were quite astonished as the peaceful resolution of the situation.

As we were leaving on morning patrol Mrs. T and Pancake were leaving for the Experimental Farm for some exercise.

With her incision fully healed they headed off to their frolic.

We headed to the Wild Oat for our mushrooms and Brie omelettes.

Perhaps with only one side order of extra home fries today. Well one each of course.

We read young Emmet’s paper last night over Scotch and doughnuts.

Their research reminded the three of us of our grandparents days. But with accompanying bagpipes.

Though we did notice that Emmet was clean shaven. A yearly ritual I think.

As we noticed that Mrs. T was cleaning out his bedroom we remembered that he is spending most of August with us.

Perhaps we can get an explanation of some of the finer points of the paper.

When we got home the weather had closed in and was looking more ominous that we would have liked, so we counted ourselves lucky to have made it home without surprises.

Miss Pancake

I got more chicken for my second lunchtime. That was a treat for me.

Zita went to visit Mr. IKEA’s store to get a warm duvet for our bed.

And she found a box of delicious cinnamon buns for our breakfasts.

When she got home I took Craig and Zita on an adventure walk.

We went to the other pond. But there were no ducks there today. Oh well.

It was a slow walk because Craig is not so very fast. Oh well.

Then it was dinnertime for me and then for Craig and Zita.

Tonight Zita taught me the peas game. Ha.

That was Poppy’s favourite game. It is a very good game. Ha.

Niamh is not here tonight.

Because she went to Jamie’s parent’s cottage. To keep Tarryn company.

Tonight we did not watch any detective programs.

We watched a program with an angel and a demon. Ha.

And the demon has a very fast old car.

Then I went to bed. So did Craig and Zita.

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Nine

Miss Pancake

We had a very bad morning.

Some nasty person stole my friend Niamh’s flat computer. Right from our car.

And it was filled with all her beautiful art.

And Niamh was very very upset and started to cry. So I got very very upset too.

Because I did not know how to fix her all up.

And that is my most important job. Oh my goodness.

Oh my goodness we were very very upset.

I will talk to Mister Saint Newton tonight.

Maybe he will get Poppy to help me be the best helper. Oh dear me.

Then Zita and Niamh went right away to visit the police.

I looked out my watching window to see if I could find that nasty person.

Then I could bite their bottoms until they gave the computer back to Niamh.

When Zita and Niamh got to the police station a very nice police lady helped them.

And he is going to try to catch the nasty person. Oh my goodness me.

When they came home Niamh and I were still upset.

Then Tarryn came here in Mister Jamie’s car.

And she took Niamh to their work at the beautiful shop. Oh my goodness me.

I do not have to wear my pyjamas anymore.

Because my stitches are all better. Ha.

But now I have very curly fur.

Because I am getting to be a big dog. Ha.

After we had two toasts Zita went outside to our side garden before it was all rainy.

And we had lots and lots of our own very delicious vegetables. Ha.

Even different kinds of tasty beans. And onions for hamburgers. Oh my goodness.

And then she found raspberries. Own made raspberries from our garden.

But those noisy birds ate some of them. Oh dear.

Zita took some of those vegetables to the lady who helps take care of that garden.

She does not have anywhere to have a garden so she uses our side garden instead.

At lunchtime Zita took Niamh to look for her computer.

When Zita talked to Craig they still had not found it. But Mister SD came to mind them for me. But they still did not find it.

Zita told Craig not to eat any lunch because she was going to bring home sandwiches.

That was a very good idea.

Dugal

I must state we are embarrassed beyond measure, and I as the OIC take full and absolute responsibility for this scandalous lapse in security.

How we did not notice the theft of our Niamh’s IPad from the car is quite beyond me.

But we will raze the earth until we find the culprit.

Now the police have been brought in, but the three of us are a barely hopeful of a positive outcome.

So we will call in what favours are languishing about, including bringing cousin Elseabeth into the equation.

Which caused Festis to remind me that we may need a new shovel if Elseabeth’s involvement comes to pass.

Those cliffs at Cap Ferrat are quite convenient, but of limited utility while we are here.

After making our abject apologies to the young Miss and Mrs. T. we had to console poor Miss Pancake, as she was taking the situation quite hard.

