Even when we got up it was so hot that we went to our farm right away.
So we would not just melt and be a puddle.
I had a nice quiet run around, but not for such a long time today.
Then we went home.
But we were in the car and it has its own cold air machine. Ha.
But when we got home I had to mind Zita in our office.
Because she had work to do even on her do not do any work day. Oh dear. That is not so nice.
When Niamh was all dressed she had to go out to bring back some clothes that did not fit.
Craig was going to his neat and tidy store today.
Because he has way too much hair.
But it was so hot outside that he did not go. Too bad for him.
Festis and Furrgus
We set our alarms for five thirty so we could assemble ourselves for another scorcher.
Last night we dropped by Miss Katie’s Wine Bar for a late night pizza.
It had been far too hot to venture forth until well past eight.
Fortunately her restaurant is open until quite late in the evening.
This morning after having made our rounds, we contented ourselves with quick trip to The Wild Oat for a few croissant sandwiches.
It was too hot for anything more substantial I must say.
But they kindly sent us on our way with large glasses of iced tea.
We were fortunate to get home before the full impact of the sun had occurred.
Thank goodness for pith helmets I say.
After a quick discussion we decided to forego the mid-afternoon patrol and have, as Miss Pancake says, a relax.
We did note, with some concern, that it is nearly three times hotter here than Glenfinnan.
That certainly encouraged an afternoon nap.
Miss Pancake
We had visitors this afternoon because we have a nice and cool house. They were friends of Niamh’s.
And Niamh brought us doughnuts from Miss Suzy Q’s. That was a good idea.
I always get to lick the plate as clean as can be. Good for me.
Those doughnuts are the badgers favourite, but they were all way too fast asleep. Too bad for them.
Niamh and her friends went downstairs were it is nearly cold. My goodness me.
Zita went out to do some errands in the cool and fast car.
Our friend Mister Kirk went shopping today in way way way far away Egypt.
And all the shops were outside shops. My goodness.
Maybe he will find something very nice for Mister Max.
Then it was time for my afternoon nap.
When it is way too hot outside that is when you have a long relax. It is the rule.
When Zita got home she was almost melted.
That is why I did not go outside too much today.
Niamh is going to a concert tonight. To hear a very famous singer.
My goodness.
She is going with her almost a cousin Miss Tara.
Because Tara found an extra ticket. My goodness that was lucky.
After a very delicious dinner Zita and I went for a just around here walk. To practice my nice walking.
It was only too hot, not way too hot.
Then Craig and Zita and I went into the den to watch the detective program.
But it is a too complicated program.
So I had a nice nap.
Until it was bedtime.
