Festis
We even canceled the two o’clock patrol.
This morning Mrs. T cleaned off the car so Niamh could get to her early morning class.
But she did not even think about getting the big shovel, as it was still snowing as fast as could be.
We limited ourselves to a quick tour of our property, looking for suspicious footprints but found none.
We did not go up to Bank Street this morning as there were too many snowploughs racing about for safety.
Fortunately Mrs. T had a full box of sausage rolls in the freezer, and said we were welcome to them.
My goodness but she was very very busy this morning.
Our Niamh had to suddenly go to the family dentist, as one of her wisdom teeth was causing her face to swell.
But they made a special appointment for her right after her first class, with the dentist who went to school in Dublin.
And Mrs. and Mr. T talked to the airline to get Miss Pancake on the very best flight to bring her home to her family.
Then Mr. T made them toast, before Mrs. T had to go to another of her meetings.
Apparently he decided that was a good idea, as for lunch he made himself some toast, with Mackeys Strawberry preserve.
Which was imported from Scotland and had added champagne.
Now that was a very fine Christmas present let me tell you.
Then our Niamh got home she was very very tired and hungry, as she can not really eat because her mouth is too sore.
So Mrs. T went to the pharmacy to get our Niamh’s prescriptions. And a whole lot of easy to eat food.
She said that the driving was foolhardy and she will not go out again.
We completely agreed and only traversed the corner on our afternoon patrol.
I stayed in the house in case extra hands were needed to convey food and drink downstairs for young Niamh.
And we persuaded a reluctant Uncle Dugal not to add a small bottle of scotch to her choice of liquids.
Craig and Furrgus spent much of their afternoon watching automobiles slowly slide across our corner.
Though not one has landed in our pond.
Mrs. T friend Sally gave her an all electric snowblower.
With the longest plug in cord I have ever seen.
So she brought the cord inside until it was not as stiff as a board and then tried the snowblower for the first time.
In our side yard. But the giant cord would not fit.
So she will have to go to our hardware store to get a new end. My goodness.
Mr. T said it looked beautiful outside.
Mrs. T said that it Bloody well better be. Oh dear.
We just kept our heads down and read the Times weekend edition.
Because it was such a very busy week Mrs. T brought home home pizza from the Whole Foods store.
And it was delicious.
A fine end to a very long week if I do say so myself.
