We had lots and lots of very loud thunder last night.
And Zita and I had to get up lots of times.
Because we do not like those loud thunderstorms.
But this morning when we got up it was nice and quiet again.
So Zita had her cappuccino and I had my cappuccino spoon.
Then Professor Jill came for her good morning coffee so I minded her too.
When Niamh got up I minded all of them.
After Professor Jill went to her house Craig was all dressed too.
So it was time for Zita and I to drive Niamh to her lovely shop.
And when we came home it was time for our toasts. That is a good time for me.
But it takes Zita a very long time to eat her toasts. Too bad for me.
After the toast was all gone Zita and I went for a nice walk just around here.
Zita talked to her parents this morning when I had my before lunchtime nap.
Tomorrow her mother and father are going on vacation. To see the ocean. My goodness.
But the ocean is not so very far away in Ireland.
It takes a very long time to find an ocean where I live. Craig told me.
When I was in that aeroplane we flew for a very long time and there was not even one ocean.
Emmet and Niamh went to universities beside an ocean and they were very far away.
My friend Emmet can nearly see an ocean. Because they live in Ireland.
Ferrous and Festis
My Lord that was a lengthy thunderstorm last time.
We were concerned that the electricity might fail, and with me well ahead in the poker tournament.
But everything continued without interruption, well aside from Miss Pancake’s vocal concerns about the thunder.
When we awoke the storm had passed.
We did a rather extensive patrol this morning, to see if the storm had caused any damage we should be concerned about.
There was nothing we could see, so it was off to Bridgehead for a light breakfast.
I must admit that those cherry pies about three am were rather filling.
So we thought moderation might be the advisable course this morning.
A few ham and cheese croissants was sufficient to dampen the hunger pains.
On our way home we dropped in Little Victories, to refresh our doughnut supplies.
Poker nights always put a large dent in our pastry reserves.
Then fully re-established we returned home, none the worse for wear.
Miss Pancake
After lunch Zita went to our garden to make it neat and tidy before it started to rain again.
I could not be her helper minded her from my watching windows.
But then we had some bouncy rain. So Zita came back in the house.
And then just like the sky was just full of sunshine.
So Zita went back out to fix our garden and I had my afternoon nap.
But I am still a bit a lot tired.
Because I am getting all better from the stitches. And that makes you tired. It is known.
When Craig went into the den to read his book I went to keep him company.
And he had a bowl full of little fishes.
But they were not real fishes. They were cheese fishes. Oh my goodness.
That was a good surprise.
Then after a while Zita and I went on a practice walk.
So I could remember all my summer homework. Because I forgot some of it. Oh well.
Then Zita went to the store to get some tasty food for dinner.
And buy some smelly gasoline for the fast car.
I stayed here to mind my friend Craig.
After dinner Zita went for a walk with her friend Miss Bethany.
I saw her from my other window.
I stayed here to keep Craig company.