We tried to explain that she was still learning the trade and could by no means be held in the least bit responsible.

I am not sure we had much success, Bouviers being stubborn to the core.

I will make a long distance connection to Poppy tonight, and ask for her assistance in this delicate situation.

After the ladies had left for the Police Station we had a very subdued walk up to Bank Street.

Nothing helps a guilty disposition like chocolate croissants and too many espressos,

So as we travelled to Little Victories we completely reviewed our security protocols, as they were obviously inadequate.

We were forced to admit that the precautions while perfectly adequate to forestall Racoons, Skunks and the occasional lost Coyote have proven ineffective for two legged creatures.

So I ordered a few flash bangs for some in-depth response. It is amazing what one can order from a portable telephone.

We also decided not to inform Mrs. T as to ensure plausible deniability if necessary.

That being settled. We focused on the croissants.

Miss Pancake.

I was fast asleep when all of a sudden there was a thunderstorm and there was ice falling on our beautiful front garden.

And it was very very noisy too.

And I barked at it and then it went away and there was only very bouncy rain.

My goodness. It was good that I was here to mind Craig.

He was not even a bit scared. That is good.

When Zita and Niamh got home the sandwiches were so big and delicious that they were Craig’s dinner. My goodness me.

I even got a bit with cheese and beef on it. Ha. That was a very tasty treat.

And Zita said it was a very tiny shop that only makes very delicious sandwiches.

And they were not even a bit expensive.

So everybody had their dinner before me. That was silly.

But they did not find Niamh’s important computer. Oh my goodness.

We sent Emmet a picture of our raspberries and they were very excited. Oh my goodness.

And they told us that there were so many people at the important story that there were not enough chairs for everybody .

And people had to sit on the floor to listen to the story. Oh my goodness.

And those people said it was the very best story there. Ha.

Craig and Dugal said they were not surprised.

And since today is the Scotch for everybody day, all the Badgers went downstairs to read Emmet’s story out loud.

And to drink their Scotch and eat their doughnuts. Ha.

And then when I was a bit fast asleep in my chair just like that Niamh telephoned us.

Because she got her computer back.

A nice man saw the man who stole it. And he took it back.

And he gave it back to Niamh. Oh my goodness gracious.

So she gave him a reward. Ha.

She was very very happy. So was I.

Craig was just very surprised.

I am always very happy when my family is happy. All dogs are like that. Ha.

Before my dinner Zita and I went for a practice walk.

Because we were so busy today that we did not have our other walk.

We got to watch the television early tonight.

Because of the sandwiches.

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Eight

Miss Pancake

It was not so very nice outside today.

I helped Niamh with her breakfast until it was time for us to drive Zita to her downtown office.

Because today is her Thursday go downtown day.

When we got home Niamh and I had a very long practice walk.

And I was only a little bit soggy when we got home.

I minded Niamh while she made more beautiful pictures for that wedding in far away Italy.

Then when Craig was all dressed Niamh put on her fancy go to work clothes and the fast car took her to the lovely shop.

Our car went to Mister Mike’s fix your car garage yesterday.

To get new I Am Going To Stop lights. That was a good idea.

After Niamh was gone it was time for Craig’s next coffees and to make the round toasts.

So we had two toasts and lots of jam too.

Then it was a Craig and Pancake day.

And we had a relax because I have been very busy. My goodness me.

Furrgus and Festis

Well it was inevitable that the beautiful days could not last indefinitely, and so to prove the point this morning was a much of a muchness.

But we did not let a sprinkle here and there distract us from our regime.

So my brother and I, dressed appropriately, set forth on morning patrol.

I must say we were rather disappointed that our young Emmet’s presentation was not broadcast, as we were most surely looking forward to it.

I mean how could anyone not be intrigued by the topic.

“Artisanal Slaughter “ The Development of Clesa in Medieval Irish Heroic Literature.

As soon as we saw today’s program we told Dugal.

Now you must remember that young Emmet is well known for carefully crafting the titles of papers.

And this was no exception.

“Artisanal Slaughter”, by my word, that is a sure to be someone’s motto before long.

Perhaps my brother and I will get a signed copy for Dugal for his birthday. Wouldn’t he be thrilled.

