Day Two Hundred and Seventy Two

Miss Pancake

Zita and I had a nice quiet morning today.

After she had her First Coffee and I had my breakfast we sat in the living room and looked out the window.

It was not even a bit sunny this morning. Oh well.

Then Zita talked to her mother and her father in far away Ireland.

I sat in my very comfy chair and guarded the house.

Because all the badgers had to go to a busy street restaurant, for an outside brunch.

When Craig was all awake I went into the big bedroom and helped him get dressed. That is an easy job.

Then I minded him when Zita went to give that nasty cat it’s breakfast. Oh well.

But when she got back we decided that we should go to our very favourite farm.

So we both could have some exercising. And some practice nice walking too.

Craig had to mind himself.

Because we were at the farm and Niamh was still in Toronto and all the badger’s were having their Sunday breakfast. Oh dear.

Dugal and Festis and Furrgus

Well the young lads forced me to awake early. So we would miss the brunch crowds at Landsdowne.

So upon arriving at Craft Beer we immediately settled ourselves at the patio table with the best view of the farmers market.

Having eaten here many times we ordered three of their rather delicious, and filling Nacho Supremes.

It was a bit early for even cider, so we ordered a few espressos. To cleanse the palate.

After having our fill we, with some trepidation, ventured into the farmers market.

The fact that there was a Strawberry festival happening, overcame our distaste for crowds.

And the fact the the proceeds of the Sundaes were going to charity unfortunately encouraged my nephew’s tendency to excess.

But the acres of strawberries overshadowed common sense and we exited the fair grounds burdened down by many kilos of fresh strawberries and various jams.

We could not bear offending any of the lovely home made jam people and ended up buying at least one example from every one of them.

Ahh well. Excess leads to excess.

We will be shipping the excess to Tiroam. Cook will take care of  them I am certain.

Miss Pancake

Zita and I had a wonderful time at the farm.

When we were finished I was very thirsty, but Zita had brought my own bowl and a bottle of water just for me. Ha.

When we got home I was a bit tired and had my nap right away.

Zita had to go to the little hardware store. Because we have ants underneath our sink.

And Zita hates ants. So she went and got some no more ants boxes.

When the badgers came home they had so many strawberries jams there was no room in the refrigerator.

So they had to send them to Festis and Furrgus’s castle so that everybody there could have delicious jam with their tea.

Maybe on top of scones too.

You have to have scones in Scotland or nobody will come to your house for snacks. It is their rule.

Zita’s father makes his own jam.

And he grows the berries right there in her parent’s own garden. My goodness me. That is a good trick.

Craig and I had two very big peanut sandwiches.

And they were not the same. One was with honey and the other one had the new raspberries jam all over it.

When we had our lunch Zita went into the garden to make it all neat and tidy again.

She had her whirling machine.

And the cut your toes off machine too.

So I had to stay inside to keep Craig company.

Then Zita went to the grocery store, so I went into the den and minded Craig from the comfy sofa.

And when Zita got home she gave me an ice cube for minding Craig. Ha.

Then it was time for another nice walk. I was very very good at remembering everything today.

So after I had a little rest it was time for my first dinner.

After dinner we watched all the new detective program. Until very late.

And it is a bit scary.

So we had ice cream.

And then we went to our very comfy beds.
