It is still warmer here than in Dublin so our excursions were not too difficult. Thank goodness.
Fortuitously Eddy’s dinner opened today, but we limited ourselves to the most basic of breakfasts.
Having rather indulged ourselves last week let me say.
Those two extra Haggis each did not help I expect.
And at Mrs. T strong suggestion we included some fruit. Probably for the best.
Her brother telephoned her from Spain at lunchtime.
So they could coordinate helping their parents when their father gets a new hip. Now that is exciting.
Then Miss Niamh drove Emmet and Miss Tarryn into the countryside looking for treasures.
Good thing our Niamh has her license I must say.
We reminded Cousin Morag about the usefulness of drivers licenses and even insurance. We were ignored.
And told we had become far too urban.
And this from a lass with apartments in Edinburgh, St. Moritz and a small chateau somewhere north of Nîmes.
And not to mention the enormous pile that is her family‘s seat.
She is a continuing source of amusement for Furrgus and I.
With a little dog coming our way Mrs. T decided that the bedroom needed a good vacuuming.
Especially under the bed lest the wee one becomes a wondering dust mop.
Then Craig had a spa day for his feet.
Sometimes we go downstairs to the deep and long bathtub to have a long relax and our late night patrols.
But we have had to forgo our counterpoint singing, because we do not want to wake anyone.
Miss Alice is an opera singer.
But I do not think she sings when she is operating on people. It might be distracting.
When Emmet and young Niamh got home they had treasures
They had gone to a store exactly in the middle of nowhere.
And it was the biggest jumbo sale in the world.
All in one house.
And even lots of more outside.
Our Niamh said if you wanted anything, they had three, but you might never ever find them. My goodness me.
And when everyone was home they made delicious pizzas for tonight’s dinner.
But today was the last day of the Christmas holidays.
So everybody was a bit sad as it is get up early again tomorrow.
But they talked all about eals. We would not eat eals on a bet.
So we went on patrol so we did not have nightmares.