While we walked up to Little Victories, it was after doughnut delivery Thursday, we discussed if we should get Emmet’s paper leather bound.

We finally decided that with the inevitability of so many future papers we might as well opt for a yearly edition.

Naturally our doughnut order was awaiting us, hidden behind the counter.

So after a few espressos to fully awaken us, we rambled over to the canal to watch the tourists.

Which with the renting of canoes at Dow’s lake is always amusing.

As we walked home the sun made an appearance, which was most welcome I must say.

By the time we got home Mr. T and Miss Pancake had finished their lunch and were starting the afternoon relax.

We followed their fine examples.

Miss Pancake

Craig and I had a very tasty fat peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwich for our lunch.

Then I was ready for my afternoon nap.

Because it is our day to have a relax.

Last night when Zita and I were watching the detective program I got nearly the whole sofa just for me. Ha.

Today our cousin Lucy is by the far away ocean, with Zita’s father, in very far away Ireland.

Maybe they were looking for those whales. Maybe.

And cousin Ciara was at that ice cream shop. I think that Zita’s mother was with her. Ha.

It was very sunny this afternoon. But it got a bit too hot.

So I had my naps inside today.

Because it was a Craig and Pancake relax day.

When Zita got home we had to have a fast dinner.

Because she had another important meeting to go to on her computer.

So we had the already cooked chicken.

When we finished diner Niamh and I went in the fast car to get Tarryn and bring her back to my house.

When we got home it was my dinner time. That is my favourite time.

When Zita was all finished with her meeting we still had time to watch our detective program.

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Seven

Miss Pancake

I had a very busy morning.

Because as soon as we had our breakfast we got into the fast car.

So we could take Professor Jill with Mister Willy, her little dog, to his dentist.

I got to sit in the back seat all by myself.

I looked out the windows for a long time, then I had a nap.

When we got there Zita and I had a lovely walk all around before we took Professor Jill back to her house.

When we got home Niamh and the fast car went to do an important errand so I waited for Craig to make his coffee.

Then Craig and Zita talked to all the people at Craig’s mother’s little apartment.

I minded them underneath the dining room table.

Then Craig made round toasts for everybody. With jams.

But then it was time for Zita to drive Niamh to her shop and then she went to do some shopping.

I stayed here to mind Craig and have my morning relax. In my very comfy chair.

Festis and. Furrgus

We spent a very pleasant evening at the wine bar.

We had one of their exquisite charcuterie boards, we one for each of us anyway.

After finishing a few of those, we, upon scanning the dessert menu were delighted to find bread puddings.

Accompanied by ice cream and sliced strawberries.

My goodness what a treat.

I don’t know about the others but I do not think I have had a decent bread pudding since Vienna in ‘28.

I shall write Elseabeth right away. She will be insanely jealous.

Miss Pancake

I had two very big lunches today.

Because I had a very little breakfast this morning.

Because of the long car ride.

But after my second lunchtime I was all filled up.

Zita was not here because she had to take Professor Jill to get Mister Willy at his dentist.

So I minded Craig. Zita told me I was the very best Craig minder.

Because he does not get into any trouble when I mind him. Ha. Good for me.

Emmet is still at that other very very old university.

With all the other university students who know all about those very very old people.

That university is in a very old city.

Our city is not so old.

And tomorrow Emmet is telling everybody the very interesting story all about about killing people in long time ago Ireland.

When Zita got home she brought an already cooked chicken for our dinner. My goodness.

That was a tasty surprise.

And just when we were finished Niamh and Tarryn and even Sach came home to my house.

But they all went downstairs.

So I minded Craig and Zita and we watched our detective program. Ha.

And then it was our bedtime.

Tuesday, 25 July 2023

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Six

Miss Pancake

We did not get up so early this morning.

But it was not so very hot outside.

So we had a very nice quiet walk after we had our breakfast.

I helped Zita with her toasts.

When Craig got up Zita had too many coffees so he just had his own.

I stayed in our office so I could be Zita’s helper.

When Craig had his another next coffee he made round toasts. And he made two. Ha.

And they were the full of holes round toasts from England. And he put the very tasty raspberry jam all over them.

And the jam was from England too. My goodness me those are tasty toasts.

