After Zita and I were fast awake she talked to mother. Right in the hospital in Ireland.
And she was wide awake too. Oh my goodness me.
And she is going to have an operation today. To make her hip brand new again. Oh my goodness me.
I had an operation when I was just very brand new. But now I am all right
We did not go for an early in the morning walk this morning.
Because Zita was very busy with everyone in Ireland.
So we went out before our lunchtime instead.
Craig had a little bit of a sleep in.
But not a big one because I sat at the bedroom door and told him it was time to get up. Ha. That is a good job for me.
Then when I went in the bedroom I got right up on the bed and gave him lots and lots of cuddles. Ha.
And when he had his lots of coffee I got the empty box of coffees.
So I could recycle it. Ha.
That is an easy job for me.
Then I looked out the watching window and when Craig made his next coffee and he made a toasty croissant too.
I was a very good waiter today and I got a crunchy bit of that croissant. Ha.
Then it was time for my morning nap.
When Niamh got home from university she found Lee and Cara and Lily walking right in front of my house.
So they came in to say hello to me. Ha. That was nice.
Festis and Furrgus
Well we heard that Zita’s mother will be operated on later this afternoon. Which is speedy thank goodness.
Zita got to talk to her this morning and she was, all things considered, doing very well.
As there was nothing more that we could do, so after morning patrol we went to SEN for a few bowls their warming Mi Wonton soup.
As we had missed an excursion yesterday. We thought it necessary to catch up.
Uncle did not accompany us, as he was busy discussing the lamentable state of Scots politics with Morag.
A topic we try to avoid as it is clearly in need of a new broom, or tumbles.
But breakfast always puts us in a better state of mind, not to mention stomach.
By the time we returned home everyone was home, dressed and awake. Not necessarily in that order.
And Zita’s mother’s operation was done. Thank goodness.
We received a call from Lochlainn in Dugal’s telephone.
He wanted us to know that the electricity held and that the snow was moderating enough that he and the dogs got the sheep into the grange.
Good man that Lochlainn.
He also said that cook sent all the extras to the pub in our name. Can’t hurt if a trial is ever held I do say.
And cook could never abide anything going to waste.
Unfortunately she rather includes Morag’s unmarried status in that.
Lord knows we and every cousin under the sun knows better than to comment on anything Morag does.
It is simply not worth the inevitable trips to the chemist.
Those dogs of hers are even faster than they look. And they look fast. A word to the wise I say.
Miss Pancake
Before my lunch I took Niamh to my snow mountain.
So I could show her how fast I am. Ha. And we stayed there for a very long time.
Because it was only a little cold at lunchtime.
But when I go home Zita was gone.
To the downtown office because there is a new rascal lady starting to work there very soon.
So after I had my lunch Craig and I went into the den.
And I went to fast asleep.
But when I woke up I remembered I was supposed to be Zita’s very best helper when she got back from downtown.
So I went right into our office to be her best assistant. Good for me.
When she got back she had a whole lunch right in a box. From the rascal lady’s important meeting.
When she got back she had a whole lunch right in a box. From the rascal lady’s important meeting.
But it did not have anything tasty for very polite dogs, like me. Oh well.
Maybe Miss Rockette got something better.
After our dinnertime I minded Craig and Zita in the den.
So we could watch the ghost detective.
Zita and I were on the comfy sofa.
So we could fall asleep and Craig could tell us what happened.
