Day One Hundred and Twelve

Furrgus

Well here is a memorable day.

The anniversary of the defence of Rorkes Drift.

Brave bunch of lads those Welshmen. Damn fine singers too. Ahh well.

Just think what they could have done with bagpipes to accompany them. My goodness, the thought of it.

Well there was only a little sleep in today, in spite of it being sleep in Sunday.

Apparently puppies are unaware of such niceties.

As Dugal says, we have a lot to learn.

We were very early this morning, so the Sunset Grill was not too busy, and we could linger over our Waffles and whipped cream.

When we got home Mrs. T had gone to her office.

To retrieve her computer. Which she is taking to Ireland with her.

It is our opinion that when you are on vacation, if you cannot do it on your phone; do not do it. My goodness.

But that is only our opinion.

Our Niamh and young Miss Pancake were hard at work writing university papers.

Mr. T was there too. Someone has to supervise he said.

Good manners demanded we not comment.

So we just resumed our perches on above the stereo and had our early afternoon naps.

When Mrs. T returned home young Niamh went downstairs for a well deserved hot bath.

So Mrs. T and Miss Pancake resumed their assault on the side yard ice.

When they came in to warm up that little Miss raced around the hose with her cow.

My goodness but those squeaky toys are loud.

Dugal said that is why they invented headphones. As if he uses headphones. My goodness.

And Festis’s hearing has been questionable ever since his Indefatigable blew up at Jutland.

Mrs. T spent the afternoon packing for her trip, including all the books that our Emmet did not have room on return to university.

And Miss Sach came over to attack the ice also, and perhaps to test a new peach cobbler that had just emerged from our oven.

Craig said there would be plenty left over for us. Thank goodness.

This afternoon they took Miss Pancake on an adventure.

They went to Cara and Lee’s backyard.

Which is all fenced in. So she could run all around, to her heart’s content.

But when they came back Miss Pancake was so tired that she just fell fast asleep in the kitchen.

Wherever Mrs. T was standing.

We decided to go on our evening patrol a little early today.

So we put on our-clip on headlamps and grabbed our walking sticks and took a quick look around.

There were no evidence of untoward activities so we decided to rouse Dugal and we all went to Irene’s.

Fish and chips were on special tonight. So it was an easy decision.

While we were out Miss Niamh and her friends came home and helped with tonight’s dinner.

Craig watched the American football game.

They were playing in a snowstorm.

Which added to the amusement.

We saw it on the big television at Irene’s. Good thing we did not bet on anything.

When we got home dinner was well finished and Mr. and Mrs. T were nearly ready for bed.

Miss Pancake was ready too.

We made it unanimous.
