Furrgus
As it was a bit cold, even with our down kilts, we decided to breakfast at Cantina Gia today to warm ourselves up.
Fortunately we were there early enough that there were plenty of pancakes available.
We ordered the healthy option, the one with added fruit.
Sometimes the morning rush sadly limits our choices of tables and menu items.
But not today.
It took a while to get home as we exchanged Happy New Years greetings with all the restauranteurs along Bank Street.
When we finally got home Mrs. T was talking to her mother and father in Dublin.
They had just finished yesterday’s blog.
Fortunately neither of them asked about old Alister.
We probably should have been more circumspect about all of that, but it was well before the second unpleasantness.
And Cousin Morag is the Procurator Fiscal for Lochaber after all.
And I am sure there are statutes of limitations accountable to anything of happenstance.
When they had finished talking Mrs. T drove our Niamh to The Three Trees before she did her shopping.
Mr. T got up just as she left as it was his breakfast with his friends Saturday.
He was still talking to them when Mrs. T got home and refreshed his coffee.
Not only that, but she had found a pecan tart to accompany his next coffee.
But there was only one alas. Just as well I suppose.
When it was time for afternoon patrol it was trying to snow, with only some success.
But we wore our mountain boots, just in case.
Yesterday a lady gave Mr. T a tie. For free.
And it was in the Cameron tartan too. And Mr. T is from that clan.
And they are a quite respectable clan as they have their very own regiment of foot. The 79th.
Can you imagine giving away a perfectly sensible tartan tie. My goodness me.
When we got home there was a football game on the television, but it was only American football.
Zita was busy this afternoon taking to all the people about getting Miss Pancake here.
My goodness there is a lot of things to get right.
Just before six o’clock Mrs. T picked up our Niamh from her work.
We had enough time to have our afternoon naps.
But young Niamh just left Mrs. T here and went off in the car to go shopping.
To buy all the things little Miss Pancake will need when she gets to her new home. That is a good idea.
So Mr. and Mrs. T had some of the delicious Christmas TourtiƩre that was in the freezer.
Then it was more of the cooking detective program for them, we found the cards and the After Eights.
