So we went off on patrol as the sun rose and had our breakfast as soon as Victories was open.
We were back as Zita was completing her packing.
Miss Dog spent her night on her duvet, instead of her crate. Who knows why.
Before Niamh drove her to the airport Zita took Miss Pancake on a bit of a romp in the front yard.
Then they went for little walk and a visit to Lee and Cara’s back yard.
When they returned it was time to leave for the airport.
This did not go over well with young Miss Pancake.
As soon as they left she sat at the back door inconsolate.
And no amount of treats could convince her that they had not abandoned her. My goodness me.
Fortunately as the airport is not that far away and Niamh was back soon.
Much to Miss P’s relief. And ours.
As she has quite a strong voice for such a young dog I do say.
We were not informed of who is in charge when Zita is away.
So we decided to take matters into our own hands and go to The St. Rita.
They have their own wood oven, just for pizzas. So they can cook them in front of you.
And keep your toes warm at the same time.
When we finally got home Zita was safely in Toronto waiting for her flight to Dublin.
And we were quite a bit heavier.
Niamh is going to sleep upstairs to mind Miss Pancake while Zita is in Ireland.
That seems like a reasonable plan I must say.
