Day Two Hundred and Eighty Eight

Miss Pancake

I had a nice sleep last night. I slept on the comfy sofa in the den.

Because it is more comfortable when you have stitches.

Because it was our Monday go back to workday we went back to work.

Niamh did not go to her other work today, so I minded her nearly all morning. In the den on the comfy sofa.

But then I started to run everywhere and jump up too.

Because I am the very best jumping dog.

But you cannot be a jumping dog when you have stitches.

But my nice Doctor got me some have a nice relax pills.

So I won’t hurt myself.

Then I had a nap.

When Craig was all awake he made toasts for everybody.

And everybody wanted different things on their toasts.

But Craig and I had our delicious raspberry jam on ours. Ha.

But we used it all up.

So now we have to get brand new raspberry jams for our good morning toasts. Oh well.

Then Miss Tara came to visit Niamh.

And they went downstairs.

But I could not go down the scary stairs.

Because I am still too young to go down those stairs.

So I just watched them from upstairs.

But when I went outside my lovely suit got a bit wet.

So Zita washed it until it was squeaky clean.

And when it was in the clothes drying machine I got to wear one of Craig’s own t-shirts. Ha.

Then our friend Mister Garry came for a visit.

But I did not remember him.

And I was a little bit scared. Because he is very very tall.

But he gave me lots of treats.

Mister Matti used to live with him. He was Miss Poppy’s own very big cousin.

Mister Gary likes Bouvier dogs the best. And I am a Bouvier too. Ha.

When he and Mister Mati were at their cottage they used to go on adventure rides in their own little boat.

He said he will visit me again.

Then my suit was all dry.

And when we put it on Zita said I was very spiffy. That is true.

Festis and Furrgus

When we left the house this morning Mrs. Bruna and Mister Lyndon were about to leave for Rome.

They are meeting Lee there.

So Dugal immediately scribbled down The Duchessa’s particulars - just in case.

And my brother gave them his list of favourite, and cheap restaurants - north of Rome.

As he says one cannot subsist on pasta alone.

So full armed with our advice they left for the heat wave that is Italy.

We simply traipsed over to The Wild Oat for some Strawberry Blintz Crapes.

We ordered a couple strawberry iced smoothies to accompany us home.

After all, our local strawberry season is in full bloom.

Nothing like fresh strawberries and nice Calvados before bed I must say.

Miss Pancake

After lunchtime my friend Tarryn came for a visit.

She and Niamh had important work to do.

So I minded them.

Right under my dining room table. Good for me.

We had lots of people visits today. My goodness me. So I was very busy.

Maybe that is why I was very tired this afternoon.

When Niamh and Tarry were finished their work they went outside into our backyard.

I went too, so I could be their best minder friend.

Zita and the fast car had an after work errand to do for Emmet. I do not know what.

I think it may be a secret.

Everybody had delicious sausages for their dinner. And we cooked them outside.

Because it was only a bit too hot today.

Then we went into the den so we could watch the detective program.

And Zita could have her tea, and Craig and I could have our before bedtime ice cream.