Then all of a sudden Niamh was home from that cottage.

Because she had to put on her nice clothes so she could go to work at the lovely store.

Miss Kelly and Mister Andy’s aeroplane found their friend Miss Audrey.

And now they are on another aeroplane, so they can go to their very far away in the mountains home.

Because Miss Audrey is still a very small puppy, she can stay with all the people, and not go in the scary basement.

That is a good idea.

Because aeroplanes have very scary basements.

I had my very own house and my own blanket, but it was still a bit too scary.

Before lunchtime Zita and I went on a very nice walk. And I was a very good listener. Ha

And when we got home I had my own lunch while Zita made her lunch.

Then I helped Craig eat his cheese on top of crunchy crackers.

But then I went in the den for my afternoon nap on my own comfy sofa. Ha.

I had a very long relax. Good for me.

Furrgus and Festis

Well luck was with us.

The thunderstorm missed our evening patrol and this morning it was another fine summer’s day.

So my brother and I dilly dallied around attending to Make and Mend, before attempting a mid morning patrol.

Joey’s patio was open by the time we had finally finished and reached Bank Street.

As one might suspect we had reached event horizon hunger. so we had breakfast steak’s and fries to remedy this.

Another order of chips and gravy and we were on our way, feeling quite replete, I do say.

We promenaded along Bank Street greeting all our friends and picked up two maple walnut muffins for Uncle.

He was sure to be awake by the time we returned and would be at a loss if we arrived empty handed.

Miss Pancake

Tonight Zita and Niamh are going to a movie show. Before Niamh can have dinner. Oh dear.

And it is all about a lady who only wears pink clothes.

My goodness.

Some of my best toys are pink.

But I cannot go with them.

I have to stay here and mind Craig. So he does not just eat chips for his dinner.

But all the ladies will have the giant movie popcorns.

Because you always have to have those popcorns when you go to a movie. It is the rule.

After my nap I minded Zita on my very big comfy cushion in our office.

When Zita and Niamh and Tarryn and Sach went to the movie they all had some pink clothes on. My goodness.

They said it is the rule for the movie. My goodness me.

When everybody got home there was still time to watch our detective program.

So we did. Ha,

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Five

Miss Pancake

We did not wake up so early this morning.

And when I went outside it was a beautiful day again.

So after our breakfast and our cappuccinos, we went for a lovely walk.

So I could practice my sitting, and stopping, and nice walking.

But then it was time to go to our rascal ladies work. That is an easy job for me.

After a while Zita made toasts for herself and for Craig and I too. Ha.

Then when Niamh was all dressed I minded her in the den.

I have another watching window in the den. Ha.

Then I went outside in our side yard to help Niamh with her breakfast.

I was very busy this morning.

So I had a nice relax in the living room with Craig. I got a just because treat.

Festis and Furrgus

Another beautiful day met us as we opened the front door to start the morning patrol.

Mrs. T and Miss P had just left for their morning constitutional.

So we proceeded in the opposite direction as to not disturb the morning’s training.

As it was a Monday in the midst of summer vacation season so even The Wild Oat was not crowded this morning.

So we hijacked one of the tables overlooking Bank Street so we could indulge ourselves in a bit of people watching as we breakfasted.

As we are in the midst of the fruit season, their menu now includes fresh fruit pies.

Let no one tell tell that pies are not appropriate breakfasts.

We have years of experience that proves them wrong.

A pie, a few cinnamon swirls and a couple of carafes of coffee and you have a Badger approved breakfast.

Upon returning home we noted that everyone was fully occupied so went went for our naps, without interrupting them.

We put the extra cinnamon swirls in the freezer.

Miss Pancake

When Zita and I got back from our lunchtime walk Craig reminded me that it was my lunchtime. Ha.

I was very busy this morning so I almost forgot.

Zita’s mother and father are in the little house near the ocean. For their vacation.

Zita’s father always goes swimming in the ocean. With the whales. My goodness me.

There is a shop in that little town that sells ice cream. That is Zita’s mother’s favourite.

Today Auntie Eileen and Mister Sully are there too.

To help Zita’s mother eat her ice creams. That is a good idea.

Mister Sully is a good minder dog. Just like me.

At lunchtime the go fast car took Niamh to her friend’s cottage.

Because it was the very best kind of day to go to a cottage. Ha.

And she is going to sleep there tonight. My goodness me.

I hope there is a fierce minder dog there so the bears will not come and steal all the treats.

My friend Emmet is at his important meetings in way far away Holland.

At a very old university. Even older than the one in Cork. My goodness me.

Everything in way far away is very old. Like Zita’s own parents.

All his friends from universities all over everywhere are there too.

Even his Professor from his Mister Saint Francis’s University. My goodness.

Maybe everyone will have a together dinner. Maybe.

We did not have a together dinner tonight.

Because Niamh is at that cottage and Zita went out for a lovely dinner with her friend Kathy.

So Craig had a sandwich by himself.

But it was a very delicious bacons sandwich so he did not mind.

Then Craig and I looked out our windows at the bounce into the air rain.

And all the people outside were just as soggy as could be. My goodness.

And there was lots of very loud thunder.

But stayed in the house, so we were not even a bit scared or soggy. Ha. Good for us.

When Zita got home it was not so late.

So we watched our detective program before we went to bed.

Sunday, 23 July 2023

Day Two Hundred and Ninety Four

Miss Pancake

I got up early today, but then I went back to sleep.

But my friend Zita could not go back to sleep at all. Oh my.

So she just was all awake and got up.

It was another very beautiful as could be day outside.

So we had a very nice walk up and down my block. So I would not forget get everything, like Craig’s own mother.

After our breakfast Zita found her clothes fixing machine and she fixed my own beautiful blanket.

It had a little tear in it. I think I did it.

But it is all fixed. And everybody can see my name right on it.

A lady from very very far away made it just for me. That was very nice.

And today she is on an aeroplane to get Miss Audrey.

Miss Audrey is their brand new puppy. Oh my goodness me.

And tomorrow my friend Emmet is going to get on an aeroplane that knows how to find Holland.

All by itself. Ha.

Because he is going to a very important meeting there.

And that is where they will be telling everybody the very important story about killing people.

In very very long time ago and very in faraway Ireland. Oh my goodness.

I had a very nice nap when Zita and Niamh were downstairs.

And I minded Craig when he had his coffees.

Festis and Furrgus

As it was Sunday, and a quite spectacular Sunday I might add, so we all went on morning patrol, even Uncle Dugal.

It is easier to rose him with the incentive of a plate engulfed by home fries and sausages at the end of the patrol.

So obviously we were one of the first ones to arrive at the Sunset Gill.

That ensured that we got our favourite table overlooking the farmers market.

After we were rather stuffed, we ventured into the market, where we found one of life’s basic needs - honey.

After stocking up up we walked along the canal path until we reached the turning for our ponds and we returned home, content with ourselves.

Miss Pancake

After lunchtime Zita was very busy painting around the bathroom door.

But I could not be her helper.

Because I had to help Craig.

Because he made his peanut butter and honey sandwich too fat.

So I had to help him. So I was very busy this afternoon.

Niamh and her very fast bicycle went to play with her friends. They are going to play baseball.

They are only up the street, where all the lovely farmers sell very tasty treats for everybody.

Festis and Furrgus and even Dugal were there this morning. To visit those farmers.

And they brought home lots of from right here honey.

Bees make that honey in their own houses.

Maybe I know those bees.

Because bees come to our side yard all the time. Maybe they are those bees.

I do not think Niamh will play outside for so long.

Because it is very hot outside.

Maybe they will just go and have some beers instead. Maybe.

We did not go for an after lunchtime walk today.

Because it the sidewalks were too hot for my feet. So I just stayed in the house.

Where it is not hot.

But Zita got the cut your toes off machine to make the grass not so very long.

I had to stay in the house because of the dangerous machine.

But I watched her from my watching window.

So she would be safe. That is my best job.

When Niamh got home she had a brand new carry all her stuff bag.

And a beer. And they were just all free.

Because she answered a big bunch of questions. Ha.

Then she had to have a shower because she was too smelly.

And you cannot be smelly for dinnertime. It is the rule.

We had our dinner early today.

Because we got up too early this morning.

But after dinner watched the detective program and Craig had a big bowl of ice cream.

I always get to lick the bowl when he is finished.
